Tasteless base on the edge of stale ! Cheaper ingredients reflects in the overall taste of the finished product.

We moved out of Kingsbridge 2.5 years ago and didn’t realise how much we had missed Pizza Planet until we popped back this evening! Great pizza, fresh ingredients with fast and friendly service 😀

Paid nearly £40 for 2 medium pizzas, 2 sides and 2 cans. More than what Domino’s costs, which is nicer. Pizzas were ok. Cheesy curly fries were basically raw uncooked curly fries and a big lump of melted cheese to one side of the takeaway box.

I don’t usually leave reviews but I felt this was warranted, considering the recent reviews. We placed our order in advance, to be delivered on New Year’s Eve. We ordered a vegetarian and vegan pizza with a side of garlic bread, curly fries and potato wedges. The meal was delivered at exactly 8pm, very impressive considering we are a good 20 mins drive from Kingsbridge. The delivery person was absolutely lovely. The food was hot and appetising. We were really impressed with the food. The pizza’s were loaded with toppings, fresh and non greasy. The sides were on par with any other pizza establishment we have had and it was nice to have the option of curly fries ( haven’t had them in years). Overall a really lovely meal. We will be ordering again.

Ordered a couple of gluten free options and informed that we had a coeliac member of the family, assured all would be clearly labelled. Unfortunately they apparently put the wrong pizza in the wrong labelled box or so the owner said when I called back, he said he would unleash hell fire on the girl responsible, which I asked him just to educate instead other than that he said he didn't know what I expected him to do. Not very helpful when a lot of trauma has now been caused! So if you have any allergies probably best not risk eating there, we will never again!!!

Not an exaggeration but the worst pizza of my life. In fact it’s not pizza in any sense of the word- the base is a literal biscuit with no chewiness or rise of conventional dough. I really encourage the owners to gain inspiration from franchises like Dough.

What a great takeaway pizza place! The service was honest and friendly, most importantly for me, they provided a reasonable number of vegan pizzas for me to choose from! Tha knyou team!

The website says they are still improving the “secret recipe” for the dough ten years on so I dread to think what the first version was like because they are a long way from achieving a decent pizza. The pizza base was undercooked, flavourless, thick and doughy. No amount of toppings could save it. The calzone was incredibly wet inside but at least the dough was cooked. The garlic bread managed to not contain a hint of garlic and had a strange synthetic taste, baffling for such a simple dish. The nachos were good. For the price I anticipated pizza that felt more authentic and was definitely cooked properly, below average and disappointing. Delivery service was good.

Good pizza and was able to order online with no issues. Had to drive from a campsite to collect but was ready exactly when they said it would be.

Ordered a pizza for delivery. It was delivered quickly and still piping hot. We received the pizza about 25 minutes after ordering which I think was exceptional. Also tasted really nice with generous amounts of toppings

Tasty toppings (with a really good selection) but quite an underwhelming base on each of the 3 pizzas we had.

Not long got back with our food. Me and my partner ordered a meat feast 2 pizza and a combo box, the pizza base was dry and didn’t taste fresh. The combo box was just cheap tasting frozen chicken bits and undercooked curly fries. The only reason for the 2 marks was down to there being two nice staff members.

One, two, three, OUT,...This place is out of the takeaway or delivery list because it is disgusting. The first time it was okay. Yet the second and third time it has been disgusting. They have children working there which is a problem. I do not recommend this place. Grease was all over the curly fries making them soggy, disgusting. The chicken wings were soggy not crispy, soggy with grease, again disgusting. This place has immature teenagers doing the work, work that needs to be supervised by a responsible person which it is not, obviously!

Ordered two large pizzas and wedges at 17;13 this evening, picked them up at 17:35 drove 20 minutes back to our campsite woodlands leisure park to settle down to enjoy our pizzas and wedges but when we did the wedges were hard, the pizzas tasted stale and not very nice at all. I rang and spoke to what he said was the owner to be told that the dough was made fresh this afternoon and it’s me who was in the wrong because we didn’t sit and eat the pizza there and then but drove 20 minutes and that’s how it must be stale . This man who needs to work out if he’s the owner or the manager who was very rude and said he was going to contact the manufacturer who made the wedges to find out why they’re hard nothing to do with the shop cooking the wedges apparently. If this guy was the manager or the owner he needs to look at his customer service and how he speaks to people, utterly disgusting. You sir need to go back to learn how to speak and treat your customers and give yourself a rebrief.

Stale pizza very obviously not fresh as the advert states “freshly pizza baked” then the manager insults us and told us it was our fault for travelling 40mins. We are camped in woodland 20min drive away. Not a business i would recommend stay well clear !!

