Was a last minute decision to try these wish I didn't .food Average at best . attitude from staff unbelievable so rude needs lessons in manners go to pizza hut instead food always hot and great staff as well .

Terrible place, wait hours for pre-ordered food, items ordered not available when it finally arrives it's cold, disgusting and quite obviously been sat around for hours! I would be very concerned about food hygrine and safety with this place!

Placed order online got told it was on its way then 20 minutes later got a phone call saying they ran out of cheese that it would extend my delivery by 30 minutes after a hour later called them back and got told it was out for delivery so waited again 45 minutes gone called back the woman who answered said she was going to check on delivery and just left the phone on the counter for 15 minutes then hung up so called back and got told my food has just came out of the oven and will be delivered shortly after waiting another 45 minutes I rung back up and the worker said they ran out of cheese again and I would have to wait an extra hour for my food and or cancel my order so went to cancel my order but they placed it as they have delivered it called the manager and she stated I have to cancel and there is nothing she can do even after telling her what her staff has been saying the whole time I waited do not use this papa johns not worth the hassle

Placed a order at 3pm got a call to say no cheese be 45mins called hour later to be told ovens broken 1hour wait got offered a free brownie said ok waited almost 2hours called back order was out for delivery but she would check left me on the side and forgot to tell me if she found out called back told order just out the oven will be 10mins called back 30mins later to be told we are canceling the order but you have to contact customer service as we don't do refunds. Customer service said you have to wait 3days for the store to confirm this happened or no refund... beyond a joke and the staff shouldn't be able to lie to their customers that many times when the manager herself said she's still not got the cheese so obviously the oven braking was a lie and instead of informing their customers they just left everyone to wait and pray until too late and now saying oh sorry we don't refund and starve 🤣🤣

20 to 40 minutes on app. 1 and half hours later than delivery time still Jo food. App states it's been delivered. call restaurant and they gave me so excuse the app skips ahead if driver is near. Called them out on it. Second excuse the stickers got mixed up and the driver noticed. Why is the driver opening my food?????? Or the restaurant could be honest and say they are data fiddling. When the food arrived it was burnt to a crisp.

We placed an order on the 19th May through the app. The order came to £65 as it was my daughters birthday meal it was supposed to be a special treat. The store contacted us to inform us that £40 worth of our order would not be delivered due to them not having our order in stock. We asked for a refund and were told they would not issue a refund from their store and to contact customer services. After contacting customer services I have still not received any of my money back! Under the consumer rights act 2015 this is totally unacceptable! I will never order from Papa Johns again! The service is the worst I've ever encountered. I feel robbed and disgusted by this experience!

I ordered 2 tubs of ice cream and a cookie. They decided to make the cookie before calling me to say they had no ice cream. I was offered another cookie instead or a soft drink, neither of which come close to the cost of 2 tubs of ice cream. I asked for the order to be cancelled and said they should have called me straight away rather than wait and hope I accepted something of lower value. I cannot believe the order was marked as complete when nothing was delivered. Very poor.

I am not usually a person who puts a negative review, however this has been the 2nd time that I have placed an order for delivery and have found the food to be far from acceptable. On both occasions the crust on the pizza has been burnt (literally)…..surely whoever is taking control of making the pizzas, would clearly see that the crust was burnt, making the pizza inedible….i tried to contact the shop several times but did not get an answer. This has definitely put me off from ordering from Papa Johns again.

Hadn’t used Papa John’s for a few years, so thought I’d give them a try. Ordered via the website which was easy to use. However the food took 1 hour 50 minutes to be delivered. I ordered on a Sunday at 17:45. I called after an hour or so and the operative on the phone was polite and apologetic. Explained there was a lack of delivery drivers this evening and they’d needed to use a third party delivery service. The food arrived 40 minutes later. The pizza it self was as expected however was only just warm and about edible. Was better when I reheated. I liked the garlic dip, however my husband described it as runny garlic butter. Would I use them again? Probably not. But at least I know now.

