The Creeks End Inn in South Hams

This place doesn't look much from the outside but it's a little gem. Great location, friendly staff and the best crab sandwich I've had in a long time.

I have been coming here on visits to the area for many years, especially for Sunday lunches and the brilliant carvery/roast The food has always been good and the pub busy in and out of season. Tried this time and I don't know what's happened - Sunday lunch the pub was virtually empty. I understand why there might be a more limited menu but it's not the pub I knew. It looked like a reasonable basic pub menu but for the first time in over 25 years we decided not to stay and find out

We had drinks sitting outside the bar. We observed the tables being cleaned between guests. The staff were very efficient and we received our drinks quickly.

Times are tough for restauranteurs, but they couldtake some tips from the Creeks End.Our first night in Kingsbridge, and everywhere was either full or shut. We got to the pub and immediately the manager said they were full, but if we cared to wait for about 20 minutes a table would be available. He was spot on.Service from his staff was impeccable, swift but not hurried, polite and attentive. Unfortunately not every one of its competition could show the same levels of customer service....

Perfect lunch today, well done to Terry and all the staff through difficult times. See you all in November

Did not expect to wait 90 minutes for our order , 2 burgers 2 sandwiches, did not expect that after 90 minutes to be asking when will we be getting food , and then after asking for our payment to be refunded to hear a member of staff saying no no to our waitress no refund , we did get ten pounds back and we did receive our order after 90 minutes, if you cannot provide food orders in a reasonable time close your kitchen We were told at the time of our ordering that there would be a 45 minute wait not 90Shame as the food looked ok

The Creek is in a great location on the square in Kingsbridge, when the various events are taking place on the square it's a prime place to be.There is various standard pub options available here of varying quality. Some of the dishes are basic yet charge quite high prices for what they are. Then there are the less standard but tasty options with a slightly higher price.I guess the point is that the Creek is a little hit and miss. Very few of the staff are personable and friendly and just 'do their job'. This wouldn't necessarily be an issue but when everywhere is fighting for trade post covid - service will be the win out every time. If you want a nice pint in the middle of town then the Creek is great.If you want a basic meal and happy to pay slightly inflated prices then the Creek is fine.If you're looking for a decent meal out for an occasion then there is better locally

We have being coming to the area oh holiday for six years now. The Creaks End Inn has always been a favourite of ours being the we stay in the area. Standards of service and food have always been good. This year things have changed in that the service level has dropped off and the selection on the menu has often not been available. The one saving grace and remaining factor is the landlord. COVID has obviously had its impact. There are a lot of new staff front of house and they have lost some key kitchen staff. As a result they regularly have a reduced menu. Tables are not cleared as quickly as they should be and you can be left waiting to be served.

First time I visited here for toast and coffee.The coffee came in.the smallest cup and was cold.The toast was value bread and it came up to 6 pounds such a rip off felt ripped off.Anyway I will never visit again also I struggled getting my coffee to a table with my pram terrible customer service also.

Minimal choice on breakfast menu, and then a long long wait, meant that this wasn't the most enjoyable breakfast out. Disappointing.

Lovely vegan garlic mushrooms but wish there were more vegan options. Sitting outside was horrendous due to the disgusting smokers with their cancer causing cigarettes puffing away infecting our air space. Why are they allowed to do that when we just wanted to enjoy the fresh air and our food! This ruined the experience and we feel it’s about time smokers were told to go off premises if they want to polite the air and food of other customers. Loved the garlic vegan mushrooms. Can you do more vegan options please. Thanks.Ps… bit stingy on the chips!!! Especially as we said one large portion to share.

Visited with 2 hungry kids - only sandwiches available despite others eating full meals. Staff were having an argument over the bar, 1 dark haired girl was In particularly rude - shouting at other staff and giving me dirty glances. Food came - sandwiches were dry with soggy ingredients - left majority of it - with frightened kids because of the arguing! Cost me £40 for that privilege -AVOID AVOID AVOID

We booked a table for 2pm today. The restaurant was relatively empty (most customers outside than in) but we were right opposite the chefs window. We got our drinks fairly promptly after ordering at the bar but that was the last time we saw any service. Having waited over an hour for the food orders which ended up never coming through. The manager did come over towards the end to ensure us the food was on it’s way but to no avail 15 minutes later. We then upped and left after claiming our refund. Hopefully this was a one off but for a booking you’d expect more time devoted to the table, being right next to the bar, food window and all.

