Burger King in West Devon

Only got chips from here for my grandson and myself there were very nice .

Only ran in to use the toilets so can't comment really

Very run down ,toilets just adequate, very little room inside, we ate in the carpark !

I used greggs, not burger King, although both looked great.

The whole place needs a good deep clean.

Theres a Burger king and a Greggs here but what a disaster of a place. Arrived mid afternoon so it was quiet but looked like nobody could be bothered. The floor was dirty the tables weren't wiped and the toilets.. absolutely disgusting. Glad I'm a man and can stand up.. I was meeting my parents there as a convenient midway meet but had to leave.

Food is as you would expect, seating areas were dirty and untidy. There are reasonable toilet facilities.

Ordering machines don’t work, got told to go to the till and the worker behind the till couldn’t of been less help if she’d tried, we don’t have a card reader here so you have to use the machine. Really help when your machine keeps telling us to go to the counter!!!

What a drab, dingy and quite dirty place. No atmosphere or decoration. I had a basic, dry buger in a bun.... the fries were ok though. Tourists from USA were there when we went....what must they have thought, they weren't very impressed that was for sure, it was an embarrassment!

Dirt everywhere. Felt really yuk eating in there. Barely wanted to sit in the seats. Staff standing around on their phones....pick up a brush and pan and sweep the floor at a minimum, it's covered in food. Will never stop here again.

This Burger King is located just off the A30 and if you are unfortunate enough to have to go out of Cornwall for any reason its quite a handy place to stop both for food and there is also fuel on the same site. The staff here are always friendly and helpful and the restaurant itself looks reasonably clean (although on a previous visit whilst there was apparently some staff training going on one of the staff was serving whilst chewing gum which put me off visiting for some time afterwards). Unfortunately the building itself has a slightly rundown feeling and although the toilet area was re-done a few years ago it all still feels just a bit "grotty" that being said I have stopped here many times in the past and have never had any issues. Unfortunately burger king appear to have been tinkering with their app again so the meals are not as good value as they were so next trip I will probably continue to mcdonalds instead

Losing its gloss, could do with being brightened up a lot, dingy inside, but food good and service was competent.

Actually we stopped at the greggs very remote and not very well sign posted but in fairness the breakfast baguette we had was lovely nice and hot well cooked and the coffee was nice and strong and hot

Went to the counter to get served by guy with arms crossed doing nothing, told I have to order on self service screens. I'll get my food elsewhere thanks 👍

Cashier refused to serve me at the counter and asked me to wait and use the self service kiosks, which were all busy! Terrible service, moved onto the next services!

Food ok, not the best place to stop, needs a tidy up

Food was average not particularly well put together, and buns dry I had to ask where the drinks were, the female assistant just pointed to the other end of the counter I had to ask for a cup carrier, she wasn't particularly helpful or communicative The place was dirty, rubbish on the tables and napkins in the floor It wasn't busy to say they didn't have time Toilets were ok, just smelt of urine (female/disabled) Just reaffirms my dislike of motorway establishments, over priced and portions seem to be getting smaller The only really good thing was there was plenty of parking at the back. And I was able to let my dog out to stretch his paws on the grass (travel lodge behind burger king)

Food was incomplete, and had to go back to counter to collect to initially be ignored. When asked as well about the so called bacon Caesar burger, the amount of bacon in it was laughably jammed in to the centre of the bap and non-existent in presence and taste. When confronted the lad barely broke away from his daily grind to answer my complaint, to be unbelievably patronising. I appreciate EG are probably the problem, but the attitude of the place and cleanliness of the seating areas was appalling.

Useful pit-stop location and the burger was good. Its in a small service station, shared with Greggs which needed better cleaning

When you need a burger thank goodness they have a Burger king virtually in the middle of nowhere around the corner. Nice one lads.

Cheap and cheerful but you should eat healthy food in a Restaurant

It's fast food at roadside services. Just what you'd expect and nothing more.

Although now refurbished the external building and grounds is of a very poor standard; there's rubbish strewn everywhere in the carpark and bushes, the finish on the exterior building is poor, they've just painted the rear of once used to be the little chef in horrible black paint including a window!, doesn't look inviting. There's builders rubble left everywhere like nobody's bothered to sweep up, pot holes everywhere, not great first impressions. Inside looks spanking new and fresh, but again standards, tables are not wiped down properly after each customer , there's empty food wrappers everywhere. You have to clean your own table. Greggs were sold out of nearly everything at 2pm and Subway has a 15 minute wait in the queue. Didn't try Burger King, but they are overpriced anyway.

I've been here a few times, the food is always good. The wait time can be up to 20mins so if you're in a rush probably not good. Staff are clearly busy so it's easier to order on the touch screens. Overall I'd reccomend 👍

Great food if you're just having a burger meal. At the very least, Burger King meals have flavour throughout the whole meal.

