Have to put 5/5 because 10/10 wasn’t an option which it absolutely deserves. Great food at a fair price and even better customer service

My uncle is in a nursing home in yeovil, The man who runs the chippy was really kind, I rang him and asked if he could deliver, he said No not really, but when he realised the Nursing home is only 5 mins away, he did deliver my uncle some Fish and chips. Amazing, he really enjoyed them. My uncle was so pleased. Thank you very much, very kind.

All I can say is that this has to be the best fish and chip shop in yeovil. Very good prices with massive portions . If you spend a certain amount you get a free lage sausage which our dog loves.

Great local fish bar, lovely friendly staff with a warm welcome and can do attitude. Generous portions, certainly would recommend and we visit as often as we can.

It was ok. Good value for money. Loads of chips, a large portion serves at least 4. Well done grass Royal keep up the good value!

Great value takeaway, with friendly staff. I have been using regularly over the past few months and I am still to have a bad meal. Has been given a recent spruce up which was good to see.

Just Purchased 4 meals and was very disappointed with the chips as they were all very tough and chewy tried calling them to explain and they thought I wanted to order from them explaining no I don’t want to order I’m complaining about the chips he then passed me over to speak to someone else and again they think I’m ordering 🙄they obviously not listening to me or just don’t want to know so don’t think I’ll be going there again 😡

Decent chippy.. good portions.. not too greasy.

Great food service and price. Only downside is that the sheer volume of portion size which for some is a bonus for me was almost off putting. Chip mountain.

At this chippy you gelt lots for your money, always fresh and always polite service, love the chicken curry here I had it with chips I couldn't finish the whole portion. Highly recommend if your on a budget for family xxx

Love 'em. Don't be decoleived by exterior looks. I love fish and chips and tried fish and chip shops all over the country (even Britains no. 1) and on a good day, they are the best; better than Plympton for sure. Chips dont look like much but taste great. I find it best to go during week when cooked to order. Long wait but piping hot and delicious... Polish owners; great couple. Work hard and provide great service. Leaving for a couple of years and when I return first thing Im going to try is Grass Royal fish and chip bar

This fish and chip shop sells, in my view, the superior chips of this area. It is conveniently sited and has easy parking.

As a local, I have been using grass royal chip shop for years and I will continue to do so. Lovely food, nice size portions and quick. Can't ask for more than that.

Good value fish & chips if you don't mind waiting a while even when there is nobody in there, they never seem to have food ready to serve! Not the most appealing place , could do with a lick of paint. Some weeks ago there was a fly paper adhered to the ceiling full of dead fly's , but this has now vanished. Sometimes the chips are not very warm when I have reached home & I have to reheat them in the microwave.

In my opinion it is the best fish and chip shop in Yeovil. Decent portion size and when you spend a certain amount you get something free with your meal. Highly recommend

Chips very nice and good value for money. Kids enjoyed the sausage and chips and eat as much as they could. My fish was ok batter was a little soggy and also fish taste very fatty. Couldnt really taste the fish all I could taste was fat. Cleanliness of the place could improve and staff could do improve their customer service.

This chippie has greatly improved since it changed hands. The special offers are very good value, and the portion sizes are about right (too many chips in the past). It also helps that I only live about 3 minutes walk away!

You can't knock this place. Good size portion and good value for money. Well done mate, all you need to do is sell some ice cold beers with your fish and chips and this place would be heaven.
