The best restaurants in South Somerset South West

Stopped in here for a bite to eat on our way back from golf in Yeovil, had a very nice burger and the staff were attentive and polite.

Best gammon that me and the missus has ever had. Nice buttery roasties and plenty of vegetable options. Plenty of seating and car parking spaces. Nice large outside area for summer time food and drink. Staff were friendly and reasonably priced food. Downside was that the carpets needed a really good clean, but I'm sure that this will be seen too in the not too distant future.

Beautiful place lovely food lovely staff Just needed a bit more meat given with the carvery as very little but shocked that a service charge is just put on the bill at the end without asking, won't be going again .such a shame

Went for an evening meal on 23rd February to celebrate my mum's birthday. Food was delicious. Look at for the offer on the steak night. I had seabass which was very tasty. We didn't have dessert on this occasion (although have done so on previous visits) as we had bought a birthday cake along. Well sort a visit. The pub is on the A30 in Milborne Port. Plenty of parking or there is parking nearby. Staff were very helpful and attentive.

We had a wonderful stay. Exactly what we wanted, friendly, welcoming and quiet. We enjoyed the garden and surroundings. A welcome relaxed 2 night stay.

Really enjoyed our visit. Staff attentive and smiling. Steak was excellent. Menu extensive in selection. Which surprised us. Hubby and I really had a relaxing experience. Will visit again.

Staff was friendly, it was busy but good experience and also happy to come in. My kids enjoyed their dinner and the prices was Good

Cracking homely, local pub which is great for a few drinks and/or meal. Warm and friendly staff, nice, relaxed atmosphere. Serves good, homemade, tasty traditional pub grub with wide selection available and all reasonably priced. It’s nothing fancy but doesn’t try to be and that’s why we love it. It’s popular and often gets busy, even on some weeknights, so worth booking if you are going with a group or have in mind a particular time to go.

Discovered this pub while on a weekend visit to Ilminster. The staff were very accommodating and friendly. Great food at a reasonable price. Really enjoyed it - went back the second night of our stay!

We chose the Kings Arms for a get together and lunch with my cousins and two puppies. We booked a table in advance for Sunday Lunch for 9 of us. We were greeted by the friendly bar staff when we arrived ordered some drinks and were shown to our table in a private dining room (The Abbey Room). The menu choices were perfect for us and also included a vegetarian option. Our order was soon taken and it wasn’t long before Lunch was served. Everyone was very pleased with what they had ordered and the beef was absolutely perfect. The Dessert menu had something for everyone, including my wife who is dairy intolerant. In summary:- Fantastic Lunch, venue and service. Thank you to all the staff for making our get together memorable, and for all the right reasons 👏

This place does the best fish and chips.

I recently visited your store and felt compelled to say just how impressed by the speed and efficiently I was dealt with. The staff were so polite and friendly instantly putting me at ease. I was unsure what I wanted and a lovely lady called Paula helped me select one. I was impressed that although there was only 2 members of staff on at a busy time they were both proactive in making sure the tables were cleaned quickly and that everyone was happy. A young lady who I believe is called Masie even suggested I try some of the lovely cakes that were on offer which I didnt regret.

This lovely staff called alfie was so sweet and kind. Security Kept an eye on us and it made us super comfortable and safe. Alfie was amazing to talk to too