Car park could do with some tlc pot holes everywhere uneven, was 4 toilets but only one in use 2 out of order one reversed for staff

The food was nice the staff were polite and helpful, what I can't believe is that after spending almost £50 here on food you are charging 30p for a small pot of mayo 😳 not great BK

The self service ordering was unclear when trying to order a burger with only certain things on it. Tried to do the order at the till but it was cash only. It seemed quite pricey, over £30 for 3 burgers, 3 chips and 2 drinks. Inside was dingy so we ate in the car.

Quick and friendly service and unlike McDonald's it actually looked something like the picture🤣🤣 had the new Angus peppercorn burger definitely recommend was really tasty 😋

Only fast food establishment within 30mins of Belstone. McDonald's Marsh Barton. Exeter. No delivery service, no pre-order and collect. Having said that, the food was cooked well and we enjoyed it. Whopper with cheese. chips and onion rings.

Only stopped here to use facilities , which were quite grim.

Pretty grim place but my kids love burger king

Ordering screen dirty. Check closed receipts over floor. Staff using the bin opening it with there hands instead of the foot lever. No gloves hair nets etc observed. Service slow but all food cooked when customers order. Food always seems to be warm or cold. Staff don't care and can be rude at times Better house keeping and food hygiene practices required

Friendly staff, and standard burger king food. Not a bad place to stop if you are travelling on the A30 but you can't call it scenic. There is a Shell filling station with a small shop just up the road. On the other side of the road is a large car park with toilets. No crossing point though if you are walking.

1st visit,really nice place. Food preparation was fast as you would expect.

Service was slow, food was luke warm. Store itself was cold. Toilets were not clean and left with no toilet roll.

You can only order at the machine. The touch screen is awful, miserably staff. Not what you expect.

Ordered four double whoppers with cheese and was charged the correct price for them. Got home and they were only single whoppers. Ripped off. I know two other people who have had the same thing done here. I suppose they then sell the other four single whoppers and pocket the cash themselves. Hence their reluctance to give a receipt. You always have to ask them for it. That was my last visit to this place. I'm not subsidising their wages again.

Locked door at 8.56pm, it's open until 9pm, they should serve up until 9pm, we drove half hour to get there just in time but they closed early.

Absolute cesspit, you should be ashamed of it, beating hoover filter out on railings by door as you walk in, urine all over floors in toilets, food all over seating, some old retired boy cleaner, looks like he couldn't care less leaning all over counter passing time of day with burger server, dread to think what its like where you can't see

The place needs to be knocked down dive

Staff kind and helpful, I visited with a disabled person and the staff at the till went out of their way to deliver our order to our table. Food excellent , service fantastic Clean environment Will visit again

Burger King is fine. Just the building itself is run down. Awful car park potholes. Do not understand why it is not remodelled and enhanced as is a very busy services that would have good thoroughfare.

It is dirty and needs a good clean . Also went and sat down for a while whilst waiting for food .As we got our food we were told we had to leave as it wasn't insured to sit at the table and chairs when it 6 pm . Shocking

Visited the shell garage this evening,only to get snacks on the way home was served by a delightful young lady who commented on my dress , just wanted to say thank you as you made my day if not week . Till next time

Forced to order at a machine At till order entered manually by staff member — what a wssyr of time !! Order put in incorrectly as ‘plain’ - not what I ordered at the machine. I did not realise until down the road. Ever had a dry plain chicken royale — the countty animals would probably like it !! Site for s dirty , cold and ‘empty’ - no atmosphere or any friendliness

Had to use the self ordering interface as the server could not be bothered. Food was good but the public toilets were disgusting. Not great for my wife or mother-in-law

Due to be closer to closing they would only allow certain items on the menu which was a bit off putting but the food we did have was good

Disgusting!! The place was filthy - food and rubbish all over the floor, surfaces not wiped and again rubbish on them. I think it’s time Burger King and Greggs got their act together….did we learn nothing from Covid and keeping places clean. They could learn something from the clean and tidy Waitrose/Shell service station next door which was immaculate!

Service was slow but the small shop was busy so not a problem.the order was perfect and the food was excellent,my son was very entertained by the staff enjoying their work with music and dancing.overall excellent

Food was nice. Just a shame the seating area wasn't very tidy and a bit messy.

Freshly prepared burgers and nice stop and rest location

Kids lined up & talking with their friends who worked there, all swearing in front of the families, who were queuing for their food. Burger arrived with no cheese. Onion rings were microwaved so were cold and limp. Floors & tables were all dirty with rubbish left everywhere. Not very good at all.

Food was alright, but table and floor quite greasy and messy.

We stopped here for lunch, i unfortunately couldn't work the machine so the staff were only too pleased to take my order the old fashioned way! The young team were very polite and really did their best to ensure we had our meal served promptly with a smile!

A tipical greggs fast food and a standard Subways a good place to stop when on the A30 nice and clean well kept. good value tasty foods

Didn't eat at burger king. We nibble at Gregg's which is in the same building. Plenty of yummy items to eat! Shame disable parking spaces are not very visible and most park across them. Maybe because they are not very visible

The food was good but no cold drinks available?? Not even a bottle of water.

