★★★★★ It’s been years since I last visited as I now live in the Midlands, but I’m so glad I returned! The food was just as fabulous as I remember from years ago—fresh, delicious, and full of flavour. Still amazing value too. Highly recommend!

Wonderful restaurant, the food is delicious, portions are big enough. There is a lunch and dinner option menu. The staff is friendly and helpful.

Busy so I would advise booking. Ample parking in the multi story across the road. Search for Wrstern Approach car park. Fast service in drinks and food. Food was divine. I braved the lamb and it was wonderful, not tough or chewy, but buttery with every mouthful. Dessert I had the leandras mess (Eton mess). Nice palate cleanser. Will definitely be back. Good portions and great food

A truly perfect evening. Lovely ambience, pleasant staff (and plenty of them), GREAT food- the best moussaka we've had in years. Highly recommend this place. Thank you for a lovely evening. We'd definitely come back if we're in Plymouth again.

This was a third visit over the last year I have booked for Ladies who Lunch ,there were 13 of us and everyone of us thought that it was excellent.The service was excellent,the food was excellent,and the presentation was excellent.Also we didn’t have to pre-order . I would highly recommend this restaurant, we will certainly return again.THANKYOU

The food fantastic the service excellent we had two big party’s but as a group we collected everyone’s money for there meal beforehand so we pay all together but be careful they have two party menus on there site so mine was 21.95 during the week and a extra £3 at weekends so 24.95 a person but some had added like steak so £31 but the one menu they charged us from was £1 more but with 17 people ur £17 out of pocket plus becareful if u doing party and collecting money up front as they ask if u want sauce but don’t tell u that there is a £3 charge for each sauce so just be careful in groups

On saturday 4th january myself and 15 members of my family arrived at the restaurant which we had already informed of our meal choices to be shown to 3 separate tables which where set apart ,when we then asked if we where able to sit to together we where shown sitting for 12 and 3 on another table across the room we excepted that and where then told they had lost our orders so we reordered, food arrived vary quickly and vary nice now the good part we had arranged for a cake and balloons to be brought in after the meal to surprise my brother on his 60th birthday it arrived into the restaurant with the staff singing happy birthday but they took it to another table of which the party at the table where surprised when i informed the other party they said sorry we thought it was a bit funny as the oldest person at there table was 45 we shared the cake with them, won't be going back sorry .

25 of us rocked up yesterday for our Christmas lunch. Greeted with happy faces from the lovely staff even though the restaurant was full. The food came out quickly and piping hot; no mean feat for a table of 25! Well done Nick and the team it was a fabulous afternoon x x looking forward to the next visit. Merry Christmas 🎄

We attended for a staff Christmas meal of 8. This is the first meal we’ve done as a large group where nothing was wrong! Everything came out at the same time (and promptly!), was warm, tasted fresh and incredibly delicious. Very good portion sizes and even lovelier staff. Accommodating to all of our needs and a lovely atmosphere. Would really recommend and eat here again! A new favourite for sure

Just returned from a Christmas meal there. As usual great food & service at reasonable prices.

It had been the Wife’s Mums 80th Birthday earlier in 2024 and so we took her and Dad out for Lunch to mark the Occassion. As they enjoy Leandra Restaurant we booked a Table for a Late Lunch Date. For me personally I thought the experience was no better than Average with Service Reasonably Efficient but not overly Friendly. Food was ok but no better than that in my view. Three of us had Three Courses and Dad had just the Two. Drinks were vastly overpriced. Mum had a decent time I guess but overall I was disappointed especially when you consider the owners originate from Cyprus where Food is the Number One choice of Families. Chalk and Cheese.

Phoned up last minute and managed to squeeze us in.The food here is exceptional in quality and value. Where else are you getting 3 courses for £22-25. The only criticism you could make is that it's very busy and the staff are rushing about but sip your drink and remember it's worth the wait and if you don't have the belly pork for main you are missing out.

It’s ages since I have eaten here it was my wife’s favourite restaurant Since then many more eating places have come to Plymouth, The Family decided it would be nice to come back here and it was a great choice The Staff are so obliging and attentive, we had a great welcome We did pre order as there were seven of us and it makes easier for everyone . We all had different meals but we were all delighted with how delicious they all were bursting with flavour The size of the meals was very generous and all of us were full after two courses a couple had desserts which again were outstanding Thank you all will not leave it so long before we return

The best in Plymouth. 15 of us and the meals all came out together and were superb.

Phoned up to ask about gf options!!! Do not eat here with any gluten intolerance or colieac... the staff have 0 understanding!! There's melon you can have though??? So the girl on the phone said. Shocking that the staff have no training in this and no understanding of how serious this can be .

