Indus Express in Dudley

Never been a huge fan of takeaway Indian food always preferring to visit the restaurant. However, we had an excellent meal delivered to us from Indus Express last night. Every dish was well prepared and very tasty. The service was super fast and everything arrived very fresh. I wouldn’t hesitate to order takeout from there again.

The food is amazing, the flavours fresh and varied - they offer specials Sunday to Thursday which are excellent value - however this time we visited on Friday which didn’t disappoint. We ordered various dishes to share lamb tikka, aloo gobi, chicken jalfrezi chapatti & rice - everything was perfectly cooked and exquisitely spiced 2 drinks each finished & then finished with coffees & brandies - wonderful

Great food (they didn't kill it by overspicing). Huge portions. Exceptional service. Was pleasantly surprised A hidden gem of the Black Country!

I’ve been here a couple of times now with friends and have to say, it seems to be the best Indian in Stourbridge. You have to try the Prawn Purée starter, it is truly fantastic. Staff attentive and seemed to be happy in what they do. Seriously you need to go here

With nice restaurant staff very helpful & ensure everything is to your requirements, I had lamb garlic chilli 10/10 best Iv ever had from anywhere, all my family said all there food was the best they have tasted too, well done and thank you Indus keep up the great work

Went for a meal at 8.30 on a Wednesday night, 4 people. A return visit for us. Had a lovely meal but as soon as we had finished our mains they brought out the bill for us to pay (9.45!!) without us asking for it and had not finished our drinks. Wont be going again!

One of our party is vegan, so choice of restaurants is usually fairly limited. Fortunately Indus Express was recommended by a friend and it certainly did not disappoint! Great menu choice, very diverse and a good vegan selection. Service was prompt and friendly and we enjoyed our experience. Good to have them in our village.

This was my second visit here. My first one was after a big day of drinking so thought it might be unfair to review. I thought it was decent then so went along to try again sober. Not disappointed at all. There’s something for everyone here. Huge vegetarian range. My food was excellent and tasty as was my wifes ( she couldn’t eat it all - but as she asked for it to take home - this answers it’s own question) The starters were fresh and tasty - my wife’s fish pakora was especially outstanding. Mains were good portions and again tasty . Worth a visit. Cobra on draft and the bill was fair! Good stuff!

Great menu and fabulous food. Visited 3 times so far and each time the quality of good is exceptional. Good choice for vegetarians and vegans.

Visited at the weekend. Food was tasty and the service really good. I have given it 4/5 purely because there was not any children's options on the menu and our 11 year old could only order the chips so was still hungry. Would recommend.

It was the first time I have visited this restaurant. I honestly have to say it’s the best Indian I’ve eaten for many many years. From the poppadoms and sauces at the beginning to the chicken tikka tawa that I had and my partner had it was superb. Love the fact that they are served in traditional bowls and absolutely loved the dishes that the rice comes in. It all makes a great difference. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Restaurant was warm and welcoming, lighting was a bit bright but that is always a problem for me. Can’t wait to go back.

Tonight was our 2nd visit. Food was delicious again, great menu range and very friendly efficient service.

We were a large family group celebrating my mother’s 94th birthday. From the minute we arrived the waiters were unfriendly, barking at us, we all commented after we left that we were made to feel that our presence was an imposition. No sooner had the waiter asked if we were ready to order, before actually taking our orders, he proceeded to try and take all our menus from us. It was as if he couldn’t get rid of us quickly enough. It was a great shame as the food was lovely, served all together, catering to the pescatarian, meat eaters, vegans and veggies in our group. They were also very accommodating of my mother, who has a small appetite and not many back teeth, letting her have a small portion of a mince meat and peas dish from the large plates menus. It was a great shame as the unpleasant attitude of the waiters took the shine off our evening. Complements must be passed on though, despite all this negativity, to the chef. I would like to go there again though and hopefully the waiters will not recognise me!

What a great find this restaurant offers quality fresh produce and great flavours. Yum is an appropriate expression after the first morsel. Starter onion bargi superb. Mains with great tasting lamb delicious and sides. Generous portions and we shall return

We’ve had two takeaways from Indus Express since they opened, everything we’ve tried so far has been delicious. Definitely recommend the Nagaka Chicken, very hot and extremely tasty. If you got free poppadoms I’d give it 6 stars, if I could.
