Tesoro Lounge in South Gloucestershire

Highly recommend, consistently excellent!

We really love it here, and come back regularly for breakfasts. We've had a few lunches here which range from main meals to lighter lunches (the flatbread). Our only suggestion would be the ability to "add" a kids drink with items. We can only add a kids drink if doing a kids meal. Our 3yo sometimes will just have extras from our breakfasts, but we can only order him a normal juice. That being said, it's lovely otherwise!

The lounge is a great place to meet friends or go for a meal or just drop in for a coffee. The menu is extensive and the food produced is tasty. You can order at the bar but easier to use the QR code to access their web app to order and pay for your food which appears promptly thereafter. The staff although minimal are very efficient and friendly.

This is mine and my partners favourite place to have a quiet, laid-back night out or treat ourselves to brunch. Never have trouble finding a table, you can just walk in and pick where you want to sit, the staff are always friendly and smiling. The food is always fantastic, and the menu is regularly updated with new and exciting dishes to try, it’s where we always go when we can’t decide what sort of food we want to go out for, because the menu covers just about anything you could want, does one of you want a burger while the other wants tapas? You will both leave here happy and with full stomachs. They also have a wide variety of drinks, both alcoholic and alcohol-free (they make a great coffee too!) It’s the sort of place you can go at any time of day, the atmosphere is chilled out and you never feel out of place. The prices are about what you’d expect to pay, they usually have decent deals on mid-week for things like cocktails which are normally what is going to bump up your bill. On the occasions we have brought the kids there has always been good options for them and the children’s menus also double up as activity sheets which is a nice touch. Ordering is super simple; you can choose to do it at the bar, but we just use the online ordering system which is done by scanning a QR code and entering your table number.

We booked a table but there was plenty of seating available. Enjoable experience, will go again, 👍🙂

Tesoro has found it's groove and the food has gotten steadily better! Very good for prams, dogs and wheelchairs. Good selection of food and drink. Know your table number and order at the bar! Everything is brought to you! Very knowledgeable on Allergies and could cater for Gluten Free

Thai Basil was closed for January, so we came here instead. We ordered the Nasi Goreng which arrived in very small bowls and my heart sank. The Nasi Goreng itself was really delicious. Really nice, but the portion size at nearly £14 was tiny. So lovely staff and food, but small portions and overpriced.

I had the buttermilk chicken and my wife had the lamb kofte flatbread. Both very nice. Only minor issue is the fries could be hotter when they arrive

Had an amazing mocha that Kelly made me, she created a beautiful design on top and when I asked her how she made it, she made another drink to show me. She said she had previously worked at a coffee shop and that's where she got her experience. Her creativity with her designs are amazing let alone her great service, I wish I got a photo of the design!

Very disappointed! Sunday early evening and more staff than customers and we ordered food and it was very poor quality! Attempt to get the attention of the staff but they were more interested in their own mobiles .. No check back! No welcome! And I'm afraid it's a "Not to return" Place for us ..

We always enjoy visiting here. Staff always friendly and helpful, they always know to put table raisers on which is a nice touch. Due to table layout and how busy it can get, it can be awkward getting to the ground floor toilets at the back. They aren't labelled as disabled but a few grab rails in the toilets would make it easier

Can’t understand why anyone would eat here. Overpriced, poor quality food. Breakfast and a coffee is about £20! Avoid! Breakfast at the Swan or Shelley’s is a much better breakfast at half the price.

We all (group of four) had a good meal here. We used the QR code on the table to order and pay. The food came quickly and all of us liked what we ordered. I had bang bang cauliflower and my wife had bang bang chicken. Drinks were reasonably priced too.

Was unable to order breakfast muffin so ordered a bacon and egg sandwich on brown. Waitress brought white bread, said that there wasn’t any brown bread. I told her that I really wanted a muffin but couldn’t order it and she said that they were out of muffins and brown bread but that some were being delivered the next day. I said that wasn’t much good to me. What could she say. !!

Great food, quick service and well priced for lunch.

The service was very good considering it was a busy lunchtime. The quality of food was excellent. I had three tapas dishes and my wife had chicken, bacon and avocado salad. It was delicious. Would definitely recommend this venue for food and service.

The staff here are really friendly and the service is fast. As a bonus it's dog friendly and overall a great place for coffee and brunch.

As with all the Lounges, extensive menu with excellent food cooked to a consistent high standard and friendly efficient staff. Only missing star due to issues with using Google Pay on the ordering app almost always fails for me at Lounges so have to use card details.

We were 6 adults and 3 children for Sunday lunch. There was a menu for everyone, including: gluten free, Vegan and Kids. Our meals all got the thumbs up, Smashed Avocado brunch always a safe favourite, Shakshuka poached eggs in spicy sauce, the gluten free smashed burger was highly praised, there were no disappointments. Very child friendly. Comfortable chintzy soft furnishings evoke 50's atmosphere. Relaxed vibe. Happily recommend for breakfast/brunch/lunch with or without kids.