Have visited Leandras many times and have always found it first class. The food was very good & hot, served efficiently within a reasonable time. Reasonably priced. Nice atmosphere and warm. My only complaint is the waitress seemed as if she needed another type of job that did not involve any interaction with people.

Spontaneous decision to dine here and it didn’t disappoint! Leandra’s is a bit of a Plymouth institution, been there for at least half a century but it was my wife’s first ever visit. It’s not in the most trendiest of areas, and the menus at first glance aren’t that exciting but … BUT if you like good quality ingredients, cooked by people who know food and that care, IF you like traditional and the classics served with a modern twist, IF you like value for money then PLEASE please give them a visit. Super friendly & efficient staff, great service, amazing food served in a great atmosphere. Well done to the FOH & kitchen teams, it was a real dining pleasure and we look forward to our next visit

Have been to Plymouth many times but never been to Leandra but after tonight will definitely return. The choice, presentation, taste and service were all excellent and the price was very reasonable.

Tables are a bit too close but otherwise great place

The food and the service was excellent

We were in and out within 50 minutes - felt rushed and watched uncomfortably by staff. Tables and chairs for too close together. The food was of generous portion sizes and hot but of average quality. Customer service poor - didn't see any staff smile, no conversation or personal touch. Management needs serious training and a good shake-up. We would return given the restaurants history and put it down to an off day, but reading recent reviews opinions seem mixed in recent times.

Went in for a meal this evening ,the staff were very rude and very inpatient ,wouldn’t go their again

Was at the restaurant for a birthday meal there was a big group of the us the staff were not accommodating and were rude to us as customers as we were about leave we were not allowed to split the bill they said we had to work out the prices and when asked for help was told it was our problem this is was a problem cause at the beginning the lady said we could split the bill most of us had roast beef and it was not to a good quality beef was chewy and felt processed and paying for a roast dinner at that price you expect the beef at a certain standard of a restaurant I won’t attend this restaurant again as the staff were off putting and impolite to the whole party

Just been today with 2 friends for a 3 course meal , absolutely loved it , been there before , amazing staff , the chef is my neighbour he s a star 🌟 love it 🌟❤️🥳

Food amazing, service excellent, good value for money

Had a table for 6 today, service was absolutely fantastic, we had the lovely Danielle serving our table and nothing was too much trouble. Everyone had a great time, thanks to Bailey for the amazing starters, infact the whole meal was fantastic

What a disappointing shame. Went for a special birthday dinner. Checked it out in the afternoon first. Ordered lovely wine, 3 courses of a la cart menu. Brilliant prawn cocktail starter. Fantastic desert of great quality. BUT NOW THE MAIN DISHES I ordered lamb souvlaki and after a bit got told "no lamb left" so I picked the chicken souvlaki , upon which the waitress pulled her face but said nothing. A bit later it came and oooh boy "this was bad" tough and horrible. I left my birthday main meal and we continued for dessert. To our horror , when we wanted to pay , we said the mains was horrific, and reply was " yes, I knew that and wondered why you had it" so I replied , why didn't you tell me. No reply. And you at 2 bites of it. I think this was not the right way to treat us. We spend more than £90 between us. DINER BE AWARE.

The Leandra was amazing They got us a table on a Saturday night,as our previous booking let us down, within half an hour they managed to seat us whilst coping with a very busy time The staff are so friendly and helpful, went to great trouble to help, above and beyond I'd say Whereas the food is so good, and the portions very generous, the Meze is vast and every dish distinct and authentic Greek flavours, throughly enjoyed we loved it Very nice seating arrangements and lovely atmosphere Very highly recommended

Delicious food and friendly, attentive service. Reasonably priced. Sadly non alcoholic beers etc were not available. We were celebrating 2 birthdays but were not allowed to bring our own non alcoholic fizzy wine even though we were willing to pay corkage.

Great food, service ok for a busy Sunday

First visit on a busy Friday evening, service was still good and food for 6 was very good. Great menu and friendly efficient staff, definitely going to return.

This is the place to go when celebrating or even going for a casual meal. I have eaten in most places Plymouth has to offer now and can say without doubt Leandra is my first choice. Great menus both set and a'la carte as well children's menus. The waiters are amazing and the food is cooked and presented perfectly. If you enjoy steak then it's a no brainer to book here as only place I've eaten that my steak was served how I asked for it.

