Food was lovely Full of flavour. Staff very friendly and professional. The property is spotless cleaned down after every person very thoroughly. Thinking of another excuse for a day out up there to go again.

A lovely experience while on holiday. Everyone who served us was absolutely wonderful, the food was delicious, and if ever I had any questions they were answered with ease. Made our last night in Nailsworth a great one, thankyou ❤️

I had a lovely meal with my family while staying in Nailsworth this week. The staff were so friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient. The mains were delicious, most of us had the different risotto options plus some side dishes. The gelato and sorbetto servings were giant and so tasty! We’d definitely recommend them for any ice cream lovers wanting a sweet treat after their meal. So good we came back for takeaway gelato the next day.

We love Amalfi! The food is great and the service is second to none. Mario is always smiling Grazie mille!

My wife and I arrived in Nailsworth later than planned and could only find a few takeaway options before we came across Amalfi. Expecting to be told it would be takeaway only, we were pleasantly surprised when they invited us to sit in for a meal. All the staff were really friendly, helpful and attentive. Sylvia in particular was an absolute superstar! The pizzas were delicious and we were even treated to an after dinner shot of Limoncello (I don't like Limoncello so they gave me Amaretto!) We will definitely visit again when we are next in the area! Thanks again to all the team for the lovely evening!

Ate here for the first time tonight and wish we lived closer so we could make it a regular thing. One of the best restaurants I’ve been to. Food was amazing quality and good portion sizes, lovely classy but relaxed atmosphere, friendly, attentive staff. Everything came out quickly. Highly recommend.

Delicious food, lovely service, and beautiful venue. We ate spinach and ricotta tortellini in a ragu (bolognese) sauce and it tasted so fresh and exquisite. The olives were delicious, too, with olive oil and garlic. They were very welcoming

We went to the restaurant for my partners birthday and had a fantastic meal - the food was excellent and good size portions. The service was very warm, friendly and very attentive - nothing was too much trouble. We would certainly return and recommend the restaurant to anyone who wants a great meal.

Best Italian in the local area. Went there for my husbands 40th birthday. The food was top notch and we had a very attentive and friendly waitress. They were very accommodating of our celebration and thr best part is they are dog friendly. Thank you for the complimtary limoncello! We'll be back

Food was very tasty, menu options were great. Waitress was lovely. We did visit on a weeknight but it was very empty and quiet so we didn’t get to experience the atmosphere which was a shame. But overall experience was great!!

This is the best and most authentic Italian ristorante outside of Italia! Me and mio sorella drove by after a long day of hiking national trust trails. The restaurant actually looked like something you'd expect to find along the Amalfi coast, molto bello! Silvia and donna made the experience even better, great food suggestions (Ravello pizza 10/10), and I got a chance to practice speaking Italian too!

Fantastic little gem of a restaurant- really authentic Italian food and amazing service. I’d certainly recommend this restaurant if you’re in the area - they have a fantastic menu and great specials too. The service from Silvia was brilliant, so attentive and kind to us through our visit. I’d highly recommend the Pizza and Gelato.

Ate here on a Saturday night and I have to say that it was one of the best experiences I've had in restaurants in Britain. The service is second to none. Went over and above to make our evening special. All experienced staff who the majority are Italian, all knowledgeable and caring. Sat outside for a drink whilst we browsed the menu, then moved inside for food. Authentic Italian food. Had a mixture of specials and main menu, all food was lovely presented and tasted amazing. The wine was lovely too. Was enjoying myself too much to take more photos! And a proper Affogato with Amaretto (most places skip the liqueur). Definitely recommend and we will definitely be back. 5 stars 🌟

From the moment we arrived at this pleasantly decorated Restaurant, we were warmly greeted by staff, who were more than helpful, pleasant and interesting to talk to. The Menu has a wide choice of starters, mains and desserts. Excellent quality wine 🍷 also. My husband and I had such a delicious meal and enjoyable evening, we drove miles to go back there for his birthday treat, the following evening. Big shout out to Adono and Sylvia who thoroughly spoiled us.

Service & space let down by very poor food. Mushrooms overcooked in starter, everything overcooked in one main course special and no evidence of anything except button mushrooms in ‘mixed mushroom’ risotto. Ice cream so bland that we couldn’t taste the difference between pistachio and salted caramel and, alarmingly, a piece of broken plastic in the tiramisu. Two dishes taken off the bill, but that wasn’t enough when we were paying that much & really didn’t make up for a very disappointing experience

A culinary gem tucked away in the little market town of Nailsworth. The food, service and ambience is second to none. A slice of authentic Italy in rural Gloucestershire. We left not only having satisfied our appetites but also feeling suitably warm from the friendliness of the people that make Amalfi a must place to visit. Molto Bene.

Delicious authentic Italian l food. Cozy welcoming decor. Marsala chicken was lovely, very large snd tender chicken escalope with plenty of sauce. A large portion of roasted veg accompanied it. Hubby devoured the Tri Carne. Which was also served with plenty of tasty sauce and the roasted veg. Lots of unique specials on the board. The delightful waitress are very accommodating, even found me a pair of specs so I could read the menu.( forgot mine.) They are all a credit to the restaurant and owners. Starters were large and the cheesy garlic bread was pizza sized !! We ordered affrogatta( apologies for spelling.) It came with a shot of Amaretto too. Gorgeous. It was our 25th wedding anniversary and they decorated our table in the lemon roses and ribbon I sneaked to them earlier. Hubby was so touched. Honestly everyone did their upmost to ensure we had a truly memorable evening. We are so very grateful

