Met up with friends on Saturday lunchtime, busy, very helpful Kate found us a dog friendly table even though we hadn’t booked.
We had baguettes/wraps etc, all delicious, freshly prepared & very tasty.
Big shout out to Henry who was unfailingly polite & professional, a real credit to the Seven Stars.
Loved the ambience, would definitely recommend & return, many thanks.
Went for candle making for my friend’s birthday, felt like I had gatecrashed someone’s party! Beautiful room but no where to sit, did the candle making which took 5 minutes and then stood around. Had two drinks, candle costs £35 to make with the vessel.
Clearly there was a large party that’s had booked the full venue, Botox sessions, iv drips and lip fillers were offered?!
Everything was cleared away and our candles still weren’t dry. I thought there was a bar but no, we paid, literally left as it was being packed up and had to find something to do for a hour before picking up our candles whilst guest stayed and drank wine!
Would not recommend, made to feel very uncomfortable.
Payed an extortionate price of £7!!!! (most i have ever payed) for a portion of chips. The ‘manager’ who can’t manage and instead talks about you and how you are a bad customer complained about the amount of ketchup i used 🤦 I would’ve thought at that price i would be entitled to the whole bottle. Safe to say i will not be returning and anyone hoping to have a good experience go to the cafe on the other side of the beach, much better service!!

The food was delicious and generous portions. Staff were super friendly and helpful and the service could not have been better. Outstanding in every way. Highly recommend this independent cafe - full of charm and great value for money. Thank you!
Excellent service, the two lads that served me were kind and friendly. Good choice of vegan options, I was recommended the 'reuben dog' which was 10/10.
Definitely not overpriced as you get what you pay for. Great quality good from vans are few and far between but this was my second visit and I was once again very impressed.
Booked for Sunday Roast, and we weren't disappointed. We were a family of 6 (3 generations), and all thoroughly enjoyed our meals. We pre-booked our meat choices (3 x pork, 2 x chicken, and 1 nut roast) as we were advised that when busy with 'walk-ins', they may run low on some meat. Lovely, friendly place that we've been to numerous times for lunch or coffee/cake, but this was our first Sunday roast, and it won't be our last.
This is a great local place for fish and chips. Owners really friendly. Covid safe measures in place. Fish and chips were really tasty and a good price. Highly recommended.
What a lovely place to spend an afternoon! We were fortunate to be able to sit outside on a lovely sunny day for lunch. The BBQ worked really well and you could easily spend the time ordering nibbles from the menu and drinking copious amounts of Rose
Awful from start to finish. The staff were clueless and the food and drinks were mediocre at a push. Loaded fries were more like semi dusted with topping and straight out of the freezer. The buttermilk chicken burger was more like a mini chicken fillet. When we complained we were met with a staff member who obviously wasn’t trained to deal with complaints as her response was ‘you keep complaining’! I would not recommend this restaurant and I find it strange how they claim to have hundreds of happy customers but only a handful of reviews on TA. Work out what you are. Are you a cocktail bar or a restaurant? May I also suggest that if you are the owner you maybe spend a bit more time working at your own restaurant and also train your staff.
We popped in for lunch whilst visiting Totnes on holiday. Six of us and a dog. Welcomed immediately by the landlord, we enjoyed x6 burgers and chips, more than we’d planned to eat. Generous portions and great friendly service! Definitely recommend.
How can a free house owned by the landlord not make any money this used to be a good pub with a decent beer garden sounds like the owner is not as good as he thinks won’t be going there anymore
