We went as a group of 4. We had reserved the window seat as it was our friends birthday. There was a bit of a complication on arrival but we got there in the end. The choice of wines is good. I will say the fridge that’s closer to the bar is not as cold so you may need some ice. We had some food as well which was fantastic. We will be back!

A wonderful afternoon of champagne tasting. Gary is super helpful and knowledgeable about the wines and champagnes. Absolutely wonderful, we will be back to discover the latest 32 wines on tap in the bar area! A lovely nibbles menu too to accompany it.

Went of a Friday. Great atmosphere and national champagne day made the drinks a little cheaper. Really like this and their premises in Birmingham

Lovely evening cheese & wine tasting in the private back room which was lovely Staff were very attentive and catered to the guest who required alcohol free options, matching them to the wine we were tasting so not just a bog standard soft drink

Great fun tasting many red wines. We also had a sharing board which was delicious. A gem in Knowle where some of the bars or restaurants are a little bit boring sometimes. Made a real difference with all the wines to taste for a fun night out.

This is a great discovery. A wine shop that allows you to taste wine, at a price, served with meats and nibbles. Very up-market but a nice place to spend an alcoholic afternoon! My latest visit was just to purchase alcohol.

Six of us went for the wine and cheese tasting on Saturday 12 til 2 we had an amazing time , we arrived early and were warmly welcomed , we had a lovely table and ordered some charcuterie platters too, the tasting session was so informative and very well done would highly recommend a visit ….

Spent a very enjoyable chilled afternoon sitting amongst walls of interesting bottles. These were predominantly wines of the world, with an interesting mixture of spirits. Around 24 different bottles of wine are on self service "tap" as long as a pre paid card is used. Cheese board & charcuterie with olives and humous were ordered to soak up the wine. For me a first in self service wine - I enjoyed and will be back.

I'm most definitely not a wine connoisseur but I loved this place, very cosy, super friendly and helpful staff. Such a great experience to enjoy a few glasses in a chilled and relaxed vibe....will absolutely be back, highly recommend.

Attended wine tasting event . Knowlegable presentation and food selection of wine. Only negative comment no nibbles provided during tasting. This would then give a 5star experience as the wine tasting is at 12.00 and therefore sits before and during lunch.

Went here with friends after dinner on a Saturday evening. Such a welcoming team of people that all know their wine. Very easy going place and with the wines available to try, a different experience. Their branch in Birmingham is great too, though I think Knowle was a warmer staff. Will be back for a tasting evening!

Had Plus Financial Christmas party and had a brilliant time. The cheese boards are just amazing. Service was amazing, love it there.

Good concept, not quite as well executed at the Birmingham center one.

To sum it up, we love Loki. It is such a versatile space, we have been there for date nights, catch ups with friends, quick drink after a stroll with the dog, and even an indulgent lunch time charcuterie board. Evey time the service, food and general experience has been fantastic. The interior space is beautifully styled with stripped back bare brick walls and metal racking for the wines. There is plenty of space between tables so you don't feel on top of other people, and the wine machines can provide a lovely interaction with strangers as you try to pick your wine from the diverse range they have selected for you to try. All in all it is a fantastic social space to spend your time. Most recently, we held my partners 30th here. The venue was perfectly suited for the occasion and the bar was easily adapted to create various spaces for all people at the party, a dedicated area set up for food, tall tables for social interaction and a quieter seating area at the back for those wanting to have a good catch up. The wine dispenser machines were a great feature for the event where people automatically interact, making a fun ice breaker for those that hadn't met before. All the staff were smiley, welcoming and attentive all night, constantly refreshing bottles in the wine dispenser machines, and always being on hand at the bar for a glass of bubbly or a pint of beer. A Special thanks to Dina for helping us organise and set up the event, you were fantastic throughout.

