It's a very good all round course, and all the staff who work there are all happy to help you

Decent club but the greens aren’t great, with a lot of holes and sand, and no fresh kitchen for lunch.

Me and mario would like to say a massive thankyou to you and all the staff who made our wedding day a magical one. The service we had from start to finish was amazing. The food was all beautiful from wedding breakfast to the buffet. We had so many compliments. The dj was on top form,and had everyone on the dance floor. The decor and how you changed the room around for each part of the day was perfect. There wasn't anything more that we and you guys could do to make it any better. Another special day for our latest family get together and celebration! The food was again delicious and plenty of it! The venue is super with a great outdoor space to enjoy and relax in for all the family! A big THANK YOU to the chief for the lovely roast dinners and the staff for the great service! We will be back for our Christmas get together!

Course was in good nic but sadly the round was spoilt by members playing a comp many holes back getting the course steward to hurry our four ball along with messages that our play was slow..... our 4 ball finished our round in 3hours 45mins. By any standard that is not slow. Also to have the steward follow us round for the last 4 holes was slightly off putting. Spoilt a nice round.

We were asked by the marshall to speed up on the 13th hole as a a member match a few groups back had complained about slow play. As a four ball we went round in 3hr45m. Is that not acceptable, we didn't change anything in the later holes? Not at all welcoming for visitors that were considering joining.

Excellent service and support from Gemma and the team at Bristol Golf Course for our event. The room was light, airy, and perfectly arranged for our needs. The team were flexible and a pleasure to work with. Highly recommended for your next event.

Really good 9 hole 3par course (along with an 18 hole more challenging course we did not have time for). Fantastic views down to the Severn estuary. Friendly staff. Food in clubhouse not particularly welcoming

We had an afternoon celebration for our 40th wedding anniversary at The Bristol Golf Club on Sunday 5th May 2024. Attendees were primarily family with additionally a few close friends who had attended our wedding in 1984. The room had been well set up as had been discussed with Gemma (Events Manager). The staff had been well briefed and were helpful and professional. We had chosen a hot and cold buffet with dietary options satisfied. The food was excellent and enjoyed by all of those present. There was a good range of sandwiches, sausage rolls, mini beef burgers and calamari as well as other very tasty foods. For dessert there were mini Victoria sandwich cakes, chocolate cakes and red velvet cakes as well as fruit skewers that were extremely well received. Coffee and tea had been included in the very competitive price that we were offered. As agreed when booked the toast of Prosecco was brought into the room at 3pm. Everyone present had a great time. Thank you.

We hired the St Swithins Suite for a regional training session for 60 surveyors. Great service from start to finish in a beautiful setting. The only reason why it hasn't gained 5 stars, is that due to the projector being opposite large windows, it was often hard to see the content being projected. If blinds or curtains were installed to enable people to control the light coming in, it would be perfect!

Visited as a large group on 6th April, weather had been atrocious, yet staff and Pro did everything they could to accommodate and get us out onto the course. Great welcome after golf, will definitely return. Roger, South Wales

Great location for an event but staff need to be aware of allergens when serving food.

In the last year or so the new owners of the Club have improved every aspect of the Club, the courses and the landscape. It has been completely transformed. Many many thanks.

We arranged our wedding at this venue at very short notice. Bristol Golf Club massively exceeded our expectations and the day went perfectly. Gemma was extremely helpful with all the planning and arrangements. The staff on the day were all so helpful and friendly, they just couldn't do enough for us. The food was excellent as well. Everyone had a great day and we can't thank you enough. For anyone searching for a wedding venue in Bristol, the Bristol Golf Club is perfect!

We enjoyed getting together for our Christmas family get together. We love the venue, its location and easy of parking. The bar and restaurant staff were superb and very helpful and responsive. All the food was excellent! Well cooked and plenty of it! Complements to the chief and kitchen staff!

We had our wedding at the Bristol golf club in august, could not recommend it more. The staff were amazing, really friendly and attentive. The venue was beautiful and great for photos as well as plenty of space for guests. It included the main and secondary function room, access to bar and a room for the bridal party to get ready there was an outside patio with seating. They organized the catering, decorations and DJ as part of the package there was a hotel room for the newly weds. The food was amazing (especially the hog roast) and catered to all dietary requirements mentioned. The price of the package was very good considering the amount included and the service provided. They were very helpful during planning process and was happy to suggest multiple options. 10/10 best day thanks to the great staff at The Bristol Golf Club.

It's always a pleasure to stop at The Bristol, the coffee is always incredible and the atmosphere and service is great.