Food arrived after almost two hours on a Sunday. Food was also cold. They also appear to be cheating the delivery system. They marked my order as delivered an hour after I ordered even though it did not arrive until an hour later, naughty. Just go to dominos.

Worst Papa Johns experience I’ve had. Tater tots turned up cold and extremely under cooked and starchy. Pizza was luke warm at best but you could tell it’d been sat on the hat rack for ages! Worth noting this was all 30 mins late too and they missed out a special garlic dip. Awful

Not the best. Ordered 3 large, a drink and the oreo ball things, cost nearly £50 and definitely was not worth the money. The pizza was tasteless, and oreo balls were really doughy and chewy. Just terrible. Should've just checked £50 in the bin.

They're happy to take your money without actually providing food. If it's busy, fair enough. But if you can't provide the order before you close then the decent thing to do is cancel the order and issue a refund. Instead this branch just closed up for the night and left the order to eventually get around to it at 11:45 in the morning (according to the app). When trying to phone got no response. Previously worked at restuarants like Papa Johns in the past and there is absolutely no excuse. Frankly disgusting.

The order took 2+ hours to arrive from when the order was placed. It arrived very cold. 1 pizza was wrong (ordered bbq base, got tomato & ordered mushroom to be removed with vegan sausage as a replacement but received mushroom and no vegan sausage). To top it off ordered a cookie but got a brownie (again hard as if it had been out for a while). Disappointed. Would have rang to ask for a replacement but was not willing to wait another 2+hours. It was not even a difficult order.. wish I had read all the poor reviews before ordering.

Consistenly takes an hour+ to deliver from this location. Staff admitted on the phone they fudge the status of delivery to meet targets. Waited 2+ hours for it to turn up.

Save your money go else were ordered At 17:08 at 17:55 they ring to say they had no brownies so I asked for something else … at 18:22 I ring up and they wasn’t helpful made excuses we have new staff… that wasn’t what I asked I asked how long will my pizza be as I’ve waiting 1 hour 30 mins!!! She said she could re cook it … refund me or I could collect.. I said I got a broken arm collection isn’t happening I’ll take a refund to what I’m told takes 3-5 days to refund so I ended up getting someone take me to collect… when arrived I waited 2-3 mins to be noticed… no apology no nothing … completely disgusting customer service shocking.. then once Home pizza was of corse cold so wasn’t even worth eating…. keep your free pizza I’ll stick to dominos

1 star is more than generous as they won't let me give zero. Ordered a pizza waited until half hour after it was late to ring up, they hadn't even started preparing it.... waited another hour and rang again , took several attempts to get through to then be offered a refund as I wont be getting my food. So at 9:30 on a Sunday I'm having to find another takeaway that is open just so I can eat. Will not be using these again

Several times I have been let down by this store now, never again, requested money back for the last one and customer service stop responding, according to the tracking my last deliver had been out of the oven half an hour before it left the store and an hour by the time it got to my door, resulting in luke warm at best pizza, almost laughable they pulled it from their "warm bag" do not use if you waant "fresh pizza" better off poping to nearby tesco, they dont deserve the 1 star I am forced to give on google!

Go elsewhere, there’s no need to get frustrated waiting for 2 hrs on a below par pizza. There’s a dominos up the road, go there instead, or buy a frozen one in tesco, by the time you walk there and back and cook it yourself it’ll still be an hour quicker.

Ordered pizza last week took 2hours to deliver freezing cold , ordered another last night didnt even turn up although the app said delivered , cant change to mutley because of postcode have to use woolwell , cant even call to complain as the never answer the phone , service has gone right down hill, not recommended! I ordered pizza for delivery for my birthday. Hadn’t heard anything in two hours and they weren’t answering their phone so we drove over for them to tell us they hadn’t started our order yet. They told me that it would be ready in 15 minutes so we waited. We then popped back into store for them to tell us they didn’t have a lot of what we ordered so they hadn’t even started making it yet. We were offered a refund that we took but never received :( so no refund and no pizza There were lots of other people who seemed to have similar issues while we were waiting

Ordered at 7pm for ASAP and then had to come into the store as the app had not moved in an hour to be told it wasn’t even been made yet and that we would have to wait an extra 20/30 mins for the pizzas to be made. Poor service from a well established company. Should have just gone to domino’s down the road and had a better experience.

