This Farm shop is much more than a farm shop, we were wowed by everything. Great food, excellent customer service and able to stay overnight in the car park. Will definitely be back. Five stars from us ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Much better than expected. Really well organised event with lots to see and do. Not over crowded and staff were all very friendly. There was a bit of a wait for food, but the buzzer system meant you weren’t standing around waiting. The live band was excellent. There was no queue at all at the bar. We have never seen so many pumpkins! They were stunning! Great lighting effects and really well-designed pumpkin features. It was rather expensive (almost £30 for me and my two children) considering we had to pay for things on top. Lights in the tunnels would have made it easier to see our food and drinks. But other than that, it was an excellent event and we may well be back.

We recently stopped here for a break whilst travelling on the A30 to Cornwall. It is conveniently situated near to the exit from the dual carriageway and is an ideal place to stop for drinks or a meal. The food was very good, especially my vegetarian breakfast. The young staff in the restaurant, were friendly and the service was good. The farm shop is very impressive. We did not buy anything this time but enjoyed looking around. We will certainly return when next visiting the area.

Standards have definitely slipped. Coffee shop was chaos uncleared tables food all over the floor wasps everywhere. Mediocre Latte £4.05. Ladies Toilets only two taps working sinks blocked. Restaurant hot no air-con or ceiling fans. Having to pay extra for a Yorkshire pudding with the roast. Canteen feel very noisy. All in all a very unrelaxing Sunday experience. Don't think I will ever return which is a shame because it used to be such a lovely place

We had been recommended to call here for breakfast and we were so glad we did. We just had the sandwiches, bacon, sausage and mushrooms. Not cheap but excellent quality so happy to pay the price for a breakfast we thoroughly enjoyed. Table service and lots of staff ready to help. The farm shop looked lovely with so much variety and local produce. I’d have loved to have done some shopping but couldn’t have kept it chilled! I did buy one or two gifts though!

Popped in for a much anticipated sandwich with salad garnish, coleslaw & side order of chips - sandwich tasteless; salad garnish consisted of a miserly 1 lettuce leaf & 1/2 a cherry tomato which was somewhat overcompensated for by a couple of tablespoons of catering coleslaw; chips dark brown & overcooked. Don’t think I’ll rush back 🤢 🤦♀️

Impromptu visit on recommendations from friends. Never realised how big the farm shop was, all the products looked fresh and beautifully laid out on the counters. Bought some continental meat and bread for later today. Decided to stop in the restaurant for something to eat. Husband had the Hearty Farmers Breakfast and I plumped for the Harvester’s Breakfast, which is roughly half of the former. Absolutely delicious and filling, would set anyone up for the day xx The restaurant staff were friendly, polite and welcoming xx Will definitely go back xx

Prompt, friendly and professional staff. This is my favourite farm shop, so glad they now have a satellite premises at Buckfastleigh which is much much smaller you can still enjoy some tasty treats.

My son, granddaughter and I went to Pumpkin Fest here. I’m in my 60’s and I’ve never picked a pumpkin straight from a field. We had to book tickets online, and were given a time slot. The day we went was torrential rain, and when we arrived it was a pure mud bath. There was child entertainment in a big top with Mark the magician. Thankfully when he had finished a wonderful show, the sun came out. On the grounds were many displays, some with copious pumpkins, must have taken hours to put together. Food and drink stands, and a lovely lady doing face painting. To wander the fields with a wheelbarrow, and eight pumpkins later of all shapes, colours and sizes, a hot coffee was much needed. The cafe there serves excellent hot drinks and cakes, and of course pumpkin iced cookies. It also has a restaurant area too, to which on a return visit we plan to visit. Having had this amazing experience in such a wonderfully organized farm, buying a:shop pumpkin will now be a thing of the past. Well done to all the staff who clearly made a fantastic job of Pumpkin Fest. HIGHLY RECOMMEND this farm for a visit all year round, and to purchase from their farm shop of top quality produce.

Lovely well cooked brunch, good size portions, helpful engaged staff with smiles all round. Nice hot cuppa T with extra hot water was a nice touch. Very reasonably priced day out, the maze was good fun and we all enjoyed the magic show. Shame it was torrential rain but we had fun in all the mud with our wellies on! It is a shame the tractor ride wasn’t included in the price as it would have been nice to have a look around however we didn’t want to pay the extra £3 a head when we have our own… The shop has some lovely produce which we certainly made the most of.

