Great place to meet friends , good food and lovely bar staff

Have visited the lamb at Mangotsfield Bristol on various occasions. This time with six family members as an anniversary celebration. The food is excellent value for money and the staff are very friendly and helpful. I really cannot think of anything they could improve on although, having used the toilet area on previous occasions, I think they could do with upgrading.

Very tasty breakfast and very reasonable price will vist again

Went out with some work friends for our usual catch up and decided to visit the lamb . We had a very pleasant evening. The bar staff were lovely and couldn’t do enough for you. And the food was nice . We couldn’t fault any of it .

We always come for breakfast once a month Sam is lovely and always in on a Monday morning. Food was lovely and cappuccino was nice

Wifes choice for birthday meal. As usual staff very welcoming friendly and helpful. They were extremely careful regarding my allergy (Fungi, as in Quorn, mushrooms etc.). Usual high standard of cleanliness. Owing to an unexpected high volume of clients on weekend several food choices unavailable - staff were great at offering alternatives for both unavailable items and things that might affect me.

Made our minds up what we were going to have but it was off, so we had to change order ,having said that staff were quite helpful.

Decent enough local (part of Sizzling Pubs), with a few interesting meals outside of the usual bland pub fayre.

I visit every Sunday and find the staff helpful and friendly.

The service and the staff were amazing, we arrived and they were just about to close the kitchen, they were not notified via the website booking as we booked late when we reached Bristol from Essex. The bar lady was an absolute star especially having to keep putting in the codes of my diners card which I think can be a pain for anyone behind the bar.

Recently visiting family and decided to check out the Lamb for dinner (31st of May). Not only was the food good but the staff were so nice (little lady behind bar with glasses couldn’t do enough for us). Highly recommend, unexpected great night. Also got a free beer on the app, win win 😆😆😁

Visited with family on Friday for dinner, food was lovely and staff couldn't do more to help. A special mention to Liz who went above and beyond! Great atmosphere, we will be back.

Wow, this pub is amazing! The service and food were excellent. The 241 Roasts are an incredible deal. The pub itself is lovely, and the bar staff were brilliant. We sat in the well-maintained beer garden on a really hot day. It's a really lovely local country pub.

We had to wait an hour for the food, it was not even busy. The food had no flavour. I ordered the sizzling chicken, it was dry and only tasted the burned pepper on the chicken. The vegetables had no flavour at all. The chocolate fudge cake was ok, good portion size.

Waiting for more than a hour for food which is simple not complicated only a steak! Not even busy yet that is too hard to do?

A lovely welcoming pub! Friendly bar staff. We ordered on the app a few times and it was easy to use and the staff were very efficient bringing our drinks to our table. The food came out piping hot and we didn’t have to wait too long. The lady checked our meals were ok after a few minutes - a nice touch. Fairly busy place lots going on with sport showing in the bar and a pool table!!

The best service, staff are amazing and even though we had an issue with one of our meals they were so accommodating and even gave my two children desserts on the house. Highly recommend this place. Food was fantastic and staff are the best.. thank you table 21

Good local pub, good choice of beer and food. Reasonable prices compared to o lol cal pubs. Food tasty . Good friendly staff, Jacks always friendly and chatty, so are Emma, Liz, Tracey and the rest of the staff. Dogs welcome bar end.

It was my first time coming to the pub and Leon was amazing . Service was top notch , food came out at great speed and was outstanding definitely reccomend.

Lovely family friendly pub allows dogs and had a great value kids menu. choice of two cask ales good wine list and lovely food. Had quite a few veg gluten free choices which is rare.

Amazing new menu and with the right people cooking it could have been a 4 star. Saying that you pay for what you get and we will be back soon. Good to see the football while out with the family. Be back with the lads aswell I'd imagine

The food was hot and tasty However 1. We booked on line but our table was not reserved 2. We asked for the menu, decided what food we wanted to order, and after we had chosen were told the salmon had all been sold (this was at 5pm!) 3. There were no serviettes on the table. We had to provide our own napkins. 4. The gent's toilet was out of commission, so I had to use the ladies'. 5. No-one asked whether everything was OK with our meals.

Have been to the Lamb several times and have never had a bad meal yet. The staff are friendly, it is a nice warm pub and the food is excellent value for money. Highly recommend.

It was a very good big breakfast and refills on tea/coffee. Good service, clean and tidy.

For the second time we visited this restaurant we were served inferior quality steak as part of mixed grill and surf and turf menus. The restaurant were reluctant to change the steak and would only do so when challenged. The restaurant then blamed the inferior quality of the steak on its supplier.

A thriving "Local" - Great food, not fussy. Great service and a good range of drinks.

Visited this friendly establishment with our grandchildren on Saturday for breakfast. The food was excellent, and the staff catered for the grandchildren’s needs very well, even giving them an activity pack to keep them entertained. The pub was clean and the staff very friendly.