Unfortunately the Papa John's near my house closed so had to drive a fair bit to get to the next Papa John's, did the order online in advance didn't had to wait to long for the food, all the time (around10min) I was there the staff were always cleaning around their production area I was impressed with the amount of orders they keeped all cleaned, when got home pizzas were still hot 🤤 and cooked to perfection. highly recommend

Has to be the worst pizza i have ever had the unfortunate experience to try, and I've had the square frozen Farm Foods pizza. If you are lucky enough to get a warm, or dare I even say, a hot pizza, then you would be amongst the fortunate few. I am told, as that has never happened, that the base is still as chewy as a chihuahuas soft chew toy, and as difficult to swallow as a Truss government. You can make a complaint, but you will be advised to use a microwave! But, and this is a positive, it spurred me on to get my own pizza oven and start making my own again.

Shocking service - do not order from Papa Johns Woolwell! We ordered this evening (son’s choice for his birthday) We ordered at 7:01pm which was followed up with a call at 7:05pm to say no chicken poppers, exchanged for chicken wings, fine no drama Staff member told us there was a delay on our order, staff member then corrected themself and said actually wrong customer, there’s no problem App states food out for delivery, and at 8:00pm the app states food is delivered with us and to enjoy our meal. 8:18pm receive a call to say there’s been an issue and we can’t deliver, asked for an explanation, driver has had an accident and cannot get food to you (completely sympathise if someone has had an accident) but staff have absolutely no care in the world, sounds like they do this on a regular basis. Finally explained that the food would be at least another hour estimated delivered 9:30pm. 2.5 hours after ordering. They advised it was probably better just to take a refund. Resulting in driving out to find an alternative takeaway on a Sunday evening which should have been a special ocassion. Absolute joke

Never order from this location. Ordered a pizza at 6pm sharp, the order wasn't even accepted until 6:15, was marked as delivered at 7:10, and actually arrived at 7:45. 35 minutes after it was "officially" delivered. End result: A lukewarm pizza and a bad mood. Not really worth it, just order from pizza hut instead. Better or worse, at least they're on time.

The Pizza was OK, but the staff were appalling. No one has any interest in customer service. I watched my pizza arrive at the collection point, and then waited for 15 minutes. In the end I had to point out that my pizza was ready to pass over the counter. During this time the kitchen and counter area resembled and sounded more like a secondary school playground, rather than a food retailers. When it was eventually handed to me, I received no apology for the wait, in fact the assistant didn't even make eye contact as she carried on gossiping with her colleague. I won't buy here again.

Quite disappointed with my order this time. 4 cheese potato tots came half amount of what came last time and there was almost no cheese on it, not talking about 4 cheeses. And the works pizza tastes of liquorice or toothpaste? Can't even finish a slice of it as it just tastes odd, plus too many olives. The Greek pizza and the garlic cheese sticks at least saved the day.. they were nice as always.

Ordered from here a fair few times. Nearly every time there’s a little issue i.e. wrong dip, long wait for delivery, less toppings than expected, but we usually get over issues like that. But now it’s just getting annoying that it’s basically every time. This time, after we tried to order on the website but it didn’t work the first try then ordering again with a different phone. we got a call that we had to wait an extra hour and a half to come collect because they had run out of a topping we wanted. After a confusing phone call I accepted because we had paid and from previous experience trying to get a refund is impossible as they just say they can’t and offer a free pizza for next time. No offer of any kind of compensation or anything. Then once I went to collect I got there and they had my order made up twice, except the drinks which I had to go back and ask for them myself. Once home we checked our banks to find the first time we ordered had actually gone through with no email, text or confirmation of any sort and to find all the food luke-warm at best, missing a topping from one of them and the wrong dip with the sides. Probably best to order from a different store as I never had these issues with any other when I lived closer to them.

