Excellent food and a good friendly atmosphere

Really nice pub with excellent draught beers. Friendly staff, good atmosphere and great decor, don't be put off by the external appearance which doesn't do it justice.

Been in for a drink a few times always a good selection. 4 of us booked for a meal Sat' night and it was lovely, all the party said how good it was. The place as a homely feel about it and the staff very good. Next time will have to go back try the Sunday lunches.

5 of us Walked in without booking. Within minutes a table was put together. Ordered food and all of us had different dishes. All spot on and service was brilliant. First visit and we will return. Much appreciated

Great bar! Friendly staff and regulars, reasonably priced and a good selection. I always end up with the song "Rock the Casbah" stuck in my head after visiting here purely due to the name of the bar. I haven't tried the food but it does look and smell good!

Had the BEST takeaway Sunday lunch today! Quality produce, perfectly cooked and seasoned, turkey was so lovely So nice to have vegetables that are not overcooked! Chicken liver pate was also amazing! Thank you so much!

Great lil place, always friendly and a good selection of beers, inc craft, dark through to light. Food offers through the week and the curry lunch smell today just made me hungry all over again. Neat lil place which delivers what it promises with a good location if you are on a real beer/cider crawl into town. Keep it up guys 👍🏼

First visited Cask Bar some time ago when it had only been open a few days ! What a difference success does to someone ! The landlord was really attentive !NOT the case now though ! Called in on Saturday & was greeted by two really pleasant young people ! I ordered a pint of cask ale , I mentioned to the young man that the beer was really cloudy he spoke to the landlord who couldn't even be bothered to have a look at it ! Just commented it's ok & then left the premises! Don't know what happened to customer service ! Anyway he won't miss my custom & I certainly won't miss ever visiting there again ! Fortunately there are plenty of similar bars to visit ! This is purely a recap of experience !

Great real ale place (& Gin if you like it). Plenty of seating for us oldies (!). Staff friendly.

Busy Saturday night. I like this place as they try really hard to make it different. Curry nights, pie nights and great choice of drinks including gin tray.

Can get very busy and noisy at certain times, but love this little bar, good atmosphere brilliant beers and I believe a very good selection of gins. They had a lovely Raspberry blonde beer on last night. Well worth a visit if you are in the area.

Great beer just off a main road. Getting busier as word gets about. Good value food looks nice (not yet tried)..pie night, curry night and takeaway in night.

This a great bar. A good selection of gins (with staff who know what works with what) and a nice selection of cask ales. Well laid out with sufficient tables etc Music is very much in the background & the hubbub of noise is from conversations between patrons. Highly recommended