Only one visit because we’re not local and we were just passing through. This is apparently not a mega chain but a carefully crafted local business and we think that the friendly man we dealt with was probably the manager or even the owner. Friendly place. There is a good selection of toppings and sizes. No pretentions to be like some hillside Neapolitan kitchen. Just fairly quick and also tasty value for money. Steady stream of affable customers. We were so hungry we just carried off and consumed the pizzas without thinking to take some pics of the shop or the food. Maybe the management or regulars could add some to this listing.

Had two small pizzas when i saw the boxes i thought gosh it's small(wasn't cheap) ,but pizzas was well tasty and filing, so it was just about enough 1 small pizza pp, if iam in town again i would definitely come back

Great pizzas, all hot on delivery and tasting great, good range. Would suggest the Gluten Free boxes could be marked/stickered though, we identified thru elimination, but a sticker would have been helpful, 👍😁

We always have take away pizza from this place, because it's tasty, service is good and it's not overly expensive. One and only thing I don't get is that they haven't got fresh tomatoes to put on pizza. Perhaps it's only me who want that.

Lovely pizza's delivered to us whilst camping. Kids devoured them! Happy kids make happy parents. Cheers guys

We enjoyed our pizza so much, lovely soft base and not at all greasy. Chicken and wedges were so tender and tasty! Food arrived hot and the delivery person was friendly too, Will definitely order again. Best pizza we have had in a while thank you .

Good takeaway system. Masks required and limit of one person in the building. Sanitiser is provided and staff have measures to keep them all safe (both in the place and when delivering)

Although the food arrived on time it was soggy and very underwhelming, first and only time I would purchase from pizza Planet. The crispy wings weren’t crispy, goujons soggy, pizza well below average.

Vegan pizza was the best I’ve had 👍 👌

Although the staff were lovely and friendly the pizza was probably the worst I have ever had. The base was thin and cardboard like and the topping not much better. I honestly would have found a supermarket pizza 10x better but unfortunately we didn’t have a oven to bake one. It also didn’t help that we paid a lot of money for these pizzas, I was very surprised how busy they are given how bad we found the pizza. Would not come here again.

A usual option for feeding the kids after the beach, the pizza menu is slightly better than standard fare , but the costs reflect this and the pizzas aren’t exceptional. Delivery seems very slow, so best option is to collect.

Ordered as soon as they opened, arrived 2 hours later. No apology. Pizza was average, pizza bases were not cooked enough. Expensive for what we got!

🍕The pizza planet has been my favourite take away place since it opened in 05. Even now when I come to visit family its is a welcome treat to have one of their meat feasts. With nice medium thick dough awesome toppings just the unwavering quality all these years. Plus they are good reheated the next day. 👍

Lovely pizza, and a bonus being able to get beer when the shops close and you need a nightcap

We had to wait 7 minutes on hold to order takeaway over the phone on a Sunday night, which was frustrating. The pizza was cooked perfectly well but in the grand scheme of things, it was of middling standard. It was relatively expensive for the level of quality.

It was rather a long wait to get through to someone to place an order, but we held on and spoke to a really helpful lady. It seems the postcode I had been given for my holiday cottage was incorrect, but she knew where I was from my description and found the right postcode. Was so impressed. The delivery was quick and the driver was friendly. The food was hot and well packed. Not the best nachos, but the pizza and chicken were good.

Pizza was OK, tasty enough but nothing special and a bit expensive when compared o Dominos or Pizza Hut. They need to offer a bigger range or deals, especially when the family all want different pizzas 😊

I used pizza planet for the first time last night and after speaking to the helpful and cheerful woman on the phone I was delighted to learn they would deliver to what feels like a rural area outside Kingsbridge which is four miles into the abyss 😁 Ordered a large meat feast so we could compare to the usual big chain pizza houses you’d find in a city and I was not disappointed 😍 Good service over the phone, very quick to my door, delivery driver was pleasant and polite and most importantly bloody good pizza. Not only can I have some of the best Indian food I’ve ever had delivered to my door but I’m now spoiled with pizza that’s right up their with the best!!!!!!! I’ll be needing a loyalty card me thinks 😁

Excellent customer service over the phone , helpful and efficient . However let down by pizzas which were all over cooked and dry . The tuna melt especially . Very disappointed

Good tasty pizza. Lovely young people serving who are a credit to the organisation, articulate and polite - it goes a long way. Four rather than five stars as I felt it was slightly over priced.

Freshly made to order and always piping hot, interesting menu and friendly helpful team. So lucky to have this independent rather than a chain.