Absolutely fabulous all round service from the phone booking to leaving the restaurant. Was a booking of 20 people for my daughters 30th birthday,nothing at all was too much trouble, well seated/arrangement/food/service/all fabulous. Many thanks to all especially our main waitress Sam 🥰

Wow, what a fantastic, wonderful Greek restaurant was highly recommended by The B & B we were staying at well. we definitely were not disappointed at all. I would highly recommend this place. The amazing moussaka was the best I've ever tasted as well as the starters we had to staff very friendly and welcoming couldn't do any more then they provided,very clean and a great ambeounce not to expensive either definitely will be back thank you to all the staff for our wonderful experience.

My wife visited this place with her friends last night (14/08/2024) as they entered the restaurant and looked at the menu, the ‘waiter’ came up to he table and asked if they are ready to order, they were taking the order but my wife mentioned that she can not have dairy (intolerant) and the waiter said ‘that sounds like a YOU problem’ and continued to be rude and arrogant throughout the evening. No names to be mentioned as they weren’t wearing badges. But I just want that particular waiter to know how terrible their service was and we will be making it known to people who plan to visit there. No one asked if there was any allergens at the beginning, and my wife has been feeling ill since the visit. Absolutely disgusting behaviour from the waiter and I hope he gets recognised for being the worst waiter ever. Sort it out management! If I could give 0 stars for service that would still be too much. Pathetic.

Oh my gosh, the food here was absolutely divine!! There were 5 of us visited, nothing was too much trouble. I had the chicken kebabs and sticky toffee pudding for dessert off of the set menu and it was glorious! The portions are very generous and every mouthful is enjoyable! The staff were very attentive, friendly and happy. Will definitely be coming here again.

This place is fantastic if: You like really bland food, Your expectations are low and/or basic If you prefer flavour, then you’ve come to the wrong place. I don’t understand why people rate it so highly but then if you like basic food which is basically ‘English’ then you’ll love it. The dishes look like they offer more but deliver disappointingly little. Service-wise, the staff are friendly enough but look like they’re really waiting to get on a staff night out or something.

I love coming to this place... it is unreal! I have been to Leandra's on many occasions and this time was a birthday party that seated approximately 16. The atmosphere was great just walking in and we were welcomed with great service which carried on for the rest of the night. To start I had the tomato soup which was a great portion for a starter and tasted great, quite peppery. For my mains, I had a fillet steak which was hard to believe it was a fillet as it was so big. The flavour of the steak was great it felt like I was eating at a steak house, and came with a tomato, mushrooms, peas and unlimited chips in the middle of the table which are so good. To finish I had the chocolate brownie which came with ice cream and topped with a chocolate sauce, crumbs, berries and marangine. It was incredible. What an experience and I have had this same experience every time I've been.

Without doubt the best value restaurant in Plymouth. Very rarely it can be a bit noisy if a large group are in, but it's very rare and would not put me off returning.

The crème brûlée was a disgusting taste and the waitress admitted it was rancid But no apology And when given the bill no money was taken off until I asked and then just the cost of the dessert

My friend and I had a superb dinner here yesterday. Quick and friendly service and delicious food. Had a 2 course menu for about £20 and all of our dishes were delicious. Great value.

I came her for my birthday on 8th July 2024 and I had such a warm welcome, they all went above and beyond for my mum and myself. The food was absolutely amazing and really.gpod portion sizes too. Will be coming back very soon 🙂

Delicious food, compliments to the chef. Presentation and portion sizes first class. We were a group of four and we all thoroughly enjoyed our meals and the price was reasonable. Definitely worth a visit.

Absolutely fantastic experience. The staff were excellent. The food was amazing we all felt well and truly looked after.

I am absolutely devastated at the attitude I received today. Called to say we have a guide dog puppy is it ok to cone in and was told absolutely find. Turned up and was greeted but the most arrogant and rude man who said i could not bring the dog in. I said oh this is a guide dog and i did call, he replied i don’t care. He was then told by another lovely colleague we were allowed in as it is a guide dog and he told the man i don’t care not everyone wants dogs around. I advised our dog is a working dog and had his flash lead on and guide dog coat. The man was so rude i felt completely blindsided and we left. Other customers and staff were completely shocked. I will never ever come here again. Anyone with a vision impairment is not welcome here as stated by this man

Food was quick and fresh. Service was prompt. I was surprised at the menu not being more traditional, nonetheless, the food was really good. I was hoping the meze would be available.

Lamb meatballs starter - 10/10 Chicken kebab main - 2/10. Chicken very very dry BUT… Service - 10/10. Stag party of 17, 5 waiters helping us and when I said about the chicken, he simply removed it from the bill and apologised. Overall experience 4/5 Stars! I would definitely return and try a different main!