AVOID, unless you want to pay for disappointment of course. Pizzas arrived well over an hour after ordering and they, along with the sides, were cold when we tucked in (apart from the Pepsi which was warm). Not good when it was a birthday takeaway treat for a youngster. There was no point attempting to call the store and try to action the 30 minutes/2 slice guarantee for a replacement, as it was too risky waiting to wait a considerable time for a replacement with hungry children kicking off. This was their dinner. We only used this as a takeaway option because a poorly car stopped us visiting Pizza Hut for a sit down. Stupid car! I'm genuinely disappointed and annoyed, and would not recommend buying pizza from this store based on this experience.

No surprise to see so many 1 star reviews here, this branch have made me switch to dominos despite preferring their menu. After the last 2 attempts at delivery resulted in ridiculous wait times and apology vouchers, I though it might be better if I go and collect..... Wrong. Ordered and was told to come back in 20mins, after leaving it 25mins I was told "its just coming out of the oven" before another 15 minute wait. The benefit of this is that I got to see exactly why this branch is such a shambles, a group of teenage lads with seemingly no supervision. Chatting, having a laugh, discussing who likes N-Dubz, eating out of a box on the side and occasionally making the odd pizza. I got to watch my order which was "just coming out of the oven" get prepared during the extra 15mins wait so obviously honesty is as unpopular here as serving customers is. Don't worry lads I won't interrupt your fun evenings with my orders again, you'll have plenty of time to work out who remembers Dappy

Absolutely horrendous service and expensive. First I got a call 40 mins after I ordered to say they couldn’t do part of my order. So offered an alternative I was annoyed but I excepted it. I asked how long it would be as I have already been waiting 40 mins for the food. He said they were just waiting on a driver and it would be sent straight out. It then took 2 hours and 20 mins and 2 more calls for them to tell us the food hadn’t even left yet. When we complained we got offered a bottle of Pepsi. Not a refund on the delivery, not a partial refund on the food. I was offended a bottle of Pepsi. What an insult. They still didn’t have any clue when the food would be sent out. Or how long the food had been sat on the side waiting for a driver. So more than likely the food was going to be cold and no idea how much longer I would have had been waiting for the food to be delivered. When we asked for a refund we were met with hostility, excuses and bad attitude.

Absolutely appalling experience!! Wish I could give no stars but had to give them 1 to be able to write about it. Waited over 2 hrs only to ring them to find out they had no drivers to deliver the food we had ordered and they had no idea when the order would be delivered either! The reason was they had 3 drivers sick! This may have been avoided by warning people through the app that they would have to wait longer for their food due to driver shortages!

Ordered from here twice recently, first time it took 2 hours to arrive on a Monday early evening second time took 1 1/2 hours to arrive on a Wednesday early evening and was stone cold. I'd give 0 stars if I could, DO NOT USE THIS BRANCH!

ordered 2 med pizzas, 2 starters and a drink. one of the pizzas was missing the sauce and both starters were incorrect. if you ran out of what we ordered then why send BEE STINGS (the spiciest side ever???). absolutely inedible. surely bread sticks or something else would have been more reasonable. not to mention it was 1.5 hours wait for our food and the delivery driver couldn’t even find our house.

I placed a Papa John's order from here after a tough day, and had never used their collection service before. I was relieved to find it was all straightforward, and my order was ready for me when I expected. I was glad to find the quality was the same as their Mutley Plain branch, and everything was just right. A very satisfying order, and we'll be using this service again in the future.