Great service. Nicely loaded pizzas with good produce. I am a local and I use them fairly regularly, always efficient. You can pay over the phone and even though sometimes are very busy, they are true to their estimated delivery times. We are lucky to have such businesses in our small little town.

I live locally. Staff are friendly and orders always accurate and timely. Not the finest pizza on the planet (heh) but they do a decent enough job and I continue to use them pretty much weekly.

We ordered our food to find the price had jumped from £25.50 up to £30.30! Apparently we were ordering from an old menu but was the menu which was delivered last time? Then the food was cold and the "combo box" which last time was full this time was half full and £1.50 more expensive? Also last time had a free bottle of fizzy drink but this time costs more but no freebie. Quality of food is rubbish and over half the food is in the bin! Try having a treat with the kids and still end up cooking cos they ate nothing! Thanks for nothing!

really nice pizza delivered quickly and piping hot.only had two large pizzas so have not tried the other food on offer.

We use these guys about 8-10 times a year, so not super regulars, but on this occasion we were a party of 7 dialling in for a home delivery. It was one of those very disorganised ordering processes with people changing their minds a lot and the order being done, redone, and re-re-done. The staff were so patient and understanding, and they ended up getting everything right, delivered within the hour (and we are a bit away from Kingsbridge) and it was pipping hot too.

Having read reviews thought this would be great. Ordered a delivery for 5 of us. Waited over an hour for totally under cooked pizza... Quite sure it had never seen a pizza oven in its life. Totally disgusting and the entire lot has ended up in the bin. I never complain but this was awful.

Spent the day at North sands beach at Salcombe and made the journey to pizza planet for dinner. Well worth the trip, one of the very best pepperoni pizzas I've ever had and trust me, I had a few. Rest of the family had the Hey pesto and again where very impressed. Will defo be back next year when we're down on holiday again.

The pizza was tasty and there was a lot of toppings, but it had a thick base and was quite heavy and filling. It was quite greasy too.But overall a lot of choice and quick service.

We live locally so normally get delivery if feeling lazy. The beauty here is the choice. With dietary restrictions it's easy to order/change options and everyone can get something to suit them. I get gluten-free base vegetarian pizzas and wedges normally - you can get g/f , vegan dip, and even order pizza without the cheese - I always add black olives to my 'veggie works' . Helpful company and a yummy treat.

Most wonderful takeaway pizza I've had to date. The garlic bread was also lovely, and the lattice fries are to die for. Absolutely amazing meal,and for £22 I couldn't fault it at all!

A little expensive but as a treat every now and then it's all good. Base was good and I love the tomato sauce and on my pizza. The only thing that let it down for me was that the topping were not spread to the end he of the base so at the end of a slice it's just dough but other than that it was great that I had on my garlic bread

I have take away pizzas fro Pizza Planet and the service is always very efficient and polite. Nothing is to much trouble and served with a smile. The pizzas are always cooked to perfection and piping hot. The toppings are very generous and tasty. They do a wide choice of pizzas and side orders. There is instructions for rewarming the pizza but there is never any left to do that

We took advantage of their special offer and was amazed at the amount of food we got for £20. We got a huge pizza, drink, garlic bread, combo box that was full of lattice fries, spicy and battered goujons and potato wedges, which represented excellent value. It was delivered hot and within 20 minutes. Highly recommended and will look forward to enjoying this again.

Stopped off late for a couple of pizzas, tucked away but they do deliver, quick service and plenty of topping especially on the goats cheese, olive and sun dried tomato. Not cheap but they don't skimp on ingredients.

Workman round the other half's house so I wasn't able to cook . So popped into Pizza Planet , normally a Domino's man but nearest one is an hour away. Ordered a large Capre Verde and 15 mins later was at home tucking in . Lovely will def use again .

Nothing especial.Not cheap and the pizza is just ok. Still prefer to prepare my own pizza at home or buy it at tesco and add some ingredients.

I have been here many times and the pizza is always first class. No hesitation in recommending even if you are fussy about your pizza!

The pizzas from pizzaplanet are delicious, fresh dough and generous toppings. The staff are friendly despite often being incredibly busy and pizza planet never fails to deliver us top quality food.

Have ordered pizzas from here a couple of times over the last couple of months and am pleased to say that it is as good as it has always been. The service is efficient and delivery one of the best in the area. The pizzas are great. Generous toppings and well cooked. Very tasty, (although the Cajun chicken was on the very hot side even for someone who is a chilli farm addict!). Still some of the best pizzas I have had anywhere and my first choice when in the area.

The food, no doubt was nice however I wasn't so pleased upon the way my partner and I were served. They seemed in rush to get our order over with and out of there despite the fact they didn't seem very busy.