Have popped in here a few times during our trip as it’s always got a table and the staff are great! The food is nice (but wouldn’t book, say, a special occasion here). It’s easily accessible and a nice atmosphere. The wait for food is definitely longer in the evening but every table was taken at this point so this was expected

Visited a number of times during our visit to Kingsbridge. The staff were lovely and the local ales and beer was excellent. We only had drinks so cannot comment on the food quality but would definitely recommend for drinks.

Had lunch here. Fish and chips. Fish was great but pretty sure the chips were oven chips!Service was poor. Welcomed and seated promptly but after that very slow. Bit of advice. If you have a queue of people waiting to be seated and no vacant tables then it is worthwhile paying attention to those wanting to pay their bills and vacate their tables. Then you will create space for new customers.

Having booked a table as it was Fathers Day and we thought it would be busy we turned up at ten to one and were sent to the back of the queue behind people who were just turning up on spec. We were shown to an inside table and after 25 minutes one of our party went to see if anyone was coming to serve us. We still had not even been offered a drink. A member of staff then came and told us there would be at least an hour wait for food!! Having come from Taunton to visit family who are on holiday here we were very disappointed not to get our lunch and ended up having to eat sandwiches from the coop! Not very satisfactory at all.

We booked a table as it was Father’s Day for 1 o clock, arrived and was told we had to go to the back of the queue behind people that hadn’t booked. (The queue was between tables of people eating already so no distancing there. ) When we eventually got in one of our party had to ask whether the server was coming after 25 minutes sitting at the table. When they finally came to take order we told there was at least an hours wait despite booking, surely we would be a priority. Ended up getting sandwiches from the co-op because nothing else had room.

Horrendous customer serviceWas offered a table, only to be asked to give up that table to the people in front of me as their table was reserved (I did so without kicking up a fuss). When I asked if the people behind me were to be asked to give up their table to me. I was told they weren’t going to kick them off a table (after they just did that to me). One rule for me and one rule for other customers. When I complained, they just said “that’s just the luck of draw”. Total lack of consistency and logic in their approach to how they allocate tables.

Nice crab sandwich and best fish finger sandwich ever. Great place for lunch and a pint. Will be back.

So we turned up in Kingsbridge and checked this restaurant on Trip Advisor so thought we would give it a go. Now I will say that the waiter was very polite, my son also loved the fish and chips but that is pretty much where it ends. So it was 35 minutes after ordering that our starters came, the waiter apologised and said it was because they only had one chef tonight. Ok we thought, although when we walked in we only saw one other table without food and there was only 5 or 6 tables occupied throughout. Food was ok so far, prawns were juicy although the menu said 'chilli' prawns ... there was no chilli in the prawns! It was another 40 minutes before our main meals came, two rib eyes steak cooked medium rare.. not! How about two very thin bits of meat which was cooked (and tasted) like a bit of over cooked liver.It's been a long time since I have been served a steak so bad and for £18.95 each you sort of expected a reasonably good piece of meet. To top it off not even a discount on the remaining parts of the meal until I asked and then a tiny 10%. Now for the rip off, 9.60 for a large glass of red, really? Say no more, we will be voting with our feet and not going back.I'm not one to post on trip advisor so the fact that I complained and have spent the time writing this really is a testament to how bad it was.

Creeks End to the rescue... the place we wanted to eat at was closed so I rang to check the Inn was open and made a booking. We really needed our lunch as it was 3pm by the time we got to the pub. Lovely fish and chips and great service. You can sit inside or out under a marquee, the inside of the pub looks to have been recently updated and all the necessary Covid measures in place.

Popped in here for an evening meal with the family this evening. It was well laid out from a social distancing/COVID point of view with widely spaced tables etc.Service from our waitress, Freyja (?), was excellent and she was helpful regarding a food intolerance.All the food was well cooked and delicious.Local restaurants are having such a tough time right now, but this is definitely one you’ll enjoy and feel safe visiting.

