Loddiswell Inn in South Hams

The pub is shut and apparently has been for several months. The local community has plans to buy it and reopen it. But this, apparently, is long term.

Lovely little pub - a good pint and warm fire on a rainy day. WiFi was good too :-)

Brilliant food very cheap and friendly landlord

Nice little pub to stop for a drink whilst out walking, landlord very welcoming and polite. Toilets could do with a bit of a scrub mind, but it was a Sunday, so maybe the cleaner had a day off.

If you enjoy large portions for your Sunday roast this is the place to go. The Sticky Toffee pudding is lovely too! ☺️

Terrible. We booked a table then when we turned up the pub looked tired and dingy. Upon arriving the three members of staff working there ignored us and carried on chatting between themselves at the bar. I went to speak to one of them to say we had a reservation and in reply the woman just vaguely pointed and said "you're in the far corner, if the sun's in your eyes just shut the curtains or something". Given that she obviously knew this was an issue you might have thought they could give us another table seeing as there was literally nobody else in there and no reserved signs on any other tables. We waited a while until someone came over to tell us that there were no pizza bases so pizza was off the menu. Unfortunately that was one of the main reasons we came as it was meant to be a pizza night treat for the kids. We ended up deciding to move on to another place rather than stay in the dingy, grubby pub with ignorant staff.

Friendly Staff bit food was disappointing asked for well done steak but wasn't also lot of gristle still dog had most of it

Had take outs and sat outside for a pint. Beer was very fresh and well looked after. New owners doing a great job

Proper locals pub, landlord was just about to change so will have to revisit, staff welcoming and food was as you’d expect.

Sunday 8th Dec 2019 fabulous Sunday lunch roast with amazing gravy, dessert of bread and butter pudding wonderful. Well done Andrea and team. Great to have the village pub back, recommended to book 😀

We got a warm welcome and a nice pint of beer. The new owners say they will start doing food on the first of May. I expect it will be good.

Devon village pub - limited but reasonably priced food

Definitely not a gastropub ! Good honest pub grub, chips with almost every dish. Got impression the staff were not too bothered but that may be me.

Cute pub and excepts dogs. They are strict on closing times and meals so check times. Great value for money for meals.

Great home cooked food. Fish & Chip Friday leaves everyone else standing and the Takeaway Pizza is the best in the area! Heron Valley cider :-)

A really good traditional English pub. We ate on a Thursday night which was half price steak night proving very good value for money. The food and service was very nice and we were made to feel very welcome. It supplies simple yet tasty take away food for very reasonable prices too.