Lovely place to meet up with friends for lunch. Food is excellent value for money and I haven't had a bad meal there yet. Would highly recommend as staff are friendly, welcoming and service is really quick.

this is my 4th visit to the lamb and the food has always been top rate the bar staff are efficient and also notify you if there's a wait for food the food just gets better every time I told the chef how nice his food is then to top it of I took a dessert home with me absolutely beautiful. I will definitely return to the lamb inn

Was told food would be 30 minutes waited almost 1 hour. When food eventually arrived chips were dry and cold but we were so hungry we ate them . My wife ordered the chilli which consisted of half a bowl of rice and some watered down kidney beans which she immediately took back to the bar. Was offered something else to eat but she declined because we would have to wait even longer. Person who served us at the bar was very understanding but the young man collecting glasses and plates just sniggered. We usually visit a couple of times a month but will stay clear from now on.

We come to the Lamb regularly from south Wales... Yesterday we were served by Tracey and Jack...service was impeccable, as always, food was delicious, as always!... My grandchildren absolutely love the build your own sundaes! Thanks to Tracey, the very friendly server/barmaid who always makes us feel so welcome 😁

Lovely food, lovely staff and lovely setting. I've tried many different meals and they were all great

After waiting over a hour and a quarter for our food, it came burnt and almost inedible. Three of our party had Scampi this came overcooked and rock hard. One member had a version of Surf and Turf (steak & scampi) the scampi, onion Rings and grilled tomato 🍅 was burnt and was returned to the kitchen. Eggs that came with Gammon were hard and overcooked. Although the Scampi was replaced what came out of the kitchen was of poor quality. We have used The Lamb on many occasions but after our experience today, we will not be returning.

Me and my mates come often. The service is always 10/10, prompt and the drinks and food are both amazing! All of the staff are very friendly and recognise us, so will have chat to us like we are mates which keeps us coming back for more - a pub that cares! Would definitely recommend 👌

Great food yesterday at The Lamb Inn, courteous and friendly staff with lovely surroundings. The meal came out perfectly and we all had a lovely time in what was a busy pub. Will definitely be visiting again soon 😊

A nice little pub set in front of a large green. Good choice on the menu and nice selection of lager on tap! 10 out of 10 clean toilets! Great welcoming friendly staff - very helpful with the sizzling app! The kids really liked the menu lots of choice and especially liked the build your own Sundae!

We have passed this pub many, many times. Our increasing curiosity, as to what the pub may promise, drove us to visit, on this Saturday lunchtime, on our way home from a long walk. The pub inside is mostly tidy and it was clean; but some areas did require a little maintenance. A lot of the tables were reserved, but we were able to get a table for two. The atmosphere was good with several tables taken with people enjoying lunch. We studied the menu and opted for two cups of Americano coffee with hot milk, in which to warm us on what was a dry day with a cold breeze. The coffee wasn’t as good as hoped: it lacked the rich bitterness that a good roast coffee must have to be fully enjoyed. It was however hot, and was far better than some coffee for which have paid far more than £1.80 a cup. We ordered a ‘House Club’ sandwich; a triple decker with breaded chicken and bacon, served with chips (salad option available). On ordering (at the bar) I asked for an extra plate as we intended sharing, because we didn’t feel we wanted a whole sandwich each. The barman said that the kitchen would be pleased to cut the sandwich in two, and then serve this on plates with an equal share of the chips. This arrived without any undue delay, and was more than adequate for our needs. At £6.29 the sandwich was both good and good value, but he chips were not great. Whilst we waited for our sandwich we had taken the opportunity to appraise the wine list which was limited. Astonishingly, though, there was white wine offered at £10.49 a bottle! This was the Cooper’s Select – a South African wine that I just had to try! I asked to see the bottle, but the label was very unrevealing, with no grape variety information. The wine had a 12% alcohol content and was sold at £2.25 per 125ml glass. Surprisingly it was quite palatable, but very ordinaire. We shared the experience of this wine, and a 125ml glass of the Cooper’s Select Rosé which had an alcohol content of 11.5% and was priced at the same £2.25. The Rosé was slightly stronger in taste and again palatable but ordinaire. Incidentally the 125ml option is not offered on the drinks menu, but I had asked for a small glass of each, and that is what we were served. A word or two about the bar staff; both barmen were very pleasant and helpful, making us feel welcome: it’s a simple ‘kindness’ to achieve, but often it is not conveyed.

I walked into this pub after a period of many years. I almost instantly saw my old scoutmaster from 30+ years ago. We looked at each other but neither of us even acknowledged the others' existence. Just how I wanted it. 5 stars.

Good food and nice welcoming atmosphere

We popped in for an evening meal with our granddaughters who were staying with us for half-term. We hadn't been in for a while due to Covid etc so weren't sure what to expect. We were very pleasantly surprised - all our food was lovely, hot and tasty with good portions. The staff who looked after us (Maya and Kurt) were really friendly and helpful, and we all had really enjoyable time.

Lovely pub in mangotsfield, was walking past with a friend and decided to pop in. So glad we did Mac and cheese was lovely, staff were so friendly and the wine was very reasonable. Will definitely be back. The lady who served us went out...

Me and my son enjoyed some really lovely food here the other Sunday. It was pleasant enough and there was no fault in the food that was served to us! Would come again!

there is a good choice of drinks ,the steaks are nice which we had with plenty of chips, I will try a breakfast at some point , plenty of room to sit down with a car park at the back and seating out the front.

Haven't been for ages had Christmas Dinner here on Christmas Day was good busy boozer

Great Xmas meal with my wife and friends and felt Christmassy with lovely staff. The three course meal was hot and tasty and could easily recommend the Lamb
