I love this cafe. Staff are always friendly & assertive, good quality produce & freshly cooked, beautiful sausage and very welcoming
They go above and beyond with helping when there’s an allergy
A lovely family run tapas restaurant. Gets quite busy but not too noisy. Well laid out and super helpful staff. Food is delicious, if a little pricey. Children were made to feel welcome and tried a variety of dishes they wouldn't have normally.
We dropped in here after we had been to the Walsall Arena, very good service from the staff and lovely food, definitely recommend this place and will visit again when we are in the area.
We had the Salmon with noodles and medium Fillet with peppercorn sauce - both were outstanding!
The head chef/manager very kindly changed the sauce on the salmon due to an intolerance, which was very kind.
The salmon was the best meal I've had this year - perfectly cooked fish, the overall dish was packed full of flavour, lovely veg, great noodles.
Really nice atmosphere for a Thursday night, full tables at 7.30pm with mood lighting- the kitchen is open to partially see upstairs, however not noisy!
We will come again when we're next in the Peak District!
Had an amazing meal tonight with our friends. First time visiting (after a couple of years of trying to arrange between us!) Food was amazing, MASSIVE portions of home cooked, fresh food. The owner was by herself tonight but checked in with us despite being busy. Would definitely recommend & be back!
Update to original review: we are so sad that this amazing venue appears to have closed? It was a place that deserved to thrive and enjoy great success. We were really looking forward to returning when next in the area 😔

Complete hidden gem, only a short drive from Harbury Fields caravan park. We enjoyed the relaxing ambiance, the well-chosen music and the Cold River cider .. so much that we came back twice while still in the area. Thank you Hillbilly’s .. we have thoroughly enjoyed our delicious food, we will return and we will be recommending to others.
A lovely gem of a small hotel 3 miles from Oswestry, set in beautiful countryside.
Friendly and attentive service, alongside a varied and interesting daily menu with all dishes impeccably presented and prepared to a very high standard.
Our rooms were modern and contemporary in style, tastefully decorated with a super shower and jacuzzi bath.
Highly recommend especially for walkers with endless opportunities for walking along with lots of places of interest if you want a more sedate time.
Highly recommended and we look forward to a repeat visit later in the year.
Came to go to the bookstore which was stated as open. Spoke to the rudest woman when I calling to ask if they were open as we had arrived. Was told they aren't open - my partner had gone into the pub to enquire while I called and say the shitty face she was pulling while on the phone. Great customer service - not. Kindly advised her it might be a good shout to update their open hours on Google and was told they're open on Thursday... 4 days away and that it wasn't exactly long to wait. Thanks. We'd not driven over an hour to come and look in the store.. Absolute disgrace.
