The best restaurants in West Devon South West

It was shut (during normal opening hours) both times we went there It looked run down and tatty from the outside

Called at lunch for a takeaway. I had cod and regular chips. The lad said be ready in 5 minutes so had a walk about, then back to collect. Ate in the park. Now here's why I marked down to 3. The fish was a nice piece of cod, chips okay. But please.....you must drain the oil off before wrapping up. Got to the park and oil was oozing out all over the place, and as they had not drained it in the hot counter long enough, the batter had turned slimy and stuck to the greaseproof paper. Spoilt what would otherwise have been a decent scoff. Wife said her burger and chips was good.

Staff were friendly and efficient. Plenty of choice. Recommend the fish and chips. Free refills on hot drinks. Excellent value for money. Only issue was that the disabled toilet was out of order and the 'ladies' was dirty and had no paper.

The chap serving seemed friendly enough - but mushrooms still frozen in the middle & kebab barely warm. Disappointed

Good value and friendly service

Our daughter and son in law took us there as part of our Christmas present. I can honestly say it was one of the finest, if not the finest meal I have had. This was also the opinion of the other three. It was in a very relaxed atmosphere and we shall certainly revisit. We all chose the taster menu and We would highly recommend it.

Shocking service found the staff had no customer service skill.

I loved sitting in the cosy tearoom and looking at the artefacts.The owners were friendly and very nice I would recommend going there.I am sure to come back soon.😃

Visited the Okehampton branch early morning on our way too Cornwall 17th July 2022 was served by a short male manager with a beard very rude and nonchalant and impatient his young staff had too apologise for his rudeness and arrogance he couldn't be bothered to answer any questions and also sighed while we made our mind up..thank god thats not my local branch and we were only passing...his young staff were brilliant and helpful and showed him up for the idiot that he his...the funny thing is there's a recruitment cut out in their saying come join our friendly staff...laughable irony.
