The Rowan Grill in South Hams

Served by a young boy, maybe 6-7 years old, he was very professional and confident. Staff were friendly with happy personalities. That's where the good stuff stopped. I ordered scampi and fries, salt and mayo, no vinegar and a small kebab, no salad. Vinigar on the fries, scampi soggy and not fully cooked (cold inside) and salad on the kebab, the meat which was super dry and tasteless. It all went in the bin as it was to far to go back and complain.

I just had a take away lamb wrap with chips. All freshly cooked and crammed with meat and salad, delicious sauces and a generous portion of chips. Lovely service. Thankyou

Best chicken shish kebab I've had in ages. Bonus points for being the only food place open on a bank holiday in South Brent after 3pm.

Called reasonably late on a Saturday night after our oven had broken. Ordered a 9" and a 14" pizza with toppings + a small chips all takeaway. It came to £35. CASH ONLY. Food was very tasty and filling.

Donner kebab was the best I've tasted in local area. Far superior then ivybridge takeaways. I thought it was on par as the German doner franchise. We'll worth a visit. Five stars from me.

You'll get a great tasting take out pizza from here, a must try in this village.

Roast chicken was a bit too dry and burnt but the sauce made up for it. I ate it all nonetheless. Salad was excellent. Good prices. Nice atmosphere. Some tables to eat in, which is appreciated. Might come back and try the shish kebab. I think the menu has too many items. Less variety and better quality is better.

Still don’t take card!! Take card, pay taxes on what you earn, get more customers.

Went on a 3 day family camp at ashbourne campsite 2 nights cooked and thought we would have a takeaway arrived at the rowan grill and first thing the man behind the till had a stain on his t shirt and his nose dripping with snot. While waiting the blokes wife and the kids were also waiting and shouting. the kids couldn't sit any closer so felt very uncomfortable with them so close and not told to calm. Took pizza back to my partner and kids which was tasteless and could of got a better one from Aldi. Popcorn chicken was overcooked and chicken dry. Worst takeaway experience I've ever had

Very disappointed with our meal last Wenesday. The lamb meat was cold, and the chicken was burnt and dried out. Everything was thrown together with no regard for presentstion. Such a pity as this was ment to be a treat!. Definitely gone down hill since opening.

In the sleepy village of South Brent on the lower edge of Dartmoor is the fantastic Rowan Grill, great service, Pizza, kebab or Burger the choice is fantastic and at a reasonable price, service is always prompt with a smile.

We had not used the Rowan Grill before. So were interested to see what it was like. We had the lamb shish kebab and chicken kebab (with chips too) and have to say they were SO good. Pieces of proper meat with nice sauce (mint on the lamb and BBQ on the chicken) The salad was the freshest I have ever had out and nicely shredded - the pittas and chips we had with it were good too. All in all - very impressed! Well done! We will be back for more.

Arrived to the area late following long drive, not much choice in the area particularly late so stumbled across the Rowan. Ordered pizza, hot, tasty and everything it should of been.

But no you didn't give me many options your only option was next time you will add extra jalapeños so I hung up on you if you offered me my money back then I would have accepted and not left this review not only is your food poor quality but you are also poor quality people who tell lies and have a lot of ignorance wish you all the best..... Ordered £22 worth of food the lamb doner kebab wasnt hot was just slightly warm most of it cold, salad wasn't fresh and called them and they said sometimes it is cold like that is not a answer like how long has that meat been on the side or in a pot for after cutting it off rather then them saying sorry we will replace it they shunned it and was moody on the phone basically they don't care and if they don't care they don't care about their food quality or cleanliness in my opinion...... "DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE" save your money they are ignorant people who work their.

Amazing pizzas, came on holiday from Norfolk and we don’t get pizzas this good from a takeaway place, the staff are so friendly too. Would definitely recommend

Friday night, got home from work, rallied the boiz after hearing from my boss that a new kebab house had popped up. So there we were, 4 boiz cruzin, leather seats, blasting out basement jaxx, life was good... Little did we know it was about to get a whole lot better. Pulled up in the big South Brent town, and wandered into the palace of yum. Sensational smells filling our nostrils and a void in our bellys that needed sustenance. After ordering it took but 10 minutes for a mighty feast to be made, with ample hang space for me and my boiz whilst we waited. Alas the time had come. Clutching the tower of food handed to me we headed back to the whip and began to unfold the meal we had longed for. A truly tantalising combination of flavours. Spices and herbs making sweet sweet love on our tongues in a flurry of passion. Truly one of the best kebabs ever to bless my taste buds. The boiz will be back. Thank you and good night.
