Had a great Homemade Pizza and cheese fries while at the club watching the grand national I must say food was very good but the fries were exceptional. Food is now done in partnership with Bushells and service was fantastic from Sarah and of course our resident barnan Phil. Only recently become a member but well worth it with discount food and 15% off drinks which makes it all excellent value. Don’t just take my word for it give it a try.

A fantastic view of the river dart but staff are hideously rude. No food being served. What a waste of space. This place could be a gem in dartmouth but instead it’s a morbid place which we would never wish to visit again.

Popped in to the yacht club last week and had a lovely, reasonably priced lunch. As it’s on the riverfront it has great views and is light and spacious. The barman was really friendly too - a New Zealander who had lived in Dartmouth for years. He gave me some great tips on things to see and do.

Not 100% sure this is the right place, as we were at the RDYC, right on the waters edge. A great location, but you might need a jumper in the evening if outside. It lost a mark as the fish cakes were a little over done and a little too crispy! All the other 5 meals in the group were great. Good selection of wines, and local beer. Good attentive service.

Post Covid and a long time hiring a new chef the Club has now got it together for the start of the season. Chef Richard has created a new menu and we tested it last night. There is a different daytime to evening menu. The Soup du Poisson was excellent, as were the green lip mussels. We also tried the confit duck with tomato, chorizo and butterbeans - really tasty. Everyone else had the seafood pancake gratin and raved about it. Sorry, no photos, too busy eating! We ate in the Gunroom but you can also eat in the bar or outside across the road. Great posing area for just a drink.

We had a late lunch at the Dartmouth Yacht Club as it was difficult to find anywhere else with seating available. I ordered Chicken Caesar salad but they had sold out of chicken so I agreed to have Goats Cheese Salad. Many of the salad leaves were going rotten and the salad looked as though it had been prepared the previous day as the ingredients were showing their age. The Goats cheese was almost liquid and not very pleasant. They’re obviously catering for day trippers.

My mother in law and father-in-law invited me and the kids to Dartmouth for a weekend. I hadn’t been in many years so was looking forward to it very much, unfortunately it did rain which was a little bit sad as we could not enjoy our walk fully. We came across the Dartmouth yacht club which let us in even though we were not members. We were greeted by a lovely little blonde lady who explained that she had a menu one of crab sandwiches. The atmosphere was very friendly and welcoming and the bar staff were very funny and chatty. My mother in law and father-in-law invited me and the kids to Dartmouth for a weekend. Myself and a friend popped in for dinner on Wednesday 22nd July. It was a nice evening so we sat outside on the embankment enjoying the lovely view. The tables were squeezed in together and clearly did not conform to the 1 metre plus restrictions however there were a couple of free tables so that was not an issue. After ordering dinner the food arrived quite quickly. I ordered a burger at £15.50 which was tasty. The chips were a bit over done but it was generally a nice plate of food. My friend ordered the "Locally Sourced Seafood Linguine" at £14.95. Which was a huge disappointment. The pasta was tasteless and the only seafood in it was small chunks of crayfish. We were dining in a yacht club looking at the sea and that was what had been served! I spoke to waitress and explained the issue and asked if our complaint could be passed onto management or the chef. She said she would speak to the chef and left. 20 minutes later we were getting ready to leave and the same waitress was nearby. I got her attention and asked if our complaint had been passed on? She just said she had not had time to speak to anyone! It was all very disappointing and soured the whole evening. The linguine dish had no flavour or thought in its preparation. I would be embarrassed to serve it to friends. I have no idea how a chef could serve it to a paying guest. We will not be returning.

Corrected me with lemonade and lime!Asked if their was a bowl of water available for the dogs. Again grunted “Tap water” I said yes could I have some please. Threw his eyes to the corner with “bowl over there”Disabled husband and asked for directions to the toilets. He was very sarcastic as he replied. Who does this man think he is? Would never return and would never recommend. If you’re front of house or in a customer service position maybe the basic requirements are manners and a polite manner. This guy had neither!!!

we were looking for somewhere to eat in Dartmouth, which we know quite well having owned a greengrocers there in times past when we hit upon the DYC as it is known by chance. We hadn't realised that members of the public were welcome. Upstairs we went and what a lovely location. We had a window seat with one of the best views anywhere..no-one else was in, so we had plenty of time for a chat with the very friendly manager...he made us very welcome indeed. The food was absolutely great, we were only after something light so had sandwiches, but what sandwiches! Couldn't have been nicer. We can't wait to return, and the evening menu looks very good indeed. We also found out what a bargain membership of the club is and may well join.....

I loved this pub. We walked from Salcombe and it was well worth it (don't worry, you can drive there too). It had the feel of a genuine pub with some good beers that happened to do great food also. I had possibly the best burger I have had in a long time and my wife had a fantastic steak sandwich. Both were freshly prepared scratch. They have vegan options too. I notice some negative reviews, mostly due to poor service. We arrived at 12 noon on a weekday in October. Even so, the place was full by the time we left, so it is clearly a popular place. The service we experienced was without fault. I hope our experience is the norm.

Great late lunch with family, biggest haddock I have ever seen. Had that locally caught ling, calamri and my wife just cheesy chips. All with crispy fresh batter, chips golden but soft inside. Even cheesy chips were top, 1/2 chips, then cheese, more chips and topping of more cheese. All top quality, even the ice cream and with nice pints of Otter, bitter & ale on tap. Great way to end off long walk on the beach. You won’t be disappointed..