Awful, the 1st view you get is the staff out the back smoking and spitting. Never saw any of them wash their hands!Next, that bloody rediculous touch screen ordering system which won't allow you to order what you want? Approached the counter and the thing informed me he wasn't allowed to take orders over the counter or apparently assist customers in using the wretched ordering system. Disintrrested and could hardly string 2 words together. The answer? Go to the lower car park, use the burger van there, he speaks English, helpful and charming. Great value proper chips, proper tea and the burger was lovely, real cheese too. Burger King lost about 30 quid in that order, don't bother with them. Sadly Subway has closed here too.

Touch screen order points filthy, inside and outside run down, absolutely no effort made at all, tables filthy, staff unkempt and looked like they hated working there, food revolting and hugely over priced. Someone high up from Burger King needs to come and look at this place and see if they are happy with the way it represents the brand. Avoid at all costs

Stopped here for a bite to eat during a round trip from Bude to Exeter...and wished we hadn't bothered. Don't get me wrong: given a choice between BK and McDonald's, I'd opt for BK every time. On this visit though, I was massively disappointed with their food. The prices here are extortionate but, with it being a service station, you kind of expect to pay over the odds. But you also expect the usual Burger King standards. We ordered two burgers and a chicken Royale with fries and drinks. The bacon cheeseburger was tiny...and I paid £7 for it! My wife ordered what I think was called a "Melt...something or other" which was less than half the price of mine and was the same size! The chicken Royale was awful: I dont recall BK's mayonnaise ever tasting so cheap and nasty. As for the fries! I can't believe that BK thinks that a tiny paper bag which can accommodate about a dozen fries is acceptable! Have Burger King changed the size of their portions/burgers? Because I don't recall their burgers and fries being so small. If I hadn't paid so much, I'd probably wouldn't have minded so much. Finally there were our drinks: two milkshakes and a bottle of water. They charge you £2 for a of bottle water - yes, service station prices. The milkshakes were lousy. I'm comparing them to McDonald's - who make a decent milkshake, so perhaps I'm being a bit harsh. BK's milkshakes here were really weird. They seemed to be full of air - a really weird consistency and probably a result of trying to save money. I've mentioned the fact that this is a service station and this, in itself, has inflated the prices, but...and it is a big but...the service station is one of the ugliest, dirtiest places you could ever have the misfortune of stopping at. It looks tatty and miserable from the outside (who ever thought that painting it black was a GOOD idea?), and the inside is unwelcoming, grubby and tired. Burger King (Greggs and Subway) should be offering customers a discount to allow for the state of this place. It's terrible! Give this place a miss, unless you really have no other options. If you can, plan your journey and find a local pub or cafe that's a little further off the A30. Yes, it'll probably mean an extra 5 or 10 minutes on top of your journey but it'll hopefully be worth it.

This Burger King is very efficient and food was served hot and great portion of fries! Very helpful staff and area very clean. Good selection on the menu including vegan (if you don’t like their lovely flame grilled burgers! 😊)

Absolutely love this store! So convenient! The food is always delicious, the place always looks clean and the customer service is always 10/10! Highly recommended! A Special thanks to the young lads Chris and Sean for always being willing to help and with a smile, both a credit to the company!

Called into Sourton services on way back from Cornwall. Very limited toilets. Very limite choice in Gregg's because closing was imminent. No bread left in Subway either, but we were offered Nacho's instead. Left with a Burger King as only option left. Tasted good, but did give me the trots the next day. All staff were good though so well done to them for holding ship together.

The worst Burger King in the country. We stopped to use the toilets in the services which were ok. Kids wanted a drink and some fries. Sign on door saying cash only at the till but if paying by card, use the kiosk. Unfortunately, the kiosks stopped working at 9pm. So utterly pointless. To not take card payments in covid times is a joke.

Very short staffed at 7pm on Saturday evening, the food was well below par for this outlet as normally very nice we visit once a week as live locally. The 2 crispy chicken was over cooked and dry not nice could not eat.

Staff were rude, they didn’t get the order correct and the food was cold. I won’t be going there again.

I was horrified to find that nothing was recycled apparently you cannot trust the public to recycle !!!!! The lady serving was a dream and a pleasure I have never been in a subway before she was really helpful. but will not go again on principle I took my drink carton home to recycle. This is what corporate institutions think of the general paying customer xxx

Came here on our travels for takeaway coffee, this took forever, the service was polite but very slow 🙁

Called in for a coffee. What a cold miserable unwelcoming place this is, from its grim exterior and cold interior to its filthy toilets that look like they haven’t been cleaned in days, needless to say I won’t be back.

This place is the absolute rear end of hell. I’ve never been so disgusted by so much filth. If you can’t keep a place clean employ more staff so you can! I bet even rodents would avoid this place. Do yourself a favour and get a sandwich in the petrol station and drive on.