They do a lovely selection for breakfast. Very friendly staff and manager. Recommend the full English. Also sausage bap.

visited on Monday very service , delightful food. The owner took an interest in the customers and the young woman who served us was very good. Will definitely be going back for more. My wife is disabled as well and very wheelchair friendly

Very impressed with the service given to our table of 4 for breakfast yesterday. Firstly we arrived after 11am which is when breakfast stops, it was literally no bother to the team to serve us what we wanted. They made us feel very welcome and nothing was every too big or too small for them. They made us feel very covid safe also. The food was delicious too! Thank you and we will 100% return. Thank you

Really nice bacon bap in a great friendly place with a great selection of ale.. limited seating but due to the current climate stall are doing a excellent job. My new Saturday morning treat!

Friendly welcome great food - you need try this place ! Even with Covid staff Brilliant and very helpful with a smile even with a mask on. I would suggest the creamy garlic mushroom starter had my mouth watering and tasted amazing. Burgers fresh and tasted amazing. Don’t miss out great place and book a table in or out perfect place.

Dropped in here for Sunday lunch and we were not disappointed, even though they were very busy we were seated quite quickly and given menus, we knew we want a roast dinner but there was only one choice of meat, roast beef, which came after a short wait, well cooked, nice quality and plenty of it.Would definitely eat here again if in the area.

Freshest fish and crispiest batter ever! Great menu and friendly service. Highly recommended and will come back again.

We stayed in Kingsbridge for a week and visited The Creeks End twice for food. The food is delicious and well presented. The staff are all friendly and helpful. The menu is smaller than on are previous visits to Kingsbridge which is understandable at these times. Tables are spread out well and there is hand sanitiser by the door. We all sat outside for drinks a number of times and the tables were cleaned well before anyone could sit down. This is a lovely central pub and we highly recommend. We will definitely be returning.

We were in Kingsbridge looking for somewhere to have breakfast on a Sunday morning! Despite the large banner across the high street saying Kingsbridge Is Open - it was not! Well not on a Sunday morning anyway. However, The Creeks End was open and we were shown to an outside table straight away. I had Full English with tea and my other half had toasted tea cake with coffee. All arrived very quickly and was really good. Goof and friendly service. Great place for breakfast - would recommend and would go there again.

Fab staff , awesome Breakfast. Got seated straight away on a lovely table outside which was nice. All the staff had masks on too and had the COVID secure nailed on very well. Will definitely be back again for a pint :)

Booked a table here 2 weeks prior. Ordered drinks, drink order was taken wrong. This was quickly changed (only thing that was quick). We then sat waiting while no one came to take our food order. In this time we had drank our drinks. We had to ask someone to take our food order. This was when we was asked if anyone had told us it was a 45 min wait for food. In which we replied no. Ordered our food, in which he came back a few minutes later to notify us that what I had ordered was no longer available. We made the decision to cancel our order, pay for drinks and leave. Customer service extremely poor, it is not difficult as soon as you are taken to your table to be notified about waiting times and any dishes not available! Disappointed!

This is a local pub for us. The food is always good. It is good pub grub. The staff are always friendly and the beer is always cold. There is a good outside area which is lovely in the summer.

The food was lovely and considering it was an eat out to help out day we managed to ring and get a table straight away. Also The staff were Accommodating when we asked to move inside as it looked like it was about to rain. The only downside was that the food was quite slow to come out of the kitchen, I think they were struggling with the amount of tables.

Today we went to Kingsbridge for some lunch, it's been very hot (27') and the staff were extremely hot having to wear a mask. They were run ragged but still managed to remain friendly and helpful. Matthew, went above and beyond and seated us inside as there were a lot of wasps. The landlord was also very friendly. We have been going there for a few years now and it just gets better and better. 100% guys, recommend this place every time x

Called in at The Creeks End Inn for drinks and dinner. The service was terrible. They are set up for ‘table service only’ but do not attend to the tables. We had to frequently go in to ask for a waiter to come attend the table. We asked for menus to order food, but were left with the menus with no one coming to take the order. Eventually we have up and left. It’s a shame because the venue is good and the food looked good, just let down by terrible service and staff that looked like you we’re inconveniencing them by trying to spend money there. What a shame.

