The best restaurants in Sedgemoor South West

Advertised a £3.99 super value Box which I wanted 15 Mini Chicken Bites & Drink. Was told at the counter it’s only when you buy a main meal first. So left thirsty I went to the subway machine next door and helped myself to some water as I was thirsty to then be told by the Chopstix staff not to use the water dispenser at subway. Scumbags

Sad to see and say that after using China star for years today's food was very bad. My house special chow mein had 3 mini shrimps in it the taste was overwhelming from soya sauce and the portions get really small my extra portion fried noodles with beansprouts had no beansprouts. The prawn crackers are very old and soft. The spareribs get more and more bone and less meat. Next time you have to order 5 portions to get a proper meal. This is very bad for the good reputation you had. Today 29 December 2024 portion even smaller it's now half empty food tray.

The most unwelcoming/unfriendly establishment I have ever been to. I must have been to 100s. Myself, partner and 7 year old went in for lunch keen to part with our money. Lunch for our 7 year old was the same price as the adult meal. I was told there are other pubs you could go to which would welcome children. I will never, ever go here again.

Dont even bother, i ordered 1 triple cheeseburger, 1 chicken mayo and 1 large chips.. I waited 25mins for my food and when it came, the burger was not customised to my liking and they forgot to add my chips, I paid 2.39 for those chips and dint get them.. utterly disgraceful, you have ONE job and its not hard... Do not order here its a waste of time, go to KFC instead and have a better experience

I tried to order delivery on Sat 1st Feb , 1st guy on phone try to over charge me so I double checked their menu prices , phoned back and explained to 2nd guy that 2 x 9" pizza are a meal deal and cost £14.90, instead of apologising for their mistake he says that offer is only at certain times. Doesn't say that on the menu , he then tells me to try order online then . Has pizza choice changed hands or something . They have never been so rude & money grabbing before .Awful way to treat a customer.

All food arrived late. Incorrect drink. All food was cold as if it had been sitting around for a while.

We ordered a meal to be delivered, while we was on holiday. I wish we hadn't now. It took 2 and a half hours to come, apparently the chef was on his own and had to deliver. If it hadn't been for the children who were starving I would of cancelled the delivery. When the food finally came, it wasn't the best. You could tell it all been rushed. We won't be ordering from here again.

Tasted like the oil used was very, very old. Couldn't even eat most of the meal. Sweet and Sour Pork balls were so greasy I felt nauseous. Sauce for other dishes tasted and looked as if a spoonful of grease had been added and the sauces had no other flavour to them. Meat was overcooked and chewy. Vegetables also overcooked and pappy. Seriously need to up their quality. Will not be ordering again.

Monya has the most friendly and supportive owners. The food was excellent, and they sell one of the best mint sauces, nan bread and popadoms. I would highly recommend visiting the takeaway.

Sadly they had no haddock. But the cod we had was tasty and plentiful. Staff coping well with Covid restrictions at the moment as weather is good but as customers have to wait outside once order is placed, could be a problem in wet weather. But food is well worth the wait

First visit to this Chinese only went due to our local being closed for there annual holiday. Ordered chicken fried rice and the best place for it was straight in the bin, it was not fit for human consumption. Awful customer service upon arrive. Would never visit again and waste good earnt money.

We ordered two vegetarian breakfasts. They had no vegetarian sausages no ketchup no salt no pepper. The tomatoes and beans weren't just not hot, they were cold. Eating out isn't an everyday thing for us, it's a holiday treat. This was anything but. We've made a mental note to avoid Momma's cafe next time we come to Burnham. Come on chaps, we are supporting small businesses like you during the Covid crisis but it's a two-way thing.
