The best restaurants in West Midlands

Collected a takeaway tonight after hearing great reviews. It didn’t disappoint. Fresh tasty food, no grease, crispy poppadoms, tender chicken. Everything was spot on. Couldn’t ask for better. They also deliver to us in Lichfield. My only worry now is the extra weight I’ll gain!

I recently came with my friend and overall the food was really good. The sandwiches and the variety of options you can get are amazing. Especially the cakes! However I asked an employee I think her name was “summer” for a milkshake and she quote on quote said “who do you think you’re speaking to like that” even though my tone and works were polite and just my normal voice. I did get a bit aggressive back however I felt it was justified due to the horrible service I just got. At the end of the discussion she said she was going to put salt in my milkshake and told me to sit down in an aggressive manor. Overall though, the food is great and the other staff members seem nice

What a wonderful night for a 21st birthday! Sinead decorated the room beautifully for my daughter and the food provided by Chef Stack was simply divine! Don't hesitate if you have an event upcoming and are looking for a room, you can't go wrong with The Crown! Sinead and the rest of the team are wonderful! 10/10 from me!

Went in for Sunday lunch as a family with my baby and in-front of our table at the bar were 3 men vaping. I approached the staff and asked whether that was allowed as obviously I have a baby with me and she told me that it was allowed. We then stated that we were leaving, as I obviously do not want anyone vaping around my child, when the men at the bar then said that they would stop. For the rest of our visit we then received dirty looks from the rest of the staff. It wasn’t a very nice experience and I wouldn’t recommend this pub for families and young children if this is what they allow. The food was okay but the whole visit was spoilt by this.

A genuinely unique and special place. The owners make you feel very welcome, the food and drinks are reasonably priced and topnotch, and it's a great atmosphere. I highly recommend it.

On a Friday night the DJ's music is far too loud for the venue. Can't hear yourself talk.

Stop for a coffee few weeks ago . Great coffee with whipped cream float . We also ate a well prepared sandwich & croissant . Before we left we bought a box of the gorgeous chocolates , nicely boxed with a bow .Great for gifts . Been few times now . Highly recommend great staff very friendly !

We went as a group of 4. We had reserved the window seat as it was our friends birthday. There was a bit of a complication on arrival but we got there in the end. The choice of wines is good. I will say the fridge that’s closer to the bar is not as cold so you may need some ice. We had some food as well which was fantastic. We will be back!

This restaurant is now permanently closed since late 2022. There are plans in place for a new business to develop the building

Abrupt staff on check in , Very dated room decir very used ,broken plug socket in room ,shower head loose would not stay up and water temperature very hard to control and radiator on room didn,t work during the night making the room very cold , would not recomend a stay here ☹️☹️