We visited this pub twice during our stay at Parkland campsite. The first occasion we cycled and popped in for drinks, we sat outside and were able to put our bikes nearby although there is not much room. The service was very pleasant, one of the members of staff noticed out bikes and was obviously a very keen cyclist himself and gave us loads of tips on cycle routes we could do.The second visit was for lunch, we sat inside, one way system around the pub, all the distancing and sanitizing was in place, all tables inside and out are sanitized before you can sit down. You do need to wait to be seated so the staff can do this, although we did see quite a few people disregarding this which is frustrating for the staff as they are trying to ensure everyone's safety. The food, well we were all very easy Crab sandwiches, OMG they were amazing and very generously filled with crab. We noticed other plates coming out and they looked equally as good.I would definitely recommend a visit if you are in the area.

Really liked it here - the welcome, the careful but unobtrusive way they dealt with the covid restrictions and the diversity of customers. Food was brilliant - they don't rely on overly fancy presentation just great food. We had the crab salad which is essentially a crab on top of lettuce with a hunk of bread. But it was absolutely delicious. The fish and chips was spot on. A lovely evening - liked it so much we came back for lunch the next day.

Just overall not good. Manager who spoke loudly and badly towards the staff, dry scones in our cream tea and we were asked to pay halfway through our meal. Just rubbish. Will not be returning.

Really lovely lunch - just wanted an easy family lunch as we were passing through. The service was great - all the staff were so friendly and helpful. The food was great too - we ordered a ploughman’s, ham egg & chips, hot dog and a club sandwich with halloumi chips and calamari on the side - all large portions and tasty!

Went into the Creekside for some lunch this afternoon, came from Dartmouth as it was too busy there, walked in and found a table easily as it was barely half full,but then staff eagerly told us it was an hour wait for food!! If they were struggling this much at half capacity what do they do when it's full of people? What a joke! Sign of bad staff or bad management a restaurant or even a pub should be able to comfortably serve a full house..if not get rid of some table and chairs

Me and my friend visited today two hours before we started work elsewhere. We were told when we ordered the food would be a 20 min wait (two dishes and garlic bread) which seemed perfectly acceptable. However after 45 mins of no food, I asked a member of staff where our food was. Our food was brought hastily over to us. My friend had the ribs/chicken platter and I had the duck stir fry. Both were extremely disappointing, everything overcooked, stir fry was overcooked spaghetti with peppers. & Everything was SO OILY! Kind gentleman (we think it was manager) apologised and offered us free drinks and a discount on food. Such a shame about our experience today as we have been before and enjoyed it but after today won’t be returning

This quayside restaurant offers good food, good service and great value. Unpretentious with a warm and friendly atmosphere.

Had a midday lunch here for 2 yesterday (mid Oct)Both had Gammon Steaks, it was very tasty and was great value for money Owner confirmed afterwards.. he always try’s to buy local.. and that the gammon steaks came from the local butcher.. what could be better than that!!

If you want a pint in a good location and just chill then this is the place.Food wise, it’s OK. The prices sadly do not lack the prices nor does the service.We ordered 2 chicken skewers but asked for chips instead of rice. We were also told this came with salad. This was £11.95When it arrived we got half a pitta, 2 small skewers and a bowl of chips (that were charged at £3.20 extra) and the meanest side salad I’ve even seen. The taste was lovely however but we did feel ‘ripped off slightly’.A shame because it’s actually a great place for a drink.

Relaxing atmosphere in a nice setting.Food and beverages very good.A nice place to enjoy a good pint and some tasty bar meals. A little on the noisy side but I suppose that depends on the time of day. We ate at about 6.00pm, so I suppose a lot of local people were finishing work and popping in for a pint and chat with their friends.I had beer battered cod with chips and my wife had a grilled chicken breast on a sweet risotto. Good quantities and very tasty.

It is situated perfectly for the car park and obviously gets busy. Seems to have a mixture of locals and holiday makers but everyone seemed comfortable in the space including the dogs. Menu choices were good with breakfast served until late along side the main menu. The 3 dishes we had lacked a bit of quality but were ok. As we were there early it seemed to be the 1st crab sandwich of the day so ended up with bread that was stale on one side.

