Popped in one lunchtime to check it out & book a table for the evening however weren’t impressed with the reception despite there only being two other people in. We followed three other people in with their dogs who also waited as we did but there was no one behind the bar although there was a man talking to the couple at a table. No communication came from this person at all so we all walked out! The atmosphere was somewhat depressing!

Amazing attentive service and great food, we attended a Ramen night and couldn’t fault it at all. Perfect food and great ambiance

The pub is shut and apparently has been for several months. The local community has plans to buy it and reopen it. But this, apparently, is long term.

Been here for a week and feel like I’ve known everybody for years all staff have been absolutely brilliant service has been incredible food service is fantastic big thanks to Phill as he has welcomed us none local people with open arms with great enthusiasm and recommendations of places to be around the area himself and the team are a credit to the area and I strongly recommend coming in as you will feel very welcomed

Ordered one of everything off the menu, scranned the lot whilst my kids sat there begging for some but no way was I sharing. The food was delicious however wish the portions had been bigger as I ended up having to order twice as the first lot didn't fill me up. I did have food poisoning the next day but was worth it 💗💗💗

Totnes Grill is an amazing place to get pizzas for family parties. I personally love their plain cheese pizzas, but everything is just so good from here! So lucky to be able to call up and have a quality pizza or burger delivered!

I've visited The Castle a number of times over 10 years and really enjoyed the food and drink here. But my last visit - with the hotel having been sold to St Austell brewery - has led me to leave this review. The menu has been drastically slashed to very basic options. Where once a variety of fish dishes and others were available, now it's just fish and chips, burger and little else. Extremely limited now for lunch too. It's gone from "very nice" to "fine". A good restaurant to standard pub grub. A great shame because the beer is decent and the bar very cosy and welcoming.

The food is outstanding! After a great day kayaking on the River Dart we ate at The Old Sawmill. Awesome menu to cater for all tastes. I ordered the chicken Fajitas! Wow! Great value for money and the staff were really friendly and helpful. Top food, service and atmosphere!

I’ve attended totnes doing some work cover, I’m not familiar with totnes, I’ve come to the waterside for a couple of after work drinks and I’ve never been made to feel as welcome as I have tonight, a girl called Sophia made my night along with her manager, lovely people I wish I could steal them for my work place, credits to them both, real credit to your business.