Thanks to the staff at Bristol for making our Society day enjoyable and despite the recent weather, they even organised a dry day for us! The course was in good condition despite a lot of rain, it was closed 2 days prior and reduced to 12 holes the day before our visit, so the course recovered well. The only downside is that The Bristol is expensive for drinks, one of our members bought 4 or 5 coffees and it cost him over £18 and the alcoholic drinks were expensive too, also The Bristol is a cashless venue, this was not made clear beforehand and some members of our society were unpleasantly surprised at that. All in all though, a lovely day.

Our Diamond Wedding Anniversary Lunch was cancelled at the last minute last year due to illness. We had expert help from Gemma to rebook again a year late. The venue was perfect, lovely views across the river to Wales. The food was cooked and served very professionally. Our guests enjoyed, with us, a lovely celebration. I have no hesitation in recommending The Bristol Golf Club.

Awesome course and a lovely clubhouse

Gemma and the team were excellent in ensuring a great experience booking and using their venue for an event. On arrival guests could see where the event was being held as it was clearly displayed on the TV screen in the foyer. Room was set up ready, fresh tea & coffee brought up to the room and someone on hand should we have any questions throughout our event. Really appreciated and would highly recommend. Thank you!

Very hot when we played. A decent walk. Balls sitting down in the semi, having too look for them slowed the pace of the game.

I was a member here years ago. Recently came back as our Business Golf Networking is hosted here, breakfast is good and the course looks like it has really matured well.

What a location!! A big thank you to Gemma and the team for making my birthday celebration so special. Lots of wonderful comments from guests. Gemma took the time to ensure the event was just as we wanted and remained helpful and efficient from start to finish. The food was really lovely and well presented, all was gone very quickly! Thank you to the chefs for communicating with us so well and getting things just right, a lot of people were catered for that afternoon. Timely, hot and delicious. All staff were friendly and accommodating, and the room was gorgeous, with fantastic views. Would’ve been great to have used the outside terrace area a little more, but the weather sadly stopped that! Would definitely recommend for that special event. You won’t be disappointed. Thank you.

Had our society day at The Bristol on the 5th August. Everyone throroughly enjoyed the day and the staff at The Bristol were fantastic nothing was too much trouble. Course was in great condition given the weather we had leading up to it. Would defiantly come back. A*

Golf course good. Clubhouse good. Customer service, mixed. Some of the clubhouse staff are great. Some are rude, mute and uninterested.

After playing a few rounds at The Bristol I was so impressed by the quality of the course, the greens are immaculate, bunkers brilliant white and well maintained. Staff in the Pro Shop and Bar area are very polite and approachable, the club has a REALLY great feel to it. Very please with my decision this far in becoming a member.

Excellent facilities golf and catering. Staff 100%. It looks like a great place to chill out have a gin and tonic etc. However today it 🌧. My first time at the club but definitely come back. Thanks 😊

This is just a fantastic club, the care taken on the course is amazing. Can highly recommend it. Plus the view isn't bad at all!

I had a decent experience with my son. We only went on the pitch and put 9 hole course as my 12 year old is quite new to the game. He absolutely loved it. The course could be better condition and have a little more features on the pitch and put, but all in all we had a great time and I would recommend. The pitch and put is also worth doing as a warm up before you play the proper course.

We held a business meeting at the Golf club and we were 100% impressed with the venue and the staff! Nothing was to much trouble the buffet lunch was excellent and Harry looked after us like a pro on the day! We will be rebooking for our next meeting in December 😊

We had a great experience at this golf club a group of 11 of us played this course with food afterwards this is a great course with some very interesting holes would definitely recommend found the staff to be welcoming and friendly.

We are about to have our golden wedding anniversary at the golf club. This is the second visit to the club. It's a lovely venue for family and friends. We have been dealing with Gemma Smith, nothing is to much trouble. I have made a number of changes to the venue. I rang Gemma and it's all sorted. Very pleasant lady to deal with. We held a reception after a funeral in the Terrace Room last week. Absolutely five well-deserved stars. I couldn’t have been happier with how things worked out. It is such a lovely venue, and everyone was exceptionally friendly and helpful. Thanks to all concerned!

Held a society day here for 32 players. Very well looked after from making enquiries through to the big day. Pro-shop staff were very organised providing a starter, placing NTP markers and arranging prizes. Course was in great condition and the greens were challengingly quick. Bacon baps beforehand were excellent and the bar welcoming afterwards. A fantastic day had by all with only positive feedback.

My second visit in a week to Bristol golf club. Great venue and amazing courses. Staff and facilities are second to none. I intend to make this a regular course to play and recommend golfers of all ages and levels to visit here

We organised our Grandmother's wake here at the Bristol golf club and it was the perfect venue. The food was delicious (we opted for the afternoon tea), the staff were so helpful and the room we had was perfect for the occasion. Would definitely recommend Bristol Golf Club to others.

