Very good food and helpful staff. Not good on the Coffee side of things, to weak, doesn't taste the same as the real maccoy. 😎

I've been using Walkers regularly over the past few years and they're excellent in all respects. Lovely wholesome bread and delicious homemade rolls with fresh fillings. Also a cheerful staff to brighten up the day. They're hidden behind Brutons the ironmongers but well worth finding!

Excellent bread and filled rolls. A rare treat to find a traditional bakers still making bread as it used to be in my childhood - all hand made and naturally fermented in their Stroud bakery a few miles away.

What a refreshing change from the normal services. This is a large building with a farmhouse style rustic appearance. Look, I'll be positive about this because it is rather expensive. However, the quality of the goods is a lot better than you would get at a typical services. I think it was really nice. Very importantly, toilets were immaculately clean. I highly recommend this place

Turned up at lunchtime to find pub closed, despite saying online that would be open. Phoned but no one answered (although answer message also said pub would be open). Fortunately the cafe down the road was open. (After a walk we were hungry!)

Quirky and colourful café tucked away off Stroud High Street (so tucked away I didn’t know it was there!). Incredible range of vegetarian (and non-veggie) brunch items, including a specials board. Cakes looked amazing – with a decent choice of gluten free and vegan options (we were too full from brunch to taste them, but will go back). I opted for the goats cheese with sage honey and walnuts on sourdough, which looked amazing on Instagram but was mediocre in reality. The cheese was slightly warm but not melted at all and the bread was tough. I put down to being the busiest time on the busiest day of the week and will go back and try something different another time. Coffee was delicious.

The perfectly charred burgers at Bisley House Bar and Grill are a triumph of simple flavors executed flawlessly. Their juicy patties on a toasted brioche bun, topped with melted aged cheddar, crisp lettuce, and a special house sauce that adds just the right tangy kick. Each bite delivers that ideal meat-to-bun ratio. Served with truffle fries, its comfort food elevated to gourmet status.