Disgusting behaviour! Went to get a takeaway at 8 pm today . There were about 4 staff in the place , with a hand written note on the door “Closed “ !!! When the staff saw me try the door they all rushed into a side room , I suppose to hide so I couldn’t see them . Don’t know if they had shut to have a crafty drink or smoke , who knows ? One thing for certain there was obviously no manager on duty !!!!!!!

Didn't have papa John's google, went woolwell fish bar but was decent

I ordered a pizza online and collected in person upon my arrival home I got this monstrosity the crust is 2 inches thick with no topping. So I called back and asked for another and the lady on the phone was absolutely horrendous I can’t explain how she treated me. She said “what do you want me to do about it” so I asked for some options. It then became a spat and she treated me in a vile way and she hung the phone up on me. Upon calling back and going above her head to the actual manager with manners he sent another one right away. All it took is someone with half a brain cell to sort it out whoever she is good luck with you disciplinary!

I cannot express how terrible my night at Papa John's Pizza has been. Being a loyal customer for over 4 years and ordering at least 100 pizzas over my course of being a customer, I'm deeply ashamed to be writing this review. First note is customer service, when I picked up my pizza, everything was fine and the customer service of the floor staff was fantastic, though when I got home, I got this monstrosity of a pizza (images below). When we tried getting help with this under my consumer rights and the Papa's Guarantee, the floor manager who was very rude and didn't offer any solutions answered the phone and abruptly hung up on me after not even a minute of deliberation. We then called back up and asked for the store manager, we then got the service we needed and we got an adequate pizza delivered and replaced but this shouldn't have happened none the less and I am afraid I am not going to order from here ever again. cheers lads ♥️

First order was completely wrong. The replacement after an argument took 40 mins and was so greasy with no flavour. Went straight in the bin. Poor service. Poor food. Poor quality Avoid at all costs !!!

To say this lot are useless is an understatement. Every single time I’ve ordered a pizza from here I’ve asked for the Garlic butter dip to be swapped for garlic and herb. I mean who likes that sh*t anyway?!? Every single time they ‘forget’ and it’s a joke. How hard can it be?? It’s happened at least half a dozen times now but on this occasion the pizza was half-cooked really doughy with a few toppings sprinkled in the middle. Fuming.

Two hours now and still no sign of our pizza delivery, Don’t bother I’m guessing it’s going to turn up cold! Terrible service!

Not impressed. Pizza was stone cold and had to be heated up in the microwave as soon as it arrived. There was barely any cheese and the pepperoni was bone dry. The same went for the chicken wings which were cold. Maybe we were the last delivery of the batch but it's not really an excuse when you've paid over 30 quid for a meal. We won't be ordering from here again.

Ordered papa johns last night with a group of friends spent over £60 and waited over an hour for our food. Then we get a phone call telling us that our food was delivered to the wrong address and they will have to remake our whole order and wait another hour... I asked if there was any sort of discount they can do for us as this was abit ridiculous to be passed on to the rudest manager ever, it was a woman and she immediately was blunt and said “well no I can’t do anything as you’ve already used a discount code from the app” okay but that’s there to be used? I meant a discount code for the next time we order... then she proceeded to ask me if I wanted to cancel the order, she asked me this atleast 4 times. Basically she was saying she won’t do anything to apologise to the fact our food was delivered to the wrong person and we had to wait over 2 hours for our food and rudely ended the call.

The new bee sting pizza is lush! Will definitely be back for more. See ya soon papa john.

We didn’t actually order anything this is a review of their staff This event around 8.15 pm I was traveling home with my wife in southway when we encountered a papa johns delivery driver at a roundabout. I don’t thing he could actually ride his chicken chaser as he caused me to slam on my brakes by not reading the road and giving way to the right. His whole attitude was nonchalant and thought it was really clever to ride right on my bumper, weaving around waving his arms like a lunatic. My wife phoned papa johns and didn’t get the expected “hello papa johns”, or words to that effect but just a “yeah?”. Upon speaking to the manager the response was ok I’ll have a word in a very jovial manner Doesn’t really inspire you to visit the place or try them out does it?

