Gravity Fish and Chips Dursley in Stroud

The food was ok but not as great as was expected from the reviews and I was told the large chips were huge so to have a regular but they were not large imo The fish also was ok only still had the black skin on it which even cheaper restaurants seem to remove and I found a piece of plastic or something weird in the fish as pictured the fish was also slightly greasy But overall it was a decent meal it cost about £13 with a can of drink but that’s only for takeaway if you want to sit in it would cost maybe £4-£5 more

This was my burger today has u can see it wasn't cooked properly and I can never phone the place has it always goes to Vodafone voice mail

Go In here often and spend good money. Came in today and wish I did not! Barely any food to choose from and the chips were tastless and burnt. So disappointed as its not the cheapest fish shop but if the quality is good it's not an issue however feel like I've wasted my money.

A gem of an eatery! Such a breath of fresh air to see a top class modern, bright, spotless fish and chip shop/cafe thats Situated in a picturesque town. The staff were very attentive and service was amazing. As for our fish and chips, they were cooked to perfection, fresh and light crispy batter, gorgeous thick cut chips, topped with a side of mushy peas and curry sauce...they definitely know what they're doing and it shows....none of that greasy stodge served here! To follow we had delicious freshly cooked pancakes with Nutella, banana and ice-cream, absolutely lush! Absolutely would recommend, We will definitely be back!!!

Always enjoy our visits here. Food is good and the owner's and their staff are friendly nothing is to much trouble. This location benefits from not only being a fish and chip shop but also a cafe as well. Recommend a visit here. Toilet seat loose on last 3 visits over a 6 month period. Light not working in the toilet on 2 visits over 3 months. Otherwise, clean and well stocked.

Fabulous fish and chips breakfast not so good.

Great food, great portions and price is worth the quality and portion size. Staff are always friendly and smiling which makes a significant difference to some of the places I've been to. Highly recommend even if you're just passing through this little town.

The best fish I have had for a very long time. Crispy batter, fresh cod, cooked just right so was creamy and flaky. The staff so friendly and helpful too. Inside seating is utilitarian but has outside tables so you can relax and watch the world go by. Highly recommended.

Stopped in for a cup of coffee, the barista was very friendly.

Great fish and chips, enjoyed in the sunshine at an outside table. The staff were friendly and attentive. They gave our dog a chip shop treat.

Had an amazing lunch here. Child's cod bites and chips was enough for an adult but also had a delicious baguette with bacon & avocado. Both excellent meals

Popped in for fish and chips with my dad, not having visited Gravity before. We were both pleasantly surprised by the size and quality of the 'medium cod', which was much larger than we expected. The chips were also excellent and the place itself was very clean and well staffed. Overall, I've had far lower quality fish and chips when I used to live by the seaside, so this was a welcome surprise!

The lady who served was lovely and friendly. Nice place to eat and/ or just have a coffee/tea Only thing I would say is I wish they had offered salad with our roll as it was plain.......very nice but very plain

Got charged over £18.00 for 2 regular cod and chips and two cans of drink(take away!!!) , and the saddest part is the food wasn’t even nice ☹️

Generally good food. Great choice of pancakes and milkshakes for dining in. Glad they are open every day. Not totally keen on their batter, but some say they prefer it. Personal taste I guess.

This establishment denied my 73rd dad use of thier toilet when he was volunteering at the Dursley Christmas lights switch on. This man has stood in the freezing cold for hours to make sure people were safe and had everything they needed and when asked to use your facilities was ejected with rudeness. I am disgusted of you as a business.

Outstanding chip shop in every way possible in our opinion. Everything from the excellent customer service, friendly staff & owners, inside decor and seating arrangements, top quality food & drinks, generous portions, good town centre location and customer car parking at the rear. Have been to chip shops the length and breadth of the UK and this one is perhaps the best one of the lot from the overall experience. I highly recommend this place!

Back in Dursley for the first time in years. What a brilliant place. Huge portions, good value and excellent table service. I will be back.

We put a order in at 6.15pm, at 8.15 still no food delivered, very poor service. This is the 3rd time we have order and to wait over 2 hours for delivery is very very bad 👎

When eventually received Fish & Chips they were delicious ordered fish without skin on. However delivery was rubbish nearly hour late nearer 8.30pm rather than 7.30pm. had visitors so made it difficult. Yes I will use gravity again and pre order but will collect.

Used to be the best until their prices went up alot overnight, and a couple of times they forgot battered sausage and we now use kingshill!

Stopped by here for some lunch with a couple of friends whilst in the area. Food selection is OK but a bit quirky that may put some people off but there was something all of us would eat. The pancakes and Bacon that I had were fresh and reasonably sized.

Had chips and curry sauce here while passing through the town. Very good food, my wife had a pizza thing in a baguette which sounds strange but it was lovely. Highly recommended

The food is ok, the service is poor, disorganized and slow. They need to sort out the ordering and bagging of food and put someone front of house who is more customer oriented.

The fish and chips were fine but it was too expensive for nearly 30 pounds for 2 people its out of order for that they are charging they need to lower the price at a reasonable price for everyone to afford to pay at a low price like 5 or 6 pounds is reasonable

Visited yesterday at about 4:50pm. Never really in Dursley but the ladies inside were both very patient with me. Thank you for some excellent food!

First time ordering from Gravity and OMG we were not disappointed. We had the SFC and the chicken pieces were very generous in size and tasted incredible - better than KFC! We look forward to our Friday takeaways and we will 100% be ordering again from you very very soon. Delivery was bang on time too via Just Eat.

Popped in and ordered 2x large cod and chips as in town and almost tea-time. The place looks very clean and will be back to try the eat in option. The food I had was pretty good, fish not greasy and really good size, batter was not too thick. Chips were nice but maybe not as flavoursome as I'm used too, but with the curry sauce on the side it was not an issue.

Delivery was an hour late, poor excuses as to why and proved to be incorrect. Pizza's didn't taste great and was cold. Chicken bites was so greasy.

Thank you once again for our scrumptious food. I love the fish batter it is so light and delicious. Highly recommend!!👍😋

I had heard good things Gravity takeaway so I thought I would try it. I had cod and chips the chips were ok but the cod was very poor there was hardly any cod it was more batter and the service was poor the woman in her 50s was talking a lot as she was serving she was not aware people were waiting. I was very disappointed charge close to £7 for cod that that was mainly batter.
