Lovely cafe beautiful girl took our money. Very friendly Cornish Pasties were lush we bought them home to wales. 100 per cent recommended

My favourite coffee/pastry shop in PVD. Everything is perfect and the staff are the best.

Loved our stay at the Inn. The staff were lovely & welcoming with lots of local information about where to go & what to see. The food was great. The room we stayed in was beautifully appointed and very comfortable. Breakfast next morning was also excellent. Location of the Inn is perfect for walkers, bikers & travellers in general. Highly recommend a stop here.

Great Pub with the best landlord in Devon.

I drive 15 minutes outside Tavistock! To come to order my dinner ! I buy my dinner the bills come to £27 so l give to cashier £40 by the time he serving me he was in phone & same time was taking money from me & touching screen 🖥️ to open till all happened in fast & l got £3.50 back l don’t recognise that l put £3.50 in my pocket in same time lady picked her food & other 2 girls coming to order & other lady picked her food so all happened in same time !! I got my food & l go to car & drive half way to my house & my Brian told me l got only £3.50 from the guy ! And l give him £40 !! When l call back shop the told me No we give you your money & l lied about everything ! So disappointed!!! I am sure in end of service you can do your till & you will see you got extra Free £10 from your customer!!! But problem you don’t pay tax in your shop is all cash !! Typical Chinese Thank you for spending my time driving to Tavistock & back home so disappointed! Never again buy from you even you are my favourite! Disappointed!!!

Proper old inn, with fire and choice of real ale. Lovely pub grub😋. Friendly staff and a car park big enough to fit a small camper in on way past. Fantastic. 😃

Lovely trip for breakfast to Strawberry Fields Farm Shop at Lifton. Busy but on crowded. Quickly shown to our table. Staff were friendly and polite. Breakfast was lovely. One vegetarian one traditional. Decent pot of tea.

Food looked very good. I only had a drink. Great atmosphere. A lively pub with parking at the back.

Lovely simple, but delicious and generous pub lunch. Really nice, friendly team who make you feel welcome and seem to care that you are enjoying the food. Would love to come back for dinner and Sunday roast.

Good service but no licence. The food was ok. This is a nothing review - nothing brilliant but nothing horrific. Don’t understand any restaurant not selling alcohol. A deal breaker. Will not return. The curry house up the road is better.

I’m genuinely amazed this pub gets less than five star reviews. Visited yesterday with friends and had the most amazing lunch. The only issue we had was choosing as we all wanted literally everything on the menu!! For people morning the food is slow to come out - it really isn’t - it is just freshly cooked which isn’t going to happen in 5 minutes! Yes it’s not the cheapest but you absolutely get what you pay for. I’m also amazed people moan about the portion sizes. All of us had different dishes and each one was generous. Add to the mix roaring fires and utterly lovely staff - what more could you ask for!! We’ve had many a meal in the sister pub, the Cornish Arms and loved it and this one is just as good - if anything, the menu is even better!! Had a totally fabulous experience and will be back very soon. Thank you all.

Freezing day but warm welcome, real fire to sit by, great choice of ciders on tap, bar staff were friendly, definitely returning for a meal on next visit to Okehampton.

I have always wanted to stay here, so went recently for a few days. The bedroom was small but adequate, everything you needed. A lovely comfortable bed, ample storage, tea and coffee tray, a fan (which l used as found it quite warm) plus a heater. The bathroom spacious and a nice size shower, only thing missing was a shower cap. Pleased to see a slip mat included. I had been quoted a figure for dinner, but on arrival no one seem to equate with it, so l consulted the reception next day to see what l was actually paying and Meg the receptionist checked out my account and put me on a leisure break price, which was excellent. I really enjoyed all my food l am a big 'foodie'. BF was equally as good in the morning, surprised to see kedgeree on the menu. Staff all very friendly and helpful. A lovely stay'