Tesoro lounge is the best place in Thornbury , if you like good atmosphere there is the right place , nice light , nice beers 🍻 Moretti is my favourite 😍 , there is the Cowboy Burger 🍔 that is just Amazing , I live in Thornbury from 2014 and Tesoro lounge is just different from other places is special , The Head chef " Diego " is the Best !! He like is job and the food is always amazing 👏🤩 The guys on the bar are friendly and well organised , the idea of a big jag of water in the bar for help your self is definitely the best (cold fresh water)👍 . Thanks guys I will come back soon ✔️

As someone who uses an electric wheelchair it was nice to see staff try and accommodate my need's by using table feet so the table can be raised to allow me to get my legs under the table rather than eating to the table side on, asking if a spoon would be easier to eat with, asking if I would like chairs removed to allow more space, all these little things add up to an exceptional experience, food was great and we will be back

Went in around 9.30pm, nice and quiet so you can have a conversation without having to shout lol, I ordered a hot chocolate with skimmed milk and it was yummy. Great atmosphere I love the lighted candles.

Awful. Food is poor. Yate and Bedminster Lounges are good, so surprised by Thornbury’s poor food. Cocktails are ok, but food is well below standard. Maybe I went on a bad day.

Best burger I’ve had in the UK ! Honestly I live in London now but will come back only for this till here. And for some surfing nearby, as well.

We have been here a few times now. We have always found the food and drinks to be really nice. There is a great atmosphere in the place, not too loud. The staff are always friendly, and that includes to our children and dogs. A big shout out to Ruby who is always especially friendly and helpful - a lovely young lady. I have witnessed other customers being rude, and she deals with it with maturity beyond her young years. The outside seating is a great addition.

Proceed with caution, dear diner, for the sands of disappointment may lie just beneath the surface.

Fantastic Sunday brunch with friends, made even better with wonderful chatty service by staff all the way from Madeira! Food was great, music not intrusive! atmosphere was calm and relaxing, did not have to shout across the table to be heard. A nice way to start the end of the week. Easy to see why the place is full more than similar venues in Thornbury. Reservations online recommended. Will be back very soon.

We had a works do, a table for 26 people , it was absolutely no hassle for the fantastic team last night. The food was exceptional. Delivered to our tables quickly, it was hot & without exception delicious! The staff, led by Kelly were professional, friendly & nothing was to much trouble. The atmosphere was relaxed & friendly. Without doubt we will go again!

So I love this restaurant, I often use this location to treat my engineers to breakfast or lunch. The setting is delightful, although it is a big place it feels snug almost cottage like. It is very clean, including the toilets. The food is lovely, I have never been unsatisfied with my order. I often find that food locations either have good food or good coffee, but this place manages to deliver an all round good experience.

Fabulous is the best way I can describe my experience here. Food was delicious and very reasonably priced, staff were fantastic and the atmosphere was just great. It was my first visit and I will definitely be returning

Visited at 6pm on a Monday evening for a friend's birthday, table of 15. I bought two cocktails - Prosecco & Passion Fruit Martinis for £11.95 (one for me, one for the birthday girl.) Never having had one before it was delicious. We all ordered our food individually at the bar taking advantage of the "buy a main, get a free dessert" offer. The dishes all came out together fairly quickly after ordering. My Nasi Goreng was delicious, just the right amount of warmth and spice. Other diners around the table had Bang Bang Chicken, the Chicken Burger or the Lounge Burger, everyone said the food was lovely. I had Churros for dessert with both chocolate and salted caramel dipping sauces. Dusted with cinnamon and nice & crispy they were very moreish. By 7pm the place was heaving, all tables full. The three or four serving staff were rushed off their feet but they were polite and always had a smile for us, they are a credit to the Lounge. (The kitchen must have been extremely busy too, well done to them.) All in all a good, reasonably priced meal in lovely surroundings. I will definitely return with my family.

Pros Brought Thornbury up to the 21st Century. Good service even when busy. It needs a good staff quota to achieve this though and talking to the staff it had to prove its worth to warrant the right workforce. Know what to expect like all the other restaurants in the chain. Kelly is a fab hostess and has always looked after us as a family of 3. Good menus choice. Cons. A chain. Not cheap. Where is?! Flat breads on the menu need to be revised. Doesn’t work for us. Rustic decor needs a little modernising?

Went for the Sunday night quiz and food. The food was excellent and the staff freindly. The quiz was great with a good mix if questions.

Relaxed dining experience. You can order all via your phone. Friendly prompt service. This lounge allows dogs. Very nice food although the dinner portions can be a bit on the smaller side. You can order and pay from your phone, which is convenient, but you are asked to decide your tip before you have eaten or had any service.

Went with friends who live in the area and had a great night. I was a little typsy and cheeky with the staff, and they were very accommodating, joining in and being lovely. Great atmosphere

Stunning decor, upmarket cafe vibe, slightly bohemian. Popped in for Tueaday Tappas special which did not disappoint. With the quality of venue and food, the only thing missing was a waiter to take our order at the table instead of at the bar or via the table QR code. Understandably, this is the normal these days. We'll done Tesoro!

We used to love going to the Tinto lounge in Gloucester Road so when it came to thornbury I was excited. Went for a celebration meal with friends on a Friday night to be disappointed. It just feels like a chain now and the crazy order via an app system made me feel like I was in an airport restaurant. The food was fine but to be asked for a service tip (default of 20%) ahead of actually getting any service really take the mock! On a positive the food was ok but boy do they need to change the format and bring back some character and service.

After being ignored by the staff we walked out.

A nice place to have lunch. We weren't too impressed with tapas, but arancinis with mozarella were great! A large selection of drinks too.

First time I've visited this place after a friend recommend it to me! I tried the full English breakfast which was very nice. The staff were very friendly and polite. Overall it was a very nice exsperance
