I turned up without a booking, the staff did everything they could to find me a table and I am glad they did, the food was outstanding.

Friendly atmosphere and lovely vintage surroundings. We always like to go here for a cheeky drink.

Superb family run feel to the bar, great selection of drinks, lots of themed nights. I stayed here too and the rooms are fantastic, brilliant location too for the Monkey Forest nearby. Would love to come back one day. Keep doing what your doing ❤️

Nice lil pub with good drinks and friendly atmosphere

Lovely room ☺️ The bed was so comfortable, tea, coffee and water provided, good size bathroom and very well thought out for a small room (I booked the single room). Staff are so lovely and felt very welcome, would definitely stay again good location easy drive from the A500 😁

The staff are very nice and even let us grab a cheeky drink when we came in late to go to our room. The bed was comfortable, the tub was HUGE and I wish I had more time to enjoy it. The small fan was a nice touch for the warm day we had.

Top pub great ale friendly staff

Another cracking pub at the top of the town, well worth a visit. Wish it was closer to home, could definitely make it my local.

A place with heart and soul: earnest, real and comfortable. A great bathroom. A great big flatscreen TV in the bedroom- most welcome Netflix to watch from a clean, comfortable bed.

A very friendly pub in Newcastle, and a worthy winner of Potteries CAMRA Pub of the Month for May 2024. I didn't stay, so rooms not rated!

A great pub. The Little Vic is warm and welcoming with a really nice crowd who are as friendly to those from out of the area as they are to locals. There are various music nights, karaoke, drum and strum, great diverse food nights, Sunday lunches and lots of other events. The managers and staff are really friendly and welcoming. Not stayed but the rooms look super comfy and clean - I wish I could find their standards and pricing on my work commute!

Great pub. With extra setting. Out side area is really good. Good friendly staff. Spotlessly clean. The beer is always really nice with good pricess and quick service. Saturday night is very good for music and friendly atmosphere. And no drugged up idiots either. Thank you to Julie and staff. 😘

Nice pub nice people decent real ales

We absolutely love The Vic! The landlords are beautiful humans, the entertainment caters for everyone and sells out pretty fast, their free drum and strum sessions on Sundays are amazing fun full of talent, the rooms here are spotless, sometimes they have kitchen take over days where some amazing food is served via outside companies, it's just a great, friendly, welcoming place!

Only popped in for a quick pint on the way back after a trip to the New Vic theatre. Very friendly staff and a magnificent pint of Vocation bread and pudding. Definitely recommend.

First time stay - but won’t be the last! Wonderful hosts, lovely room - charming squirrel Teddy on the bed , and a lovely bath!! I am a student osteopath working in the near by clinic for my degree and have to stay regularly. I had popped in for a drink when staying close by a few weeks ago, the staff were lovely and the place is clean and very nice. So I decided to give it ago! Thank goodness I did x blown away but the comfort and kindness here at the ‘Little Vic’. After a long shift at the clinic, a glass of wine, a nice bath, comfy bed - what more do I need?! Thank you for having me abc I bill be back in a few weeks! I have told all the osteopath student who travel into the area about you - please make sure you save a room for me x

Absolutely amazing pub and guest house, the hosts are amazing, the rooms are excellent value for money, highly recommended. This is how a pub should be run.

Called for a meal could not fault the gammon and proper fresh pineapple with it

We stayed here in september 13th for a night. Beautiful pub and the rooms very clean and comfy. Mattress was so comfy. Bathroom clean and had everything we needed even a shower mat. Coffee, tea making facilities were plentiful. Loved the teddy bear on the bed. The staff were lovely and had a great chat with them. The decor of the pub and roons were exceptional. Definatley recommend. Would definitely stay again. Mandy & Neil xx

We were staying a few doors down as we had an exhibition on at Trent Art Gallery. We popped in every day of our stay for a wind down. So friendly amd welcoming, we all felt really comfortable in this pub. Thank you

Only small public house but great atmosphere, good ale very popular. Different food menu from from different places around the world.

Great stay in great place, Julie 'the boss' greeted us, really friendly,explained all we needed to know. Fab room lovely decor, everything spotless clean, super cumfy bed. Had few drinks in the bar karaoke night, had a great time with very friendly locals 6 hand pulls on tap, all were spot on and at excellent prices. Wifi available, no food but bar snacks sold. Free parking at rear of hotel, great location near to other bars and a shortish walk into town or a taxi journey. Highly recomend the hotel will definetly go again.