Mixed Feelings at Leandra’s Our recent visit to Leandra’s left our group with mixed feelings. While the food undoubtedly impressed us, the service aspect left much to be desired, casting a shadow over our dining experience. Upon arrival, we faced an initial delay as our table was not ready, which led us to the bar area. Unfortunately, the reception here was less than welcoming. The bar staff seemed visibly stressed and somewhat irritated, giving us the uncomfortable impression that serving customers was more of a burden than a part of their job. This was not the warm welcome we had anticipated and it set a subdued tone for the evening. The situation did not improve significantly when we were finally seated. The staff who took our orders carried a similar air of despondence, which made our interactions awkward and made us feel like an imposition rather than valued guests. It was not all gloomy, however. The saving grace of the evening was the cheerful demeanor of the staff member who served our meals. His pleasant attitude was a breath of fresh air and helped salvage what could have been a completely dismal experience. The cuisine, it must be said, was exceptional. Each dish was a delight and thoroughly enjoyed by all at our table. Leandra’s clearly has a kitchen that excels at what it does and it deserves commendation for the high-quality food. Nevertheless, a great dining experience is not made by excellent food alone. The front-of-house experience plays a critical role in ensuring guests feel welcomed and valued. We hope that Leandra’s can address these issues, as the staff’s approach to customer service significantly detracts from the stellar meals they serve. Serving with a smile and engaging positively with customers isn’t just an old adage—it’s an essential part of the hospitality industry. In conclusion, while Leandra’s culinary prowess is undeniable, a revisit seems unlikely unless there are improvements in customer interaction. A little more warmth and consideration from the staff could transform Leandra’s from just a restaurant into a truly inviting dining destination.

What can I say, never ever have I ever been dissatisfied with this place, the food is out of this world, the steak is mouth watering, the service is awesome, they go above and beyond their duties. Would definitely recommend it's perfect in everyday

I went to Leandras for my birthday, lunch with 3 friends, the food was amazing, 3 of us went for the moussaka, it was delicious, the staff were fantastic, I can’t fault this place, it was my first visit in years & I will definitely recommend & return, big portions, fresh vegetables, friendly staff who couldn’t do enough for us. Great service, great value for money delicious drinks and fantastic food. Will be dinning again. Pan fried chicken brest. I has celery on it but its amazing and vegetables on the side and delicious roast potatoes well seasoned.

Chips were undercooked, still frozen. Steak was dry, Over 4 quid for a coke.felt like they was rushing us out the door just trying to take the next person money,instead on focusing on the food & service.

Always a pleasure to dine here. This restaurant has been one of the best in the city for many years with my, long deceased, parents passing on their pleasant experiences over many years.

Delicious food as usual but bill was £2 extra due to being a Bank Holiday, a bit steep, it's not like Mother's Day or Valentine's Day, as we are regular customers we just looked at the usual prices, maybe it could have been mentioned by the waitress

My first visit, although my wife had been before with work colleagues, and I was impressed by all aspects of the evening. Booking a table was easy to do, staff were very welcoming and friendly, starters ( and indeed dessert) were well presented and tasty. I had steak which I like 'well done' and it's one of the few times when I have received a steak cooked evenly throughout. So in summary, well worth a visit and good to see a restaurant that cares about presentation and taste of their food.

What a wonderful restaurant. Each time my family and I have eaten here the food has been delicious and very reasonable. Friday night was no different. The food was wonderful and the waiters so attentive and accommodating. This occasion our waiter was James and he was superb! Nothing was too much trouble and he went out of his way to make sure all our needs were met. All the waiters are faultless and this does make such a difference. I was surprised by my soldier son and daughter in law waiting at a table and so the evening was perfect! Well done everyone at Leandras! And thank you

Fantastic restaurant, we walked in and although they were fully booked they still accommodated us with a smile. We were early enough to choose from the set menu with lots of choice. The food was delicious with generous portions, so much so that we sadly couldn't manage a desert! We will be back

Dropped in without a booking on a night when there were 3 live events at venues close by so most places were booked up. Staff were very accommodating and fitted us in on a table for 2 for quick pre theatre dinner. Food was very tasty and well presented and staff were friendly and attentive.

This was a fabulous find at very short notice. The service was excellent, helpful friendly staff. The menu had so many lovely dishes was difficult to choose. The food was so tasty and great portions. If we lived near by would certainly be making another reservation. Just a shame we don’t.

Beautiful food, great service and very reasonably priced. We stopped in for dinner before a show and opted for 2 courses from the set menu. The Thai fish cakes were lovely, very tasty with just the right amount of spice. The seafood curry was amazing! Possibly the best I've ever had. (And I've had a few!) The staff were friendly and attentive, especially Lucie who bent over backwards to be helpful. I hadn't been here in at least 20 years, and I have to say it has only got better. Will definitely visit again.
