The best restaurants in Nailsworth Stroud South West

Absolutely fantastic fine dining restaurant, all of the food is well thought out. This was the second time visiting and wasn't disappointed, having a wife who's picky what she eats, not knowing the menu suits us both as we've never been disappointed. The decor and atmosphere is really nice, all of the staff are great and the wine pairings are really thoughtful and makes such a difference to the meal. I can't recommend this restaurant enough, a must go to if visiting for a weekend.

Very tasty Goats Cheese and Spinach Pizza 🍕

An absolutely gorgeous pizzeria just a short walk from Nailsworth town centre. Delicious food, top notch service and very attentive staff. The outdoor seating area is small but relaxing. There is no doubt I will be back soon!

First experience of the Olive Tree was exceptional. Had a lovely evening meal in a welcoming and ambient atmosphere. Enjoy eating out locally and had to leave a review here as the service from Paddy was the best we've received. Highly recommend!

We have wanted to dine at Williams Kitchen but never arranged to, WOW, we all experienced a very enjoyable evening, 3 x swordfish which was extremely good and I ordered the lobster which so nice, finished with some very pleasant dessert’s and coffee. A very nice Pouilly Fume to accompany the food. Staff were very friendly and polite, huge compliments to the chef and kitchen staff. Quite expensive but so worth it. Thankfully we live quite local.

Incredible! A must visit for seafood lovers. The staff were superb, highly trained, professional wait staff. Really friendly and knowledgeable. Food was exceptional. Genuinely can't find flaw. I cannot wait to go back.

This spot was amazing for a quiet Saturday dinner out. We had a lovely risotto and a great attentive service from Tracy and Tracy (yes there’s two and they were both lovely). The ambience was perfect. I would definitely recommend! :)

We have always loved coming to the Weighbridge and having not been since the new owners took over which turns out to be 12+ months ago we visited the first Saturday in February with friends. We all picked the two in one pie in various guises. Mine was a steak n mushroom but I chose to have the root veg for a change and I thoroughly enjoyed it. As we were playing catch up with some friends we were probably the last to leave. There was no pressure put upon us which had certainly happened to us with the previous owners. In fact we chatted with the new landlady and she was very friendly and pleasant. Will definitely return.

We stayed at the rooms and enjoyed the 8 course tasting menu. The food was prepared with great skill and attention to detail. Everything was very tasty and the wine matches were interesting. The staff and chef were very knowledgeable and passionate about the food and service. No liquid nitrogen or gimmicks just well cooked and presented food.

After numerous trial and errors we decided to try here as Stroud WAS CLOSED ON A MONDAY . Many places seemed to be just vegan or one place at 1300 hrs had no bacon for a sarnie . The very large undercover food hall was only partially open , no customers and bizarre selections. The only pub we found The Retreat was empty and only did burger and chips. So we decided to leave. Our last resort was 15. Very little choice. Service very good ,but that's it .

Had an appointment in nearby Horsley on a Monday and found the café as we drove past it. Fantastic home made food made by students and staff at the College , friendly welcome and highly recommend.

I bought lovely fresh bread and organic butter however there are also health products, fresh vegetables etc.

Amazing value bar meals. The Yorkshire pudding wraps with roasties and dipping gravy are to die for. The basket meals look brilliant as well. Great service and a lovely host behind the bar , we will be back to try the rest of the food and music nights soon.

Very good food and helpful staff. Not good on the Coffee side of things, to weak, doesn't taste the same as the real maccoy. 😎
