Total lack of customer service. Walked in to order takeaway coffee and absolutely no acknowledgment of presence.
She continued preparing orders without even acknowledging me or saying ‘I’ll be a moment’ which is not taxing to do. After 5 minutes of being completely ignored I left and got my coffee elsewhere.
At least acknowledge customers when they’re waiting!
This takeaway has not been open for several months now. New owners took over the business, renaming it and then after a few months, they seem to have disappeared. No signs on the door, there's been no indication of re-opening and the owners haven't been seen. One former member of staff has said that they have permanently closed but this is unconfirmed.
Wanted fish and chip takeaway. Ordered 1 medium fish and chips and 1 small but were told by young man behind bar that we could only have medium haddock or large cod. I’m not a huge fish eater so my Husband had large cod and I opted for just chips (could share some of his fish) when it was handed over it was a medium size cod with a small cod sat on top! The cost was over £22! This was more than a small and medium cod and chips which we originally wanted. Another customer was served the same. Although the food was nice being ripped off left a sour taste! We won’t be rushing back which is a shame as we visit Slapton a few times a year.
Food not quite so good this week. Fish a tad overcooked and chips a tad under.
Update during school holidays:
Last few weeks have been great but today it was almost as if quality has gone out the window. Fish batter was poor, chips undercooked and I'm sure the battered sausages were extra cheap (definitely not their normal supplier). I really should remember not to visit during holiday times. This is the same problem with so many local outlets - quality goes down when turnover goes up.
Always a good choice for breakfast, coffee, or lunch.
Met up with friends for breakfast and coffee, good size portions reasonably priced.
We were lucky to get a table, it gets extremely busy, so cannot always guarantee a seat. Seating upstairs, but only on warm days.
Staff as always, are great
Awful was served a dish of slop which was named as Moussaka on the menu.Manager not bothered when I mentioned this .Apparently this was a best seller and this is how it is served.Never Again is all I can say
Dalton S Little Asia produce uses some of the best sweet-and-sour pork we have had since we left Hong Kong. Madame outfront is absolutely charming on her son in the kitchen. Does a great job. I would recommend the mixed starter platter, the hot and sour soup, the sweet-and-sour pork, The crispy chilli beef, the Singapore noodle and the massive man Curry.
We have been a number of times and I’ve always been really impressed with the friendless of the welcome, the great service and the outstanding Food.
