Great food and great service all around. Excellent portion sizes and staff were very helpful! Service was quick and food was all fresh. Great atmosphere.

I've been here many times and the service is always great. It's a 45 min drive from where I live but every time is still worth it.

What a great place to visit. 8 of us, with 5 celebrating significant birthdays. The staff were generous, thoughtful and our waitress was outstanding with an engaging personality. This is not a chain pretending to be Italian this was the real deal. The menu was quality dining but I wouldn't hesitate in recommending the specials which 3 of us jumped at. Well done and thank you.

Great food and great service would very recommend!

As Italian restaurants go, this one is very average. I don't think it's run by Italians either. The food isn't anything to talk about, the only redeeming element was the pizza. Sadly the tiramisu was inedible, I've rarely had food so bad that I've left it. Well this tiramisu was just that. I have no idea how you can make a sour tiramisu, but these guys managed it. Cap that with staff coming to the table so often it became a bit of a joke, then when we actually needed something we couldn't get their attention.

Felt authentic and very welcoming

We came here for a birthday dinner recently and it was brilliant. The service was attentive and friendly. Even on a weekday evening the place was full, which clearly tells you something. We had a variety of dishes, including seafood pasta, tortellini bolognese, ravioli, garlic bread, and desserts. Everything was delicious and plentiful, and with the Blue Light discount it was quite reasonably priced. We would definitely return.

I had the fungi risotto. A fantastic dish full of flavour and perfectly sized. Second time visiting, definitely worth the trip from Bristol. Staff friendly, service was quick, and desert was great. Next time I'll try the pistachio gelato (ambient temperature forbid it this time).

Delightful food, charming service, pleasant surroundings. The surf and turf from the specials was particularly good, combining a perfectly cooked rib eye steak that was full of flavour and a generous portion of squid ink pasta with tiger prawns in a delicious creamy sauce. Looking forward to our next visit.

I’m fussy and this place exceeded my expectations. Mushroom starter and sea bass risotto’s was just too delicious.. still thinking about it and can’t wait to try it again! But also Sylvia and her brother (?) we’re the hosts with the most.. they both made us feel so welcomed 🎉

We had a wonderful family lunch at Amalfi. The staff were welcoming and helpful, and the specials of the day were a nice addition the the expected menu options. The food was delicious and the portion sizes very generous. They don’t offer a children’s menu but you can take away any left overs 😉 We’ll definitely be back!

We had the pleasure of dining at this Italian gem on New Year’s Eve, and it was an unforgettable experience. The goat cheese starter was simply divine—creamy, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The pasta dishes for the mains were equally outstanding, perfectly cooked, and bursting with authentic Italian flavors. The service was impeccable, with the staff going above and beyond to ensure our meal was perfect. Your service and generosity truly made our New Year’s Eve so special. It’s such a shame we’re not local, as this would undoubtedly become a regular spot for us. If you’re in the area, don’t miss out—this restaurant is a must-visit!

Our 50th Anniversary dinner at one of our favourite restaurants. Whenever we stay in Nailsworth (we live in Cheshire), we always eat here. Fab restaurant and very attentive staff. Cannot fault it!

I had a lovely meal with my family while staying in Nailsworth this week. The staff were so friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient. The mains were delicious, most of us had the different risotto options plus some side dishes. The gelato and sorbetto servings were giant and so tasty! We’d definitely recommend them for any ice cream lovers wanting a sweet treat after their meal. So good we came back for takeaway gelato the next day.

My wife and I arrived in Nailsworth later than planned and could only find a few takeaway options before we came across Amalfi. Expecting to be told it would be takeaway only, we were pleasantly surprised when they invited us to sit in for a meal. All the staff were really friendly, helpful and attentive. Sylvia in particular was an absolute superstar! The pizzas were delicious and we were even treated to an after dinner shot of Limoncello (I don't like Limoncello so they gave me Amaretto!) We will definitely visit again when we are next in the area! Thanks again to all the team for the lovely evening!

Ate here for the first time tonight and wish we lived closer so we could make it a regular thing. One of the best restaurants I’ve been to. Food was amazing quality and good portion sizes, lovely classy but relaxed atmosphere, friendly, attentive staff. Everything came out quickly. Highly recommend.