Disappointing visit. Paid £14 for tickets to the pumpkin fest for the family. Then £20 for 4 coffees and some mini donuts, which weren't great. Went to go into the pirate maize and was stopped by a snotty member of staff who asked if we had booked it as it was an additional cost of £4 per person, I asked if we could pay for entry now, but she wasn’t able to charge us for then and there as it had to have been booked online, fair enough but no need to be spoken to like we were stupid! Face painting was £5 each, train ride £4 each. Pumpkins priced from small to large, the largest costing £15 each!!! I’ve seen the same sized pumpkins in super markets for £4 each! All in all an expensive day out for what is effectively just a muddy field full of pumpkins! Good for pics for social media if you like that sort of thing. Oh and they had some goats and very hairy cows.

My Mum and I went out for a treat and will not return. The first thing we noticed was how dirty the entrance mats were, they didn't look like they had ever been cleaned. The breakfast was of poor quality. After ordering it only took a couple of minutes for the breakfast to come out. That rang alarm bells as it was obvious it was not freshly cooked. The bacon was cold, the sausages was overcooked and tasteless, the potatoes were definitely the days before. The only thing that was hot was the baked beans. The toast came out with hard butter and no separate knife, this was provided by the server removing a knife from an empty table. As for cleanliness there was dirt across the floor and one table the footrest was dirty footprints. As we were leaving someone was pushing some cakes under an counter on the floor on a tray barely covered.

Our family of five adults and two children booked the afternoon picnic for 3.30 on what was a busy Saturday afternoon there. As it turned out it was far too busy there - uncomfortably so. The place was heaving and the staff, although working hard, were clearly overwhelmed. One should not have to wait nearly an hour after the booked time for the food to arrive. No apologies for the lateness of the picnic. One of our party had to leave because he had to be elsewhere. Having said that the standard of the picnic was very good. A pity it was all spoilt by the delay and the place was too busy by far. In future the management should clearly limit the numbers to an amount it can cope with.

Visited yesterday, had the bacon and cheese burger special with wedges. Very very underwhelming! Burger patty was small in size but way too thick, over seasoned and very dry, a few shavings of cheese and over cooked bacon. Wedges were too crispy and over salted and the coleslaw failed to even make an appearance. Asked for ketchup as it dish was very dry and was charged 30p for a sachet. Felt it was not the usual Lifton experience I’ve had many many times before and will be making the journey to Lifton going forward rather than here. Always a nice place to go the staff are excellent , I think the cappuchino at over 4 pounds is overpriced but overall a pleasant place.

Beautiful day, enabling us to sit in the garden with our dogs in the shade of the umbrella. Food was lovely, massive portions, we couldn't finish it all. Milkshakes were really tasty, made with ice cream.

We visited here whilst in the area for a few days unfortunately we found the White Hart Inn not until our last evening and we wished we found it on our first. The staff were very welcoming and friendly we felt most welcome it kind of made our trip being here. The food was superb and we could not believe the devon prices so reasonable sort it out cornwall! Easy double the price back home half the taste. Plenty of parking, dog friendly, will leave with change. We speak often of going back

Highly recommend this traditional family run pub. The Landlady is the hardest working person I have ever met and always with a smile on her face. She made us so welcome as did the locals. Lots of locals (good sign) and excellent menu. Not too fussy - just good traditional pub food. I had the sausages & mash with onion gravy with freshly cooked vegetables. Great desserts. We stayed overnight on a Devon Coast to Coast bike ride. My room in the main building was clean, fresh sheets and a bath!!! Essential on a bike riding trip! Views from the pub are stunning when the sun is shining. There is a caravan park out the back. There is cottage accommodation as well which is basic. I encourage you to visit and support them.

First time visiting this restaurant after reading the lovely reviews. Expecting to have a lovely cooked breakfast in the restaurant to start our day only to be told restaurant not open due to no staff. Take away only Had 2 baps and 2 coffees £18 very disappointed the baps were small brioche buns. Won’t be returning..
