A very warm welcome on entering, with ease of registering the car. The tables were well spaced, the ambience excellent. The service was excellent and had we had sufficient time to choose drinks and the food. The menu had a varied choice of starters,mains and deserts. The food was of excellent quality, quantity, hot and well presented, being of very good value for money. The waiters and waitresses were very polite, well presented and attentive. This was our first visit, but will certainly not be our last!

Terrible restaurant would not recommend. Me and my partners food was salty we complained but, nothing was done we were rushed to order and rushed to eat in the restaurant I made a pre book of the table a week in advance and the staff is rude. I found it an insult to dine with my partner.

I have been here twice and both times the food and service was exceptional. At last a restaurant that knows how to cook a steak properly. Thank you. This is now the 3rd time we have been and yet again the service and the food was absolutely amazing. Thanks again 👍

Italian is always good (In my opinion) and this is,............... Well good. It's not exceptional, it is what you would expect, you won't be disappointed and if it was more local I might go back but I wouldn't make the journey specially.

Beautiful romantic lighting, cosy atmosphere, both times we’ve been service has been brilliant. It’s a little more expensive than some local restaurants but the quality of the food is reflective of that uplift for sure! You can tell ingredients are fresh, dishes are flavourful and well seasoned. Well worth a visit

Stopped here for a quick lunch. Really enjoyed the food. Lots of options on the menu. Pizza is romana style which is great if you like a thin and crispy base. The pasta was beautiful. We would definitely visit again.

Like the others, great service and atmosphere but the food was substantial for a Italian of this calibre in this region. Also my wife ordered a chicken dish with a white wine sauce. It was a cheese sauce instead and was Boiled too much and the chicken was Boiled. Also the sea bass and king prawns dish. I would suggest adding a little more to the dish to make it more appealing for the price. Again this is the only 'italian' I've been to and disappointed. I must stress the word Italian. As don't believe the chefs are Italian from the way the food was cooked.

Since I discovered this Italian restaurant when I have the chance I'm always stopping to get some food,real Italian taste,the staff is really nice and the cappuccino is to die for, highly recommended

The restaurant and menu is classic , or alternatively dare I say dated. But I didnt care and nor did everone else in this packed restaurant it seemed. The menu is not exciting, its robust italian that has been in the UK sincs the 1980s but.....the food itself is cooked very well, the produce is good and the dishes are well sauced. The service is professional and warm. Its a great place to go for food

Having only ever eaten here in the evenings, we decided to try the lunch menu. Very reasonably priced for 2 courses and as usual the service and food was outstanding. This is our new favourite lunch venue.

Incredible dishes, very welcoming and attentive staff. I chose steak rossini and courgettes. Sooo tasty. We had tempura prawns to start, melt in your mouth. Now i know why it's my dad's favourite restaurant. The Montepulciano dabruzzo was divine too. Highly recommend. It was nice to dine in Mere Green for the first time.

Maybe I made the wrong choice, I should have tried pizza or pasta, but I got steak. It wasn't delicious.

For such a large party the service was very efficient. The staff were helpful and very patient coping with the elderly members of the group. The food was served hot and presented well, each dish was beautifully cooked. All those who attended enjoyed their meals and the friendly atmosphere the staff created. Our friend celebrating her 97th birthday really enjoyed herself.

We go here for our anniversary as it's a real treat! Staff are lovely and very efficient. The food is of a very high standard, although quite pricey it is worth it. Book in advance as it can get very busy.

Went to Romantica for our wedding anniversary, knowing we’d have a lovely meal. Friendly greeting asked if we were celebrating and wished us a happy anniversary. Had the fried goats cheese starter and sea bass with seasonal vegetables. Beautifully cooked and presented. Would recommend.

Very rude elderly man waiter tried to make me feel bad for wanting to take my food home with me. It was an expensive night out and the man made fun of us multiple times. He said ‘It’s only like two mouthfuls, just put it on a spoon’ and pointed at my friend’s food and said ‘See she ate it.’ He also said ‘What you going to do? Have it for lunch tomorrow?’ And sniggered. On the way out he said again ‘Don’t forget to eat your lunch tomorrow’ whilst glaring at us. We wouldn’t come back. This restaurant is perfect for date night, offering a charming ambiance and attentive service. The food was delicious, adding to the overall delightful experience. The manager, who seemed to be in charge, was funny and made us feel very welcome ( we even in Spanish and French🤣). Despite living in the area, this was our first visit, and it did not disappoint. The atmosphere was cozy, making it an ideal spot for a romantic evening. The staff’s attentiveness ensured that we had everything we needed throughout our meal. We were thoroughly impressed and will definitely be returning for another visit in the future.

Had a lovely dinner last night at Romantica. It's always worth spending a little more for good quality food. While they did have a few fabulous specials on, I decided to go with the lamb chops instead. There are no side dishes with the main meal, one is required to order each item separately. I decided on mushrooms and dauphinoise. The dessert menu looked amazing, but due to the large portions, even though I only ate half, there wasn't any space for a morsel of dessert. I would have preferred a smaller portion. I know some restaurants offer a lady's portion, but in today's society that may no longer be politically correct, however true. The glass of Merlot wasn't a great choice, not for my palate. The staff were friendly and attentive, and children were made to feel welcome. A pleasant dinner.

Very disappointed. They can't wait to get rid of you, table at 6pm and was being rudely rushed out of the door 1hrs later. I hadn't even closed my knife and fork but it was done for me and my plate whisked away. There was 3 in our party 1 had a beer and the remaining were berated for not wanting alcohol...

About 6 years ago i went here for my 17th birthday, and last week i chose to return again for my 23rd birthday with my parents and boyfriend, and I couldnt be more happy with the experience. The food is incredible, proper high quality italian food - yes it is pricier than places like pizza express but 100% you get what you pay for. Customer service is amazing, the staff are attentive and more than happy to help with any concerns. I'm vegetarian and I asked to have the carbonara without the pancetta and they were more than happy to oblige - it felt like the dish was missing something but to be fair I did ask them to remove a key item so that's my choice obviously. I do wish there were a few more veggie options on the menu but in no way has it stopped me from dining here before. We were checked on regularly without it interrupting our meal, and I can't wait to return for my next celebration.

Romantica is hands down, one of the best restaurants in Sutton Coldfield. The food is excellent and the staff and service are superb. Just check the reviews of Romantica, and it says it all. This place is a gem of a restaurant. We have been coming here at least once a month for years. The lunchtime menu is great value, and they serve the best pint of Moretti in brum.

My first time fining here on Saturday with my husband, food, service and atmosphere was lovely, the steak was divine and even manged pudding! will definitely be back.

The online booking experience was good. The menu was varied and clear. The decor was looking a little tired in places but the service made up for that. All the food was of good quality, cooked well and brought to the table in good time.

Went to Romantica on Friday 2nd of February 2024. I've been past the place many times, but it didn't appeal to me due to the exterior. However, my parents highly recommended the place. I can say honestly that the inside is fantastic. Every member of staff were very polite. The food portions were of a very good size. Great value for money. The two pictures I have attached are: 1. veggie pizza, 2. Garlic pizza bread. Both were exceptional. I would definitely come back here again. Much better than places like Prezzo.

Had such a fantastic lunch here today. We came for my husbands birthday meal along with our 1 year old. As soon as we arrived staff were amazing and accommodating! The feeling and atmosphere is very cosy and authentic. The food was superb and flavourful, great portion sizes and well presented. I had lasagne, some sides and the profiteroles for dessert! 10/10 all around. We cannot wait to come back!! Thank you