This was a fantastic family run store in the middle of Nailsworth. Easily accessible. We were able to sit outside and take in the High Street of Nailsworth. The food was wonderful. We had their soup of the day, their spinach and mushroom tortellini, the margherita pizza, the garlic mushrooms and the in-house focaccia. The food was delicious and wonderful and they kindly offered us some biscuits as we left. On the whole it was a wonderful dining experience, the tortellini in particular was absolutely wonderful. If we are in the area again, we will visit them for sure

Great service. Really lovely people. The food however is not good and I am shocked to see so many positive reviews on here about it. I had scallops in shell with breadcrumbs to start. They were clearly from frozen and bought in. Tasteless, horrible texture… fooling no one. They left a horrible aftertaste like really old soggy breadcrumbs. For the main I ordered fillet steak which I also think was from frozen and was the worth cut of fillet I have ever had. It was also bland and was served with some sorry looking salad. None of this would warrant a bad review if it wasn’t so expensive. Our bill was around £160 for 3 people and we all hated our food. Please change the chef because the serving staff are good at their job lovely. Won’t be visiting again unfortunately.

The prices were fair and the food has good flavor! Would highly recommend especially if you’re not into pub cuisine.

Stopped for visit when my wife and I were visiting the area. We were greeted by a very friendly and enthusiastic waitress who couldn't do enough for us. And the food was fantastic. Huge portions and delicious. We will be back if we are in the area again.

Best meal by far we have had during our 3-week trip to England! Loved the pizza. Simple but delicious. Tortellini with bolognese yummy! Topped off with delicious tiramisu and excellent lemoncello.

I ordered the pasta Sofia (pasta with chicken and mushrooms in creamy sauce). Whilst the flavour was good, the chicken had been sliced into such ridiculously tiny pieces that they were barely recognisable. When I mentioned this to the waiter he said it was because they get a lot of children in the restaurant and they like their meat cut into small pieces. I don't expect to be served a child's meal in a restaurant, and clearly this meal was not freshly prepared. Very disappointing. This was my second time here, I'm unlikely to return a third time. On another note, I notice that the owner has commented "shame on you" on all his poor reviews, which is not only arrogant but reflects a poor attitude to his customers and negative feedback.

Lovely Italian restaurant in the middle of Cotswolds serving genuine Italian cuisine. The staff are lovely and very attentive. Portions also pretty decent. Pizza without doubt was the best. Highly recommend to anyone who visits the area.

I was hesitant to write this. Could I have it wrong?......but I have had so much better? Gutted. Money down the drain. Pizza was completely tasteless! Minimal topping for what seems to be a pricey menu. My partners pizza was soggy ( never eat uncooked dough ) but at least had salt in his ingredients to flavour it. I felt so sad to part away paying £85 and having left so hungry. I appreciate the restaurant scores high - granted - but for those authentic Italian cooks and Italian bloodline, please don't be misled. I'm ashamed of Italian cuisine if it was anything like this. The waiter offered to cook it himself when he spotted us disatisfied..really? You're better than the chef? Why not get it right first time? I didn't have time to wait for a third pizza......Ohhhh I have over 1000 reviews, they all say its amazing. What do I know, hey? Never again. Beautiful location on the map, but the reviewers have this oh so wrong. What a waste of a special celebration. EDIT POST OWNER'S RESPONSE Shame on your poorly cooked 3rd pizza. We paid the full price, we are entitled to also feedback, just because its not 4/5, we still have a right to tell people of our experience. We had a gorgeous meal tonight. The wine was delightful, starters were gorgeous and the main meal was fantastic. The staff in the restaurant were all extremely considerate to my allergies and made our evening relaxed. As well as their service, the staff were personable, knowledgeable regarding their food options and hard working. We will be returning and recommending this restaurant to our friends and family. Really bad experience here, really expensive and food was not great at all. Undercooked and soggy

It is one of the worst pizzas I have had, tasteless and very bland, I did mention this and was told the waiter could make another one this would of been 3rd time lucky it would of been made, as first time they got the pizza completely wrong and had to wait for it to be redone. My pizza was very under cooked the base was soggy and not very edible at all. All off the problems we had and still cost us 84 pounds not even something off the bill due to the issues we had. Beautiful restaurant; very nicely decorated, feels very warm, though it is spacious, very friendly staff and they all very happy, helpful and attentive. Food is fantastic, cold cuts platter, seafood pasta which is great portion, lovely pizza and profiteroles!! Definitely recommended and returning!! Thank you for the fantastic dinner!

THE BEST Italian I've ever had. We had a family dinner there to celebrate our wedding- and the food was excellent. The service was without a second thought- perfect. The staff was beyond friendly and helpful. I couldn't have asked for a better experience for our special day. We will definitely be returning anytime we want an elevated night out.

Went there for my birthday last night, first time,without booking a table. From outside is just like another place with green,white and red colours. But from the second you enter,the staff welcome and treat you like VIP. Coats taken and hanged,table clean and ready to sit at it. The staff are Italians,genuinely friendly and helpful,. Drinks were served very quickly. Whilst we were waiting for the main course the waitress was around and making us relaxed and comfortable. The interior is very Italian, pictures from different places in Italy, chilies and garlic pleats hanging. The bar is small,but full of wine bottles in different colours and sizes,like in a village taverna,somewhere in Sicilia. There is accessible toilet on the ground floor. In the basement there are more tables,which reminded me of my native country Bulgaria, where the cellars are converted for eating and drinking. The atmosphere is very nice and takes you to the lands of emperors and gladiators. The food is...delicious, freshly made, and no need to wait to enjoy it. Will go back there to try the dessert menu and wines. Highly recommend the place,just go and see for yourself.
