As discerning diners we have been infrequent visitors at this delightful wayside hostility for 55 years and we have always been delighted with the home made food on offer. We have also chosen on each visit one of their home made ‘specialty two in one pies’ and have never been disappointed. We first visited this pub in 1970 which from those days has built up an ‘enviable reputation’ for their speciality home made produce’. During the intervening years there has been several owners and bar managers, and doubtless different chefs, but throughout this time their home made food has remained consistently excellent. I must however say IF you are looking for the ‘modern type Michelin minimalist offering with smears, blobs, and pretty flowers on the plate?, the Weighbridge is most definitely not for you; and you are in the wrong place! However if you are searching for wholesome tasty chef made produce, that will satisfy the heartiest of appetites, you have arrived at the right place and like us you will not be disappointed. We incidentally travel 20 miles for this hospitality, and treat the place as ‘our local’. It is to the credit of passing down these much loved traditional home made recipes over the years, and the commitment of all the previous owners and managers that this consistency of quality dining has been maintained. There has over the previous twelve months been yet another change of owners, but the quality of the offering and the service, has remained as good as it originally was in the 1970, this is a remarkable and commendable achievement. Finally worthy of a mention is the Bar Manager Carl, who has been in post for a very large part of the time we have been visiting, and naturally with the chefs and service staff must take great credit for delivering the consistency of these home made recipes. This in the hospitality World is a considerable and commendable achievement. We are looking forward to our next visit, now in our 80th year.

Really nice place for lunch, the 2n1 pies are delicious. They catered for me as a person who is unable to have diary or gluten which was fantastic . Decent price for a decent meal. Would recommend people try it

Ordered six pies for collection, telling friends how great it is and how good the food is to spread the word about a good establishment. Turn up, no pies made, not willing to make them as we wait. Several people disappointed and let down. Terrible experience. Avoid as they were unwilling to do anything to help the situation. Completely unreasonable as we drove across county to collect. Go somewhere else.

Cosy pub and currently nice and Christmassy. Was quite busy for a Tuesday but everyone was literally gone by 9pm. Pie, although lacked a bit of wow factor (on a board without garnish), was absolutely delicious. Pastry was buttery and melt in the mouth as was the steak. Nice drinks. Very large car park which is handy.

Visited this evening, on arrival the waitress was unsure of our booking. Once sorted and sat at an appropriate table where one of us wouldn't be knocking elbows and almost sharing our meal we ordered. I will only comment on my Pie as a vegan I chose the No Turkey with all the trimmings. I was looking forward to the cranberry sauce element but I didn't taste it, sorry. It was a tasteless pie, stodgy and alI I counted as I was eating was 3 chunks of carrot, no parsnip but all stuffing and tasteless vegan sausage. Sorry guys but this isn't a good pie 😥

Some friends and I had just completed a bike ride in the area & we were attracted by the 'home to the famous 2 in 1 pie' sign outside the pub. The service was impeccable - young blonde server had us sat down with drinks very promptly. The 2 in 1 pie with steak & Stilton was the best pie I've ever had. Outstanding service & food - must visit if you're in the area.

Visited here recently and could not get through on the phone when trying to book a table. Had to eventually pop in to book the table in person. When my party of 4 then arrived on the evening, the small table was only set for 2, and staff squeezed another 2 place mats on the table, making our visit very snug and uncomfortable. The service itself was quick, and the pies average and, in my opinion, slightly overpriced. If you like a varied choice of pies then great, but apart from that, not much of an alternative choice of meals.

We have been visiting this delightful olde World pub infrequently now for 54 years when believe it or not we tasted our very first 2 in 1 pies, back in 1970? Furthermore we have been enjoying them ever since and the quality has never faltered or disappointed, This has to be some record for maintaining the consistency of a great home made product. If you are looking for the ‘arty farty’ modern pub cuisine with blobs, smears, pretty flowers, and minimalist portions, you are in the wrong place! But if you want wholesome, tasty, home made comfort food that will satisfy all appetites in a delightful Country pub atmosphere you will not be disappointed at the WEIGH-BRIDGE. Our favourite has always been the 2 in 1 pies so we never require to see the menus. Boring as this this monologue may sound to the modern diner, we are now nearing our 80th year but still enjoy the chef prepared offering in preference to the alternatives in numerous ‘modern trendy’ establishments, which serves up the mundane produce from a polythene bag that has only seen the scissors and microwave before reaching the diners platter 🥶🥶🥶. Give this delightful pub a try if ever passing, it will not disappoint. Long may this delightful establishment continue to thrive and please all their discerning regulars and visiting clientele. 👏👏👏

First of all, a delightful pub tucked away in the countryside. On recommendation we visited and yes, the 2in1 pies are nice, and good quality. But..... The pies are expensive. We have a pub where we live, home made pies with all the vegetables, half the price. Beer choice, pretty limited really. Being served by Ulkey brewery, I was hoping for more of a choice. So, 2 meals, 2 drinks just shy of £50! A tad expensive for what it is! We live in the cotswolds and I know of several very nice establishments serving a two course dinner for less than £20. And on a plate too!