I have just been on the wrong end of one of the worst cases of customer service I can remember...DO NOT BUY YOUR PIZZA FROM HERE!. I had ordered over an hour ago and phoned to ask the whereabouts of the pizza, after not getting a satisfactory response from the girl on the phone I asked to speak to the manager. A different girl took the call and firstly was prepared to argue over the exact time I had waited, even though I feel an hour was a long enough wait. When I asked for a refund/compensation I was told bluntly cannot do. When I stated that I may not ever order from here again and that I was recording this call (hoping for a polite and professional response) she didn't care one little bit. She stated that she hoped the call was recorded because I was being difficult (I would love Papa Johns head office to listen to the call)! She then said she could cancel the order and when I said no she tried to belittle me by saying "But I thought you wanted a refund"? Since when are staff trained to make the customer feel this way? The final straw was her putting the phone down on me without stating she was going to end the call. Spent £17 to feel this angry! Please please please use DOMINOS and Pizza Hut!

Worst pizza I've ever tasted, spent 24 pounds on a evening meal which really disappointed me. Went for the original cheese and tomato pizza with bacon and cheese sticks with brownie which was a good size. But eating the pizza was so tasteless and sickening. Had to throw away most of it. Wouldn't recommend!!!! Will Go to dominos in the future.

Think this place needs to think more carefully about the type of people they employ to deliver their pizza as I only ever see their scooters being ridden like idiots. certainly hope it isn't encouraged or even acknowledged by management.

We order from this site at least once a month. However when we had the grandchildren over this week we ordered the 3 pitzas at £33 however after waiting for over 45 mins the driver phoned saying he couldn’t find us. We gave him directions but still he could not get to us, after waiting over an hour we had to cancel the order. Admittedly after phoning the office they did authorise a full refund which will take 3-5 working days this still means I have paid for pitza that did not arrive and have to wait for another week to get my money back. The only reason given is they have new drivers. If I order again from them which I don’t think I will Iwill pay cash on delivery. Very poor customer service no insetive given to catty on using this firm.

The delivery guy was rude to my wife and just thrust the early order to her and played ignorance and walked off and the restaurant never answered the phone. Recommend using the local kebab House instead

Absolutely disgusting food. Me and a friend ordered 1 American hot which wasn’t great but was edible and 1 chicken burger pizza which was the worst decision of my life. The pizza smelt off and tasted really terrible. I don’t know what sauce was used but I wouldn’t feed it to my dog. I then rang up and complained and wasn’t offered a replacement but told I would have to pay for another one. Very poor service, stick to dominoes.

Staff are useless, food quality is poor.

We ordered 2 pizzas and got given the wrong topping on one of them, we ordered bbq chicken and got chicken club.. Called papa and they said they would send another.. Which they did.. Another chicken club.. Really? Called again and they apologised and said I could have a free bottle of coke when they return the correct pizza.. So I anticipate they are gonna get it right this time and a free coke.. Ideal!! Delivery man gets here a free bottle of coke great! Then open the box and to my surprise a half and half pepperoni and chicken club??? I could not understand how they had gone from chicken bbq order to bringing me a wrong chicken club pizza to half of my 1st pizza and half of again the wrong pizza... I will never order again as I gave them another chance tonight and again let down with waiting time, poorly presented pizzas with slices missing topping, not cut properly and apparently you don't get the free pickled chilli anymore either.. Really disappointed as we were only ever used papa johns but really can't stay loyal to the brand when it's consistently at a low low low standard. Pictures below of product.

High street pizza that can offer vegan options. Staff are polite and professional. Despite an error in our order they were quick to apologise and rectify. They also gave us a free jumbo cookie dessert

Deliver driver didn't even have any change on him what so ever so spent 10 minutes looking for bloody change for him. How ridiculous!!

Slow on order however probably down to the phone orders and delivery orders On the whole well worth the wait Always got a special deal on
