Just moved to yeovil and great to find a good chippy! Reasonably priced, friendly service. Nice and busy in the restaurant and takeout which is a good sign too! Great curry sauce!

The first time we moved down to yeovil we had fish and chips from here as one of the local chippy went down hill the chips are to die for and the fish is amazing the curry sauce is brilliant the staff are amazing very quick it can get quite busy at the weekends so pays to get there a bit earlier

Picked up 81 meals for a local quiz. On time and delicious.Who else could have managed this quantity? I did pre-order first!!

Shame that the other branch closed, the portion sizes here are stingy. For some reason they don't sell jumbo sausages, and you have to add your own salt and vinegar. Quality is good though.

Pretty terrible to be honest. Chips where OK but fish was dreadful. Tiny portion and had been sat around for ages. It was dripping in fat and batter was soft. I could ring fat out of it which actually turned the misses stomach. Binned the lot, £20 wasted and had to go back out and buy tea elsewhere.

My first time at Palmer's restaurant. Extremely efficient service. The food was awesome.,cooked amazingly not greasy in any way. The curry sauce was the best I've had. Cleanest toilets I've ever seen

Fish & chip shop with restaurant. All ways clean and tidy. Can be a bit tight on the chips sometimes.

Staff were friendly and accommodating and both fish and chips were cooked brilliantly and well flavoured. Would eat here again and very happy to recommend.

I am well travelled around the UK and fish and chips is my chosen staple. Palmers are in my top 5 of places to eat from the way the staff have a look of appreciation that you are there, smiling staff are very important they made being served a pleasure as I find going into busy places difficult. I felt very welcome. The chips as well as the Fish were cooked to a crunchy delicious mouth watering taste and my Springer Spaniel enjoyed his sausage. See you all again.

Had a takeout as late home from work. Excellent Fish and Chips a Chicken and Chips. Fish Cakes ain't bad either. Would always recommend it.

Deciding to eat in was probably my mistake! £4.80 for a portion of chips! £2.80 for a glass of Coke.. Admittedly I should’ve looked at the prices before ordering but I do use other Fish and Chip shops and their prices are far more reasonable. The food was good but way too expensive!

Changed the seating in the restaurant now you can hardly move in there, people you don't know having to share tables,, we won't be coming back .hate the changes not good, craming as many tables in so you can make more profit but you have just lost 5 regulars. Well done 👏

Always come for breakfast. Cooked to perfection and really good deals 2 for 1. Most definitely recommend.

Lovely food but chip portion size has gotten smaller and smaller for the takeaway side of this shop. Me and my partner are not huge eaters but you need a large portion each to be enough chips

Disappointed today my partners poached eggs were both hard! I had a midi breakfast and my eggs were over cooked and hard.

Incredibly fast and efficient service and great fish and chips. I have driven past this place so many times and thought it was a fancy looking fish and chip shop but only just tried it. VERY impressed!!!

the fish has shrunk beyond belief the batter was very dark brown & very greasy we have been on every visit to the area since it opened - unlikely to return to this branch

Excellent quality and price is reasonable. Food is always served within 10 mins of drinks being brought to table which helps when your super hungry! Always friendly service from the team! Only thing to niggle at is where is the battered onion rings, mushrooms or curry sauce which is a staple with any Fish and Chip shop?

This was our first visit to Palmer's and overall I would say that it was nice. It's no frills, there is nothing high quality about the food. The service was great though, the staff were friendly.

A super friendly place with a large parking area and a spacious area to sit and dine. Very fresh cod, batter a tint bit dark for my liking and fruity nice curry sauce. Lots of drinks even milkshakes. I had an ice cold ginger beer. Will revisit asap

We have had regular fish & chips from Palmers for a few years now and generally they are not too bad, sometimes a bit hit & miss with the fish being too dry or the chips being overcooked, but overall they seem to be the best you can get in Yeovil. However on Friday (national fish and chips day) they excelled themselves, both the fish and the chips were delicious!!!! worthy of a review and 5 stars!! if they keep the standard they served on Friday up then I would highly recommend.

I have been getting the whole chicken which they sell, £9. It's a very good size and isn't dry like some of the supermarket versions and of course available after 6pm still.

It was nice to find a fish and chip place where you can sit in the service was excellent the chips and side of onion rings were nicely cooked the cod was not as good because the fish was a bit dry and there was a bit too much batter on the fish.

Lovely fresh fish and chips. Service is exceptional and Palmers is very clean. I had some Haddock and chips @ £10. They offer salt and vinegar on a side table to you can add as much as you like. Definitely going back to try the Cod this time.

Food tasted very good, but a 4” piece of fish for £5 is a joke.

Nearly 5 times already this year learner drivers either nearly damage car or knocked someone down. They use it like a driving school test carpark on daily basis. Who liability as no signs saying no use allowed for driving schools??

A disappointing lunchtime visit to Palmers sit down restaurant today. The staff were friendly and polite. The table was reasonably clean, as you should expect. Sadly the actual meal was well below standard. The chips, were, at best okay. Sadly the fish had been sitting for some time. It was dry, and less than enjoyable. We were surprised as this was peak lunchtime, not a few minutes before closing time. We should really have sent it back but didn't, so we only have ourselves to blame there. We have in the past had good, fresh fish here, hopefully this was a one off. Very poor Palmers, there is no excuse!