We were staying locally and had seen reviews for the 2 in 1 pies so could not miss the chance to try them. We didn’t book, but were lucky enough to get a table on a Friday teatime, the staff were all really accommodating and friendly. Unfortunately the ‘special’ had sold out so we opted for the steak and mushroom and steak and kidney, both 2 in 1 and we weren’t disappointed, the best pies we’ve ever had. I struggled to eat all of mine so would have the smaller version next time but my other half demolished his. No room for dessert but had a wine and beer, all very reasonably priced. Next time we are in the area we will definitely be calling again.

Our first visit since the new owners have taken over and they are lovely .It was a superb visit and I cannot fault anything about it.The food as always was spot on 4 x 2in1 pies of different fillings and chunky chips were devoured . As we walked in the pub was very busy ,it was lovely and warm with the log burners going, and the staff were very attentive and very friendly. It was just how the Weighbridge used to be cosy and welcoming with great food and great drink and great buzzing atmosphere.Just keep doing what you’re doing and we will see you very soon and thank you for my birthday candles in my pie. We visited this pub which is not too far from us for lunch during the week as we had heard of their famous two in one pies. Let me say that I don't know why they are not more of a thing, as they are amazing. Half meat (of veggie) filling in one end, and cauliflower cheese in the other end topped with a lovely suet type lid. Best thing is you can also buy to take home. Good beers, well kept and friendly staff. Good size beer garden but on a steep bank so maybe harder for people with mobility issues. Worth seeking out.

As a general low carb eater, the thought of a 2-1 pie was a bit of a scary one. However a friend recommended this as one of the most delicious delicacies of this area. The pies were amazing. fresh and just had pastry on the top so we’re not crazily heavy. We shared one large pie between two. I really think this place is exceptional in terms of quality and taste of food not to mention reasonably priced.

What an experience. Let's start with the venue - quaint old style english pub, wood beams everywhere, roaring fire, tables downstairs & upstairs in what used to be the hay loft. Service impeccable, couldn't fault it. Menu choices were great both for kids & adults. Now for the food - My choice was, to give you some idea, was a 2 in 1 pie with steak & kidney pie on one half of the dish and cauliflower cheese on the other half all in the same dish. Other choices available. For dessert I had a 2 in 1 apple crumble with cinnamon on one half of the dish and on the other half cherry pie. The Weighbridge Inn is the home of the 2 in 1 pie I can't recommend this place highly enough, you must visit.

I recently recommended some visitors to the area to go to the Weighbridge for a meal. When they arrived the staff - including the manager - were rude and unfriendly as they hadn't booked. They were accused of standing in the door way and getting in the way of customers when they were talking to them. I find this a very regrettable way to treat to visitors to our town and will never be recommending them again. They went to the Britannia instead where they received a warm welcome and good food. The Weighbridge's lose was the Britannia's gain.

Booked at the last minute for lunch but had a friendly welcome, Covid safe layout. Great food we had their famous pies, not the cheapest place to go but would return.

Visited here with family and was not disappointed. Had a beautiful pie which was large and could not finish it but was very tasty.Good selection of ales and a beautiful building with a lovely outdoor area where we sat. I would certainly return again.

Visited on Saturday with friends and the visit was a massive let down. The ‘pie’ is a good idea but on eating poor, the pastry was undercooked and tasted floury, filling was ok. One of my friends ordered the root veg instead of cauliflower cheese and when it turned up that it wasn’t, it was a ratatouille containing 1 root veg and tasted very odd with the dish. When our server returned she questioned us about why that wasn’t eaten and we explained why and it was like she has had the complaint before. We also were told we had to leave because of other bookings, however nobody came to take our payment for another 30 minutes and the garden was empty no other tables outside.Overall highly disappointing

Booked a table a few weeks in advance as knew it would be busy in august and thought it would be lovely to enjoy a 70th birthday meal there. On the morning of the booking received a call to say our tables were in the marquee but that it would be ‘perfectly dry’ despite the wind and rain that day. This was the first i knew about our tables being outside. Turned up to find that the so called marquee was barely more than a flimsy plastic covering, the rain was blowing in so everything was wet and the whole thing seemed like it was seconds from collapsing (which we were then told had already happened to the other ‘marquees’!). So cant rate the food as we weren't prepared to sit in the wet but the 1 star rating is giving for the lack of any alternative solution offered by the staff who actually told us just to leave. Will not be returning!

Absolutely amazing pies! I had the 2 in 1 mini turkey pie and it was the best pie I’ve ever had. You can tell the pastry is freshly made, tastes like proper home cooked food.