Had breakfast served here with efficient and friendly staff. The breakfast was excellent, no grease in sight and excellent sausages. Reasonably priced too. Will definitely try a lunch or supper later on in the week.

Friendly staff, good food, wide choice of beers and ciders. Food ranges from pannini's to fresh salmon. Crab linguini was a popular dish around our table.

Ate here twice with my girlfriend, breakfast the first time where i had the sausage and egg sandwich and the 2nd time was a cream tea. Both times the food was lovely and the service was fantastic. the cream tea was one of the nicest ive had and for the price was amazing, they could probably get away with charging more purely for the location alone ! the staff seemed extremely friendly and i apologies for not getting names but there was a young lad on the afternoon of 26th who really made sure we had everything we needed to be happy with our cream tea. I haven't tried any of their main meals etc but I will definitely be returning here the next time I visit Kingsbridge!

My family and I ate twice over the course of 3 days. It would of been more, but unfortunately our holiday came to an end. And we only discovered this wonderful pub during our last few days.

What a fantastic pub - it’s very British but has a continental feel to it. Staff and punters are all very friendly and it’s a great spot to have a few beers and watch the world pass you by

Had excellent meal - fish pie and pie of the day. V hot and tasty. Great end to a great day. Good atmosphere.

Quick service, the ability to bring your dog (always a bonus). Friendly and courteous staff. A mixture of locals and tourists. A varied pub menu, with all the usual favourites. Restaurant is quite clean, with plenty of seating inside or out if preferred. I have never been disappointed with the food here and found the pricing very reasonable for the area. Service is quite quick. My only criticism is that I found the drinks on tap a little watered down. I would recommend using this pub resturant on quieter week nights, that is just my own personal preference as it can get quite busy. Nearby paid public parking is a bonus, although the carpark is sometimes commandeered by local events. There are some hidden away carparks just around the corner, down from the cooperative petrol station.

We only had breakfast which they start serving at 9am. We didn’t particularly enjoy it. It was ok nothing more. Coffee was lovely but quite small cups for £2 each.

As a pub that hosts regular live music, this is not a venue any artist should deal with. They regularly let bands down at the last minute and appear to have no discernible diary system. This pub has scant regard for the impact they have on artists when they cancel last minute or in some cases, even allow artists to turn up on the night only to be sent away again. Avoid these numpties like the plague.

Lovely friendly place with great food, happy atmosphere, locals are welcoming and helpful. Staff friendly and organised. Food was gorgeous and a great price. Will definitely be returning. Little gem

We attended my friends wedding in June. Terry and his team were amazing. The food was delicious, very good portions, drinks were very well priced. The atmosphere and the mood of the place and staff were very uplifting and felt very welcome. Nothing was too much trouble. Look forward to going back for a yummy meal with the bridal party :-)

We attended a wedding party at the creeks end in June and the food was amazing and really big portions.

We first thought this was a cafe/restaurant then realised it was a bar. We had missed lunchtime but wanted a drink and a snack so got a beer and crab sandwiches. The service was friendly and the sandwiches were better than those we had in Salcombe yesterday (and cheaper!). I would have rated this place average but the sandwiches were excellent.

Welcoming & Cheerful service at Creekside inn. A wide selection of choice on the specials board & menu. Worth the wait for the fresh plaice and ribs & cajun chicken meals .the Devon scone with tea was also scrummy . Tribute ale on draught & stowford cider. Fresh flowers in ladies toilets a nice touch .

We called in for lunch here and were pleasantly surprised, the food and service were excellent, reasonably priced too.

Stopped here for morning coffee. Very attentive older chap on. Coffee late was fine. The morni g was sunning and we would have liked to sit out on the benches but there were so many smokers out there, which rather spoilt it. Probably locals who keep the trade going.

we were visiting Kingsbridge, and had a meal at this place, I ordered madras curry and popadoms,, we waited about half an hour for my food (it was not busy), when it came there were no popdoms I waited for a minuete but did not arraive so wenr to the bar to ask for them , they appolgised and said there coming , I waited another ten minutes, by then my food was cold, they came , but when itasted the curry it was just chunks of cooked beef in some chopped tomatoes and hot chilly taste, no curry flavour at all, we would not recommend , staff were chatting amongst themselves, not interested, in what we had to say,