Delicious food, lovely service, and beautiful venue. We ate spinach and ricotta tortellini in a ragu (bolognese) sauce and it tasted so fresh and exquisite. The olives were delicious, too, with olive oil and garlic. They were very welcoming

We went to the restaurant for my partners birthday and had a fantastic meal - the food was excellent and good size portions. Best Italian in the local area. Went there for my husbands 40th birthday. The food was top notch and we had a very attentive and friendly waitress. They were very accommodating of our celebration and thr best part is they are dog friendly. Thank you for the complimtary limoncello! We'll be back

Food was very tasty, menu options were great. Waitress was lovely. We did visit on a weeknight but it was very empty and quiet so we didn’t get to experience the atmosphere which was a shame. But overall experience was great!!

This is the best and most authentic Italian ristorante outside of Italia! Me and mio sorella drove by after a long day of hiking national trust trails. The restaurant actually looked like something you'd expect to find along the Amalfi coast, molto bello! Silvia and donna made the experience even better, great food suggestions (Ravello pizza 10/10), and I got a chance to practice speaking Italian too!

Ate here on a Saturday night and I have to say that it was one of the best experiences I've had in restaurants in Britain. The service is second to none. Went over and above to make our evening special. All experienced staff who the majority are Italian, all knowledgeable and caring. Sat outside for a drink whilst we browsed the menu, then moved inside for food. Authentic Italian food. Had a mixture of specials and main menu, all food was lovely presented and tasted amazing. The wine was lovely too. Was enjoying myself too much to take more photos! And a proper Affogato with Amaretto (most places skip the liqueur). Definitely recommend and we will definitely be back. 5 stars 🌟

From the moment we arrived at this pleasantly decorated Restaurant, we were warmly greeted by staff, who were more than helpful, pleasant and interesting to talk to. The Menu has a wide choice of starters, mains and desserts. Excellent quality wine 🍷 also. My husband and I had such a delicious meal and enjoyable evening, we drove miles to go back there for his birthday treat, the following evening. Big shout out to Adono and Sylvia who thoroughly spoiled us.

Service & space let down by very poor food. Mushrooms overcooked in starter, everything overcooked in one main course special and no evidence of anything except button mushrooms in ‘mixed mushroom’ risotto. Ice cream so bland that we couldn’t taste the difference between pistachio and salted caramel and, alarmingly, a piece of broken plastic in the tiramisu. Two dishes taken off the bill, but that wasn’t enough when we were paying that much & really didn’t make up for a very disappointing experience

A culinary gem tucked away in the little market town of Nailsworth. The food, service and ambience is second to none. A slice of authentic Italy in rural Gloucestershire. We left not only having satisfied our appetites but also feeling suitably warm from the friendliness of the people that make Amalfi a must place to visit. Molto Bene.

Delicious authentic Italian l food. Cozy welcoming decor. Marsala chicken was lovely, very large snd tender chicken escalope with plenty of sauce. A large portion of roasted veg accompanied it. Hubby devoured the Tri Carne. Which was also served with plenty of tasty sauce and the roasted veg. Lots of unique specials on the board. The delightful waitress are very accommodating, even found me a pair of specs so I could read the menu.( forgot mine.) They are all a credit to the restaurant and owners. Starters were large and the cheesy garlic bread was pizza sized !! We ordered affrogatta( apologies for spelling.) It came with a shot of Amaretto too. Gorgeous. It was our 25th wedding anniversary and they decorated our table in the lemon roses and ribbon I sneaked to them earlier. Hubby was so touched. Honestly everyone did their upmost to ensure we had a truly memorable evening. We are so very grateful

This was a fantastic family run store in the middle of Nailsworth. Easily accessible. We were able to sit outside and take in the High Street of Nailsworth. The food was wonderful. We had their soup of the day, their spinach and mushroom tortellini, the margherita pizza, the garlic mushrooms and the in-house focaccia. The food was delicious and wonderful and they kindly offered us some biscuits as we left. On the whole it was a wonderful dining experience, the tortellini in particular was absolutely wonderful. If we are in the area again, we will visit them for sure

Great service. Really lovely people. The food however is not good and I am shocked to see so many positive reviews on here about it. I had scallops in shell with breadcrumbs to start. They were clearly from frozen and bought in. Tasteless, horrible texture… fooling no one. They left a horrible aftertaste like really old soggy breadcrumbs. For the main I ordered fillet steak which I also think was from frozen and was the worth cut of fillet I have ever had. It was also bland and was served with some sorry looking salad. None of this would warrant a bad review if it wasn’t so expensive. Our bill was around £160 for 3 people and we all hated our food. Please change the chef because the serving staff are good at their job lovely. Won’t be visiting again unfortunately.

Excellent food and hospitality. Silvia made our experience wonderful each night we dined here. We ate here several nights while staying in Tetbury since the food options in the area are limited. The prices were fair and the food has good flavor! Would highly recommend especially if you’re not into pub cuisine.