*THIS IS NOT A REVIEW OF THE FOOD*Just wanted to air my immense disappointment of the service recieved by me and my family yesterday. Not being from the area, we waited around for the pub to open thinking we'd booked a table.I'd had a conversation with an employee on Facebook (Their website location) about bringing a pet and confirming the time we'd like to visit. I was asked how many people would be visiting but recieved no response. Having provided the Date, time and party number I thought that would guarantee us a table... boy was I wrong! Not only were we turned away (I'd even showed my Fb conversation)... it was abrupt and with no option given for sitting outside which we would have been happy to do for Covid reasons. Unfortunately for The Weighbridge Inn, I had bragged about looking forward to tucking into their pies and now I have nothing good to say. Deeply, deeply dissapointing...

Called at this little gem of a pub for some food and a catch up after lockdown. The lovely young man behind the bar took our order for drinks and when we had chosen our food another very nice lady took our order. The food was what we expected and very tasty. Will definitely call at the gem when we go back down

The 2in1 pies are second to none and have to be sampled to truly appreciate, you won;t be disappointed! The owners and staff are friendly and accommodating. Fantastic location and great building with open fires in Winter and lovely garden for the long summer evenings. This is my home from home. Truly brilliant and worth popping in for a treat!

Very good pies would go again a unusual way of making pies with meat and vegetables combined within the pie but worked very well and pastry was great.

Went there for lunch to celebrate my Mum and Dads diamond wedding anniversary. We were a party of six, the welcome couldn’t have been warmer, the service was excellent and the food was amazing!! I highly recommend the famous two in one pies! My parents were presented with a complimentary bottle of Prosecco to help them celebrate which was just the nicest, kindest gesture and they were very touched. A massive thank you to all the staff and we’ll definitely be back!

Last time visited “ small Americana “ was 1.95. Then 2.10. Today……2.60. No reason despite costs…..to elevate to this price… There are unfortunately not a lot of “ good coffee shops in Dursley” could do with “Costa” or Coffee1 “ Wake up call……for these stupid prices…..if you want to “ stay open” I’d review all your prices/ ….or you soon will be “ gone” No one wants to fell “ conned” last visit for me!!

Stayed at the Frocester George and ate in the dining room whilst walking the Cotswolds way. My room was lovely- room 12, relatively recently done I think with everything you could want. Spacious room, organic tea and coffee, small fridge with fresh milk in it (yay!!!!) lovely bathroom. The meal was delicious, and the breakfast great, including a wonderful selection of fresh fruit. Would happily return for another stay if I am in the area.

I'm sorry to say, that after reading great reviews and having high expectations of what to expect....the experience was a huge disappointment. 6 of us booked in for Sunday dinner at 2pm,which started well,to be honest....as we were given a choice of the main room or a table set up for 6,in a separate room. We opted for the separate room and took our seats accordingly. After awhile a man came through to take our drinks order and I went 1st....."a o% Guinness please" sorry we don't have that "but I do at my other pub" OK then "could I have an elderflower please" ...."sorry we don't have that" again was the reply OK...."could I have a lime & soda please"....."sorry can't do that due to the trigger on the mixer not working" was the reply. OK...."could I have a lager shandy please"....."sorry can't do that either came the now familiar reply! By this time,it was getting embarrassing in front of the other's waiting to order their drinks and exacerbated,on the point of dehydration....I ordered a tap water.....which along with a gin & flat tonic didn't have ice in. Then.....dinner arrived. I had ordered the 3 meat roast, pork, beef & chicken (£23.50) and my expectations were high....well sadly it wasn't to be. The 3 meat roast consisted of a slice of pork,a slice of beef and a chicken leg plonked on the top...how bizarre! The meal itself was only warm and not piping hot as I would have expected.....after the drinks fiasco,I didn't feel able to complain without drawing attention myself in front of the other members of our party at the table. Finally....the bill came and as well as charging us for £2 for a lime & soda which I couldn't have, an £18 plus service charge had been added to the bill. That was the final insult.....£18 service charge for what exactly?? No drinks of choice and a luke warm meal. I wanted to dispute the service charge but again....I didn't want to draw attention to myself and possibly put my other party members in an embarrassing situation. I would like it refunded to be honest, as another issue I encountered while there....no soap in the soap dispenser despite visiting the toilet at the start of our meal and then again an hour or so later after the meal. I'm sorry, but I wouldn't eat there again or recommend to others to do so either......maybe it was "just a bad day at the office" for the pub on the day of our visit, but then the service shouldn't have been added automatically,if all of the above had been taken in to consideration.

When you book online then go pick up your order in the 20 minutes they said it would take and wait for two other people before you who booked on-line to be served, then your next waiting at counter yet someone who came in 3 minutes after you who's stood behind gets asked his name and served before you isn't good customer service.