Came to the creeks end a week ago for lunch with the mrs! Ordered a couple of burgers with a few extras. We had been told there was a 20/25 minute wait, which we weren’t bothered by as we always use the creeks and know it can be busy. We waited 45 minutes and eventually got our food. The chips for my burger were cold and cooked about 3 times making them hollow and greasy, not only that the burger bun was cremated. As I’d payed £30 and waited nearly an hour for 2 burgers to both come out so inconsistent and tasteless we were very disappointed. We weren’t looking for a refund or anything as such. We were dealt with immediately which was the only good thing about this trip to the creeks end. The returned burger was now cold as were the chips. We will only use the creeks end for drinks now. Hopefully this picture will help you understand why.

After waiting 40 minutes for two burgers, we enquired about our order. The response was ‘we’re super busy...’ and our food would be another 20 minutes! At least the manager came out to apologise and told us we’d been overlooked. We accepted a refund as we didn’t want to wait any longer. But not very impressed. It was a Tuesday lunchtime, hardly a busy time of the week!

We usually visit the Creeks End every time we come to Kingsbridge and go on a Sunday to have the Carvery. Sadly today they weren't having the Carvery and we were so disappointed. Please bring it back, it seemed an ideal time as it is Bank Holiday weekend. Whilst we had a nice meal there for lunch several other people came in for the Carvery and were also disappointed.

My wife and I dropped in here for a beer after lunch at the Crabshell Inn, thought we would try somewhere else in Kingsbridge. It was serviceable, but a bit quiet, just had the 1 drink and felt time to move on. Looks nice from outside but a bit dated inside.

We dropped in here for Breakfast on Saturday morning.

If you can remember that this is a pub and not a restaurant or a cafe then you'll be fine. Good food, reasonable prices, great beer, really friendly staff (especially the manager who is ALWAYS happy), great atmosphere, clean, live music, and safe for everyone. This is definitely a family pub that I'd visit again.

My wife and I decided to get a drink after an amazing meal at Twenty Seven in Kingsbridge. It was later in the evening and it just seemed like it was a gathering point for the young ones.

I will start by saying what an absolute state the eating areas were in. I sat at a table with my 5 month old and I physically had to wipe the table down with a wet wipe before I would allow my son touch it. It was covered in crumbs and greasy smears. I ordered at the bar, from a curt gentleman. The owner. Customer service way below standards, despite being the owner. You would’ve thought being an owner customer service would be his priority. I ordered breakfast, which is a build your own set up. I ordered sausage, egg, hash brown, beans and toast. What I was presented with was fatty bacon, a hard fried egg, a few beans, a soggy hash brown, and toast with no butter. I asked for orange squash to drink, and what I was presented with was water with a pint of tap water with a dash of squash in it, with a slice of orange that looked past its best, and a soggy paper straw. This isn’t the first time I’ve been disappointed in this establishment and after this incident I will not be returning.

Dropped in while on holiday down here. Omelette excellent and mixed grill pretty good. Will definitely go again.

Been here many times and the food is always good, we receive a warm welcome for ourselves and our dog. It is a must visit every time we holiday in Devon. Service is prompt but not rushed

Warm sunny day (February !) with lots sitting outside and very few inside for what is a very big pub.St Austell Tribute £3.80 and Wild Blonde the same. Both in perfect condition and at the right temperature. Big plate of beef stew from the specials board (£9.95) was excellent value and came with two hearty slices of bread and butter.My colleague had an enormous BLT sandwich (£5.95) overflowing with bacon.

Nice atmosphere, food, drinks and music. Easy quick food, however great when live music is on as the atmosphere brings the place to life.

Went in to the creeks end a few times on my holiday with my family last week. Lovely food lovely staff only down fall was the people out side with the six ton of kids running around and Push chairs every where swearing and shouting. It’s like a social club outside then you walk in and it’s amazing how different it gets. Will visit again. Hopefully without the mob outside

Creeks end offers a range of basic, 'off the peg' food that is adequate but no with a 'wow' factor. It's prices reflect that and so appeal to other pockets.