Our friends anniversary weekend.We booked a table for drinks. Loki wines have wine vending machines where you can buy a card and choose to taste several wines until you use your credit up! Fun and a bit quirky, with some lovely wines available to taste! A lovely cheese and cooked meat board added into our visit. There was a friendly vibe in this bar with draught beers available and an endless amount of wines and spirits to look at and buy. The interior is also stylish and quirky and there’s constantly something to look at from the many many products for sale to the beautiful designer chairs and the unusual wallpaper in the toilets!!! Beyond the shop front is a separate room for private wine tastings and small events! An air of mystery with the dark decor and the sumptuous velvet curtains! We very much enjoyed our visit, there’s something here for everyone! Dog friendly, you can pop in for one drink, a bottle or make an evening of it. You can know nothing about wines and be directed or be a connoisseur and just sit and enjoy!!! A great venue with a great vibe!!! Thanks guys!!!

Have driven past many times and always Asante dot try this place, we finally had time on Saturday without booking and it was great. Very warm and welcoming staff, who were very knowledgable about the wines and way the system worked. Between us we tried several wines and then decided upon on favourites, would definitely return in the future and try the cheese and meat platter.

Such a great atmosphere with delicious food & a novel way to try lots of lovely wines! I tried 6 each of red and white 25ml ‘shots’, then had a full glass each of my favourites! The staff were friendly and knowledgeable too. Highly recommended for a slightly different drinking experience.

Uber friendly place for wine lovers. Great wines and priced cheaper than wines in certain pubs! Love their cheese boards too.

What's not to like? it's a wine merchant with a brilliant selection of wine where you can crack open a bottle as well. Or order a coffee. Snacks but no proper food....... opportunity for a tapas menu?

Great fun! Had much entertainment trying the wines as a group (got 2 cards for the 4 of us), the meat and cheese board was delicious and the staff very friendly. Of course it all got out of hand when we started trying the excellent whiskeys… Book ahead as very popular at weekends. PS not the place for you if you’re on a budget!

4 of us came here for a Saturday afternoon for a pre drinks before a meal, we was able to bring our little dog in also, we all enjoyed been able to try wines we had not tried before, the staff are very helpful. There are 3 different size wines to taste, we all enjoyed the couple of hours there and will return.

Ridiculously overpriced if you want anything other than wine, slightly messy inside with boxes of wine stacked up next to the tables.

Visited on 21st November - was nice, however bit of a shock to be billed £20 each for a glass of Madeira which in hindsight was very expensive and a very pushy sale.

Great place for dinner and drinks

Loki is a great place if you are just discovering wines, they have a fantastic selection from all over the world, you can have a taster from £1 or try a larger glass, the team are so helpful & the vibe is relaxed & enjoyable. You can also have a platter of cheeses,meats & accompaniments. I'll definitely be going back.

We booked a long way in advance for our wine tasting experience at Loki (the booking was for 2 couples) and so we were disappointed to be placed at a table in a dark corner at the furthest position at the back of the shop. The location of the table made it difficult to be sociable with our friends and try the different wines that were open in the dispensing machines at the front of the shop. The wines on taste were OK and despite spending £25 per head on the card for the automatic dispensing we didn't find one that we thought was a "must have". The temperature was not always as it should be especially when the bottle in the dispenser had just been replaced. The price per "taste" was very high. The bottle price was also expensive compared to that charged for similar quality wines from other retail suppliers and the charge of an extra £7 a bottle corkage to drink a bottle in the back of their own shop was certainly not appreciated. We didn't order any food as we were booked in for a full meal elsewhere afterwards and so cant comment on this . We drink a lot of wine and have enjoyed excellent wine tasting experiences in the past but we wont rush back to Loki and on reflection prefer to be poured quality wine from a human that is keen to share information about the wine and knows how to sell the experience to us rather than self service from a machine

Our first experience of Loki in Knowle was so good we’ve booked again the following week with friends from Brighton. Radu and Hannah (apologies if we got names wrong) were so friendly and made our whole experience a superb one. We’re very happy this is our new ‘local’!! Thank you so much :)

We had a lovely evening at Loki. As a group of four we were welcomed into the bar. We decided to turn the evening into a bit of a wine tasting evening, sampling four wines and finishing with a bottle of the most enjoyable. the Cheese board we ordered was truly fantastic, one of the nicest boards I've had in a long time. the wine was great as well. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable. I can recommend the bottle below
