Lovely little Greek restaurant, nice decor inside. Staff were friendly. Food was really good, all cooked fresh. Complimentary shot of some kind of drink after your meal was nice. Would return

Booked a table for 5 on the lads night out , all food was fresh and nicely done , we went for the 3 course meal and this was the best choice . Definitely recommend to anyone if you like or want to try Greek cuisine in Plymouth, in the nicely looking restaurant served by good trained and friendly staff.

Fantastic meal with friends - early dinner, yesterday. Don’t understand why this restaurant is so quiet. The food was amazing. I had dolmades and then stifado for main. The rice was the nicest I’ve had, very buttery and full of flavour. Friends meals were all great too. Will definitely go again!

Little Greek taverna tucked away in a quiet little street. Fantastic location. There was a good menu choice. The starter was delicious 😋 but the main course (mixed kebab) was a bit tasteless. Shame. But on the whole the food was good. Chips were nice 🙂🙂🙂

Excelent place for lunch and dinner, amazing food and friendly staff

Visited here for a lunch date in January. As expected on the barbican at that time of year we were the only customers. The Greek wine varafe was fabulous. We got a meze lunch deal which was excellent value. The food was pretty good, without being out of this world. The server was very good, read when we needed him without awkwardly hanging around, particularly important given we were the only table. The baklava for dessert was to die for. Cannot recommend that enough!! Overall a decent value lunch.

Beautiful food, authentic atmosphere and a truly relaxed Greek feel, came here off the cuff for our Daughters 13th birthday there was something for everyone on the menu have been before and will return again soon

Had a cheeky couple of days in Plymouth and as we love Greek food decided to have dinner at Stavros. We had a starter of Tzatziki and warm pita bread which was lovely. I had the Stifado and my wife had the Kleftiko for mains. The food was excellent and came with both rice and potato. The meat was so tender. The staff are so lovely and attentive. Without doubt the best Greek meal I have had in the UK. Highly recommend

I loved this restaurant! We came as a large group including one in a wheelchair and they were very accommodating! The service was excellent and the decor was beautiful. We had the meze which was £25 per person. It was great value for money, there was so much food and the starters were amazing! Some of the starters you do not usually get given as part of a meze deal at other greek restaurants so we were very pleased! Lots of flavour and definitely fresh! Absolutely amazing tiramisu too! The Stavros restaurant has some tough competition on the Barbican but in my opinion is one of the best . Unlike some other establishments around you are not packed together and have plenty of space put this together with fabulous food great service and value for money this is the place to go to .

The food was delicious, fresh, and a super filling portion. We got the tzatziki and two chicken platters and the chicken was so juicy and flavourful. Everything was amazing and the service was great! Resul was so kind and offered some free liqueur and desert. The tiramisu was so light and not too sweet. The baklava was nutty and had such a deep complex flavour. I would definitely recommend this place as it completely exceeded my expectations.

Popped in on spec as had lovely food here before. Had the mini meze which was ample for two and we enjoyed it. The Merlot wasn't great but the usual overcharge for a cheap bottle. Disappointed with the baklava which should have been served with ice cream but wasn't. We had two small dollops of squirty cream and overall it was much too sweet as a result. Also overtipped because I didn't notice a 10% service charge was included so overall a very expensive afternoon meal.

Stopped in Plymouth for a night and wandered into the Barbican area for dinner. After looking at a few restaurants settled on this place and really glad we did. The food is great, nice large portions and very authentic. Recommended a caraf of house white to go with it which was a perfect match. Service friendly and professional. Can say anymore than that.

Came here with my partner as a walk in and was greeted by I lovely waitress who seated us. This is a cosy taverna, decorated in simple Greek style with blues and whites. The menu promises food cooked to family recipes so we were expecting authentic Greek/Greek Cypriot food but we were sadly disappointed. The starters were hit and miss. The meatballs and the prawn cocktail were nice. However but the lettuce in the prawn cocktail was too wet, no freshly ground black pepper available to add to the sauce and the tomatoes relatively flavourless. The potato starter was bland with a weak and watery dressing and hardly any lemon/olive oil/salt/dill/oregano flavours that are the staple of Greek/Cypriot salads. The main courses were reaaonable - the spices/flavours were there but didn't manage to elevate the dishes to how authentic Greek food should taste. The 'Greek salad' accompanying them had cubes of feta and olives, but it wasn't quality feta/olives/olive oil and a poor imitation of how the salads should actually taste. We didn't stay for pudding as we felt this would fall short of expectations. The staff were lovely and the service was good but sadly we wouldn't go back. Its a shame because it is a great location and has so much potential.

Stopped off here today for lunch. I was very underwhelmed, I ordered the chicken souvlaki which stated 2 skewers of marinated chikdren, rice and Greek salad. I don't think the chicken that came out in my plate would even fill one skewer let alone two, my rice was watery and the salad wasn't fresh (or at least the leaves weren't). For the price it just wasn't worth it!