Went in for a quick drink as this place is dog friendly which is always a bonus. The drinks were lovely, however the food looked a bit more basic.. haven't actually eaten here so can't comment on taste, just from what I saw whilst sat in there. Good extensive menu and good prices

We visited for late lunch as a family (two kids under 10) and had a very nice meal. The welcome was very friendly and the food was delicious, the kids particularly liked the chicken nuggets which were whole pieces of chicken, and for the adults the crab sandwiches were the best we'd had in years (my wife is a connoisseur of the crab sandwich!)

A relaxed pub, all ages welcomed, good food, not expensive, good variety of drinks, plenty of seating. Kids menu.....

Another great pub that I have frequented for many years in Devon whenever I visit family there. Prices decent, food decent, staff good, nice and clean. Highly recommended.

Went for lunch as I was in Kingsbridge and the food was great. Service was definitely with a smile. Will definitely go again when in the area.

Excellent range of food on the menu. Our favourites being the Sunday carvery, Vegetarian burger and Fish n chips. Puddings also excellent if you have room. A firm favourite on every visit to Kingsbridge.

Haven't been out in a while. It's always great to go back and relax with a drink at the creeks End, friendly!

An autumn update on my Summer review, still very good. This was a Saturday night grabbed meal on our way past. The place was busy and full of friendly chatter. The fish was excellent, freshly battered and fried, good crispy batter. We left just as the band were starting up, a lively friendly place. Worth a visit.

I come in here quite often - it’s a very lovely place that’s laidback and homey. The drinks are good, the food is good, the bartenders are friendly. It’s a lovely place to go and it’s somewhere to chill out. The drinks can be pretty expensive, sometimes the soft drinks are pricier than the alcohol, but other than that it’s a great place! Definitely go!

We visited this place earlier in the year having had a dreadful experience there and felt after month or two when we had another week in the area and following their managers on-line platitudes we would give it another go - what a mistake this turned out to be. The staff just seem completely detached and disinterested but have to say not as rude as last time, the levels of cleanliness looked poor and if we were honest the whole place looks like it needed a good old scrub up. We wont visit a third time for sure but love Kingsbridge to bits.

I've been here several times for drinks but on this occasion, ate here with my visiting family. We sat outside in the sun and were served our lunch in good time. Our meals were really nice and the portion size was good. They always have decent ales on tap and the staff are always friendly and helpful.

Sunday lunch was a carvery offering a good choice of meats, plus splendid range of vegetables. You can sit inside or out to your heart's (and stomach's) content.

We visited three times in one week while in Devon on holiday. Our first visit was for dinner which did not disappoint. We were informed that there was around a 30 minute wait for food which really didn't seem that long to wait. We opted for the fish and chips, poached smoked haddock with mashed potato and a cheese and ham panini. All were nicely presented and the fish and chips were particularly good. We returned the following morning to sample the breakfasts and these were amongst the best we have had in a long time. The sausage and bacon were delicious and a good quality with fabulous hash browns - the eggs, baked beans and black pudding were all good too. Our third visit was for the carvery Sunday Lunch - on this occasion there was a choice of beef, turkey and pork served with roast and boiled potatoes, crackling, Yorkshire puddings, carrots, cabbage, roast parsnips and cauliflower cheese. Other than the food being top notch, the staff here are all very friendly, Terry, Matthew and the team do make everyone feel welcome and valued as customers. We were also impressed at how efficient the staff were in helping elderly and less mobile customers at the carvery, carrying their plates and helping them up and down stairs which is a nice touch and not something you see in most places. We could not fault anything on our three visits and will definitely return when next in the area - WELL worth a visit.

This was our 4th year visiting Kingsbridge and we headed straight to The Creeks End as it is the social hub of the town.

Eaten here many times for lunch, but this time wanted breakfast. Smallish breakfast menu, but ok, no vegiterian option listed you could have advacardo, beans or egg on toast, but no appeal for me, so asked if I could have the pate and toast, told no as only doing breakfast erm doesn't toast come in the breakfasts and what is the problem getting the pate out of the fridge and serving it, not as if the pate is a 'special' it is on the standard regular menu, not good service at all, I'm afraid,

I used to enjoy coming to this pub, but recently when I last visited I have decided I will never be eating there again. Plates were dirty, meal was tasteless and very boring looking and the beer was watery. It’s sad to see what once was such a great place to eat and drink go down hill.
