Popped in on spec as was heading to a different cafe. Food was superb; the cauliflower ‘wings’ were one of those dishes that I’ll never forget. The scotch egg was a bit special, too. Plus they serve Clear Head on tap. Prices are reasonable and service is great. Can’t recommend enough.

I have never disappointed when I have visited the lovely White Hart Pub. Such nice country venue with great views over the river Seven into Wales, coupled with a old school building where sitting inside is just as good as sitting out. The Sunday lunches are a huge favourite of mine and since the new owners Darren & Rachel have taken over they have got even better. The food portions are big and so very flavoursome coupled with some very decent red wine made our latest lunch memorable indeed. I will be back again shortly and look forward to eating in the garden when a little warmer. By the sounds of it plans for some music are on the cards for the summer too.

The roast dinner was very disappointing, the so-called roast potato was deep fried, the chicken was dry, the carrots were rubbery and soggy - I suspect they had been cooked hours before being served. The broccoli was over cooked. My grand daughter ordered a bacon and brie panini - a chilli chicken baguette turned up! Ye gods! Oh! I should add, we waited 28 minutes for this appalling meal. Never again will we go there.

The fish and chips is fine, but they are advertising gluten free when they don't actually offer it unfortunately. They advertise gluten free on Sundays, but when you actually call them up to ask they won't make it, presumably because it's too much effort to make up a fresh batch Update - I followed the instructions they replied with below and they ignored me. Issue still isn't resolved