We recently held a colleague's retirement party at The Bristol Golf Club. Gemma made the pre-planning and booking very simple and on the night the venue was great. We were blessed with perfect weather and fantastic views which contributed to a great evening, so thank you!

Village Inn Golf Society had a superb day at the Bristol brilliantly organised by Chloe Stewart. The full English breakfast was excellent our thanks to Chris and team. Elliott in the club shop could not have been more helpful as was Errol the Course Marshall. The Course was in good condition considering all the recent rain. Well done and thanks Bristol Golf Club .

Perfect spot just off the M5 for a spot of lunch. Who needs service stations?

We had our Veterans 'Away Day' here on 17th April, and whilst the Course was not at its best, fairways particularly, not many are given the rain we have had in recents weeks, the greens were very acceptable, and quite fast given the weather. Its worth a visit, even if you go out of your way to try The Bristol BIG breakfast, which was quite simply the best breakfast I have ever ad at a golf club. We had a meal as well, for 40 players, which was excellent, homemade I'm guessing, and was plentiful, hot and very tasty. If I had a moan, there is nothing that I can see on the website that indicates that they don't accept cash, only cards, it's something you find out when you arrive. There is a steep walk down the 3rd Hole, from the tee, and you have to watch your footing, and the walk from the 17th green to the 18th Tee, is 'challenging' for the less than fit, thank God there is a bench when you get there!! Worth a trip, definitely!!

Excellent food at a 90th birthday party

Brilliant day out for a friend's birthday. Great breakfast, 18 holes of golf that was superb and they have some really good par 3s, ham egg and chips after. My only gripe is I was charged £4.59 for a pint of shandy that was 75% lemonade. Those driving are not given any encouragement at those prices. Had I known I would not have bothered having a drink.

When using driving range you unable to purchase any of the snacks or beverages as the staff spend their time hitting balls on the range and not at the reception desk.

Played a round of golf which was good, course was in good condition with good variety of holes. I did however try to use the range half an hour before tee off time. On arrival was told there were booths free so bought a bucket of balls to warm up immediately. Then when we tried to go and get a booth there were none despite what we were told. Waited a bit and none cleared and as we had our tee time we had to leave. Tried to get refund on the balls but was refused despite having not used a ball because despite what they said no booths were free. Instead was offered a bottle of coke which considering a bucket of balls is £8 I don't feel it was overly fair. Just felt a bit ripped off as had been told there were booths available on arrival to the range.

Lovely course but could do with directional notices for " next tee". Also pictorial representation of hole being played on tee boxes, otherwise,highly recommended.

We were very pleased with our choice of The Bristol Golf club for the 'celebration of life' following the funeral of our father. Communications with the Events Manager were excellent and everything that we requested was provided. The St Swithins Suite was an excellent venue, with stunning views and plenty of space for the numbers of family and friends that attended. The Buffet food was of good quality and plentiful and was enjoyed by all. We would highly recommend this venue to others.

Very enjoyable course with great variety in the holes. We played on 22 February and were off tee mats (which were fine) but the rest of the course and all greens were in play. The greens were excellent, good pace and smooth. The course looks well managed through the winter and is a real credit to the owners. For our 12:32 tee time it was £22 each for our two-ball - excellent value. The welcome and service in the golf shop and bar was excellent - friendly, helpful and efficient. Good range of food and drink which was tasty and reasonable value. Looking forward to visiting The Bristol again soon.

Very friendly clubhouse. Fantastic driving range.

4th time playing this course it can be quite interesting with a few really nice holes. However I think the club really need to review their 8 minutes between tee times. Should be 10 minimum. Had to walk of the course today after 14 holes was actually going to do it after 11 as it was just backing up and backing up.

Christmas meal so very busy. Not easy to get staff attention but they were helpful when we could.

Gone downhill since ownership change cold, bare and uninviting in the clubhouse. Inexperienced staff with little catering knowhow. Such a shame, used many times before and was always brilliant.

Went for a company meeting. Place looked nice but no non dairy option for tea or coffee on arrival. Seating in the meeting room was dreadful

Visited today with a private event. Room was bare and cold, chairs were uncomfortable, and dangerous slipping and sliding on the laminate floor. The full english breakfast served plated was fresh but cold, this was mentioned to the server at the time, (Ben) who did nothing to remedy the situation and continued to serve the cold food. Tea and coffee ran out. Have been there many times before Covid, and always been happy with the room food and ambience, but not so now.

Saturday 8th of October 2022 we had our wedding at The Bristol. It was absolutely amazing! The staff were fantastic especially Gemma for her wedding planning and Ben as the host for the evening.
