Not much seems to have been going on here for ages. The Fandom formula was a bit niche and after being hit by a fire a year or two ago never really got back the occasional momentum it had before. The place is now in the final couple of weeks of reworking and reconditioning the interior and the the entirely new management have explained that they intend to open later February 2020 as a dog friendly bar and adjacent room serving a modern twist on pub grub classics. Sounds interesting. These premises have long been very convenient to users of the pontoons at this end of Sutton Harbour. The first restaurants on this site twenty years ago and more were very successful and enjoyable places to use.
we were served by à lovely waitress named Bishasha, she was welcoming and as someone trying greek cuisine for the first time it was an absolutely amazing experience
Totally heartbroken that these guys had to close, not only the food, atmosphere and service were probably the best in Plymouth but it was a truly special place judging by international standards! Will always remember the place and selfishly hope they open something in the future. Take care guys!
Rude obnoxious staff, not interested in customer service. Unfortunately, this place thinks it's better than it is. It seems to forget it's a bar on The Barbican who needs to remember the locals.
Found this little cafe whilst walking the dog and definitely found a little gem. Both of us had the early bird full English which comes with coffee or tea, for less than tenner for two. All cooked fresh and not at all greasy. Staff very friendly and dog got a free sausage. Now can't walk dog pass the cafe without pulling towards the door. Other meals on menu very well priced.
No crackers offered upon arrival, had to ask for cutlery. Food very basic and my main (pad Thai) was slightly overcooked. Staff also offering to take your plate whilst still eating!
The atmosphere was great. Servers were kind and helpful. However, the waiting time for our food was shocking. Don’t get me wrong, I understand good food must go through a careful and high quality cooking process but me and my family waited more than an hour for such basic dishes. My food was undercooked, watery and unpleasant. This is unfortunate because the restaurants atmosphere and character itself was perfect. It’s a shame really.
