Brilliant little cafe, lovely farm shop. Food was amazing and we were served by a lovely waitress called Georgia! Would definitely recommend.

In Tavistock this store has very poor service and is a total mess... I have been burned several times in this store and now I rarely buy anything in it, I choose other organic stores, where the customer is truly valued and honesty is the most important thing. This Tavistock Eversfield shop has frequent changes of sales staff and all very young and inexperienced, doesn't take work seriously, just laughs all the time and doesn't pay any attention to the customer at all, who do not know and do not understand how to really work in the service field and how to treat customers. The goods in the store are often old and inedible, I just threw the product in the trash, such products can lead to poisoning. Cheats with prices, always check the receipts, had to return the product and I didn't hear any apology or regret, stood frowning and dissatisfied as if I punched the wrong price at the checkout. No culture and politeness.

We were going to the Cornish Arms, just up the road, and forgot there was an Everfield Organic Farm shop here. We eat mostly organic, but have not used Everfield yet, although Abel & Cole who we use, sell's their meat! We asked if they allow dogs, no but woman from shop, said she would hold them on lead outside, while we shopped which was very helpful! They did not have much variety in the chilled food, with meat counter being poorly stocked, although plenty of milk! We did buy a bit of other longer life produce, but could not buy chilled produce, due to having broken-down car, and no fridge. Overall it was a lovely shop to have, although more expensive than Waitrose, etc.

WE just popped in to get a warm drink and a quick snack for the kids but were very well looked after and pleasently surprised by the quality of staff and produce.

We have just returned from a short break in Tavistock and were lucky enough to find this place on our arrival. We stocked up with several treats from an excellent range on offer - cold meat and scotch eggs, local ciders, wine, a pasty and some hemp chocolate in our case! Very cheerful and helpful staff - we visited twice during our three-day visit and we will be back.

4 meals ordered, 2 hot and 2 cold. 2 simple hot dishes arrived after 30 mins (to be clear - scrambled egg and mushrooms on by toast - hardly complicated), 1 cold approx 10 mins later and the last one took even longer. Chased twice. No apologies. Staff did not seem to care. Cannot recommend.

This exercise in London marketing leaves so much more to be desired in actual good food and drink. Wildly overpriced, the young staff are full of ready scripted lectures on veganism, and the toilets are frankly scarey, especially during this time when hygiene is so important! No, just no. Whatever your marketing plan is, try being a bit more practical and human. This is obviously just cash generator for someone with no soul or feeling for others or the environment.

Ridiculously expensive - worked out I spent 50p per mushroom. Nice shop but I can't afford to ever shop here again.

So pleased to find a nut dispenser at Eversfield Farm Shop in Tavistock. All the nuts are delicious but the Brazil nuts are my favourite. Very good price for organic nuts. Also the blood oranges are back in stock! They are super sweet and juicy. Keep up the good work Eversfield.

Feared initially that it might be a bit earnest and prissy but while it is carefully crafted and tended and the prices are just a bit higher than elsewhere, the staff are friendly and helpful, the range of produce (not least Baker Tom’s stuff up from Cornwall) is all good and the cafe element works well. Organic farm groceries are well established, we have been taking a weekly box from Wash Farm for well over two decades but Eversfield’s shop has a lot of choices not available from the other sources. Recommended.

We came across this little gem on a recent day trip to Tavistock . Very impressed with the stock on offer and the plastic free fruit and veg containers! Happy, welcoming, staff and spotlessly clean premises! Definitely worth a visit 👍

First time visiting this restaurant after reading the lovely reviews. Expecting to have a lovely cooked breakfast in the restaurant to start our day only to be told restaurant not open due to no staff. Take away only Had 2 baps and 2 coffees £18 very disappointed the baps were small brioche buns. Won’t be returning..

Highly recommend this traditional family run pub. The Landlady is the hardest working person I have ever met and always with a smile on her face. She made us so welcome as did the locals. Lots of locals (good sign) and excellent menu. Not too fussy - just good traditional pub food. I had the sausages & mash with onion gravy with freshly cooked vegetables. Great desserts. We stayed overnight on a Devon Coast to Coast bike ride. My room in the main building was clean, fresh sheets and a bath!!! Essential on a bike riding trip! Views from the pub are stunning when the sun is shining. There is a caravan park out the back. There is cottage accommodation as well which is basic. I encourage you to visit and support them.

We visited here whilst in the area for a few days unfortunately we found the White Hart Inn not until our last evening and we wished we found it on our first. The staff were very welcoming and friendly we felt most welcome it kind of made our trip being here. The food was superb and we could not believe the devon prices so reasonable sort it out cornwall! Easy double the price back home half the taste. Plenty of parking, dog friendly, will leave with change. We speak often of going back

The Post Inn, a stone's throw from the Whiddon Down Travelodge and seemingly the only viable food option within walking distance. Upon reading the overwhelmingly glowing reviews me and my fair lady excitedly headed for dinner post exploring Dartmoor in much need of freshly made home nourishment. Ambience wise the place is interesting, definitely a local's English Pub. Various old world Bric a brac and guitars adjourned the walls alongside the vibrant plastic plants. For the drinkers, a nice selection of local ale and ciders from the well stocked bar, no complaints here. Now onto the food...mid range priced at Gastropub levels we were both anticipating some well cooked locally sourced produce from a competent chef. What we received was even more soulless than a Wetherspoons microwave meal for double the price and without the free pint! Fish and chips, £16 I thought to myself 'An English Classic, It'd be hard to mess this up' A brief wait and what arrived was an overcooked piece of frozen fish drier than the Sahara desert with the batter rock hard and probably best used as a cricket bat. Frozen peas hopefully steamed but possibly microwaved and unseasoned. The Fries were OK but clearly just frozen and dumped into the frier. The little Lady, she ordered a burger which again really lacked any taste and seemed frozen or boiled to temperature served for her in an inedible GF bun. She fed it to the Pub dog and hoped the poor thing wouldn't choke to death. Food Price and quality seriously letting the place down. Once bitten twice shy.
