Fabulous couple of hours spent with fabulous friends! We were served by Alex who was simply awesome - super helpful and knew his stuff, made suggestions and also made us laugh Great food, banter & service Definitely worth a visit and hopefully Alex will be your waiter!!

We had our wedding at the Custom House this year on the 18th April. The whole day was perfect from start to finish and we couldn't have asked for more! The venue is absolutely stunning, we knew this was our venue as soon as we viewed it. They were also very relaxed and allowed us to organise outside vendors for things like decor and entertainment etc. It was so great having a central venue as most of our guests were local to Plymouth so didn't have to travel far. The backdrop of the barbican and the harbour made an amazing backdrop for photos! Levi & Jo made sure the day ran very smoothly with no hiccups infact all of the staff were fantastic as was the catering and custom drinks we asked to be made. Nothing was too much trouble and everything was really good value for money. We are so happy we booked the Custom House for our wedding day it really was something special. Thank you!

Great spot for dinner for a big group. Food was really good and we had shake your own cocktails for a bit of a laugh. Our host Mackenzie was fab and very attentive. Would recommend!

We have just had a wake at The Custom House-Cellar Bar & it was outstanding. The buffet was so tasty and extremely professionally laid out. Plenty of fresh tea & coffe for the non drinkers & a great selection of drinks to raise a toast. The care & compassion of the staff was first class. The venue was so clean and warmy lit. Gentle music in the background made the day to celebrate the life of our loved one so memorable. Special thank you to the professionalism & kindness of Levi & Lou. Once again, thank you Custom House.

We celebrated our engagement party at the Custom House and were blown away from the second we enquired to the day after. Messages were answered promptly. Early access given for the venue for me and my partner to decorate. On the evening the staff were excellent, and we had compliment after compliment on the venue. It was everything we had hoped it would be and more, so private for us. Thankyou to the whole team.

Held my friends baby shower here and it was beautiful. Such a lovely chilled atmosphere and the food was really tasty. Staff really attentive and such a smooth process, would definitely recommend. Thank you so much!

A fantastic experience. The staff were excellent too. The manager was amazing and so helpful and very competent at her job - kind and very approachable. I would highly recommend this place and would give it a five star recommendation in every respect.

Front of house Levi was lovely and created a special cocktail for our night which was so yummy! 😊 Shout out to Jo the events planner to answering all my questions and being super helpful during the planning stage!! The long room is gorgeous and partnered with Pretty Prop Co doing the decor made for a stunning event! Would come back again, the food was good portions and everyone said how delicious it was! Perfect location for a party. We privatised the top ballroom for our winter ball, which was stunning. Great price, includes tables and chairs. Staff were super helpful. Brilliant experience all round would recommend for any party.

We had our 2nd party this year at the custom house & again it was outstanding. The staff are professional, caring & very very attentive. They knew my idea for decorating the fabulous long room for our Halloween/Anniversary party & once again did not dissapoint! Nothing is ever too much trouble for them. Huge shout out to Levi, a legend & also to Lily. She is the most sweetest, hardworking young lady. Highly recommended for any occasion. Thank you Custom House.

Excellent cocktails and a good atmosphere

Eventhough the cocktail was nice and the decor in the entrance looks instagramable at the end of night the toilets was flooded. And that is the only access to exit the pub. So me and my friends got wet sandals and it was slippery. Could've give 4 stars but unfortunately I will say that this pub have is unhygienic, have terrible health and safety

Really nice venue for a private party

The service here was amazing, came in with a large group of friends for bottomless brunch. Staff were attentive and drink selection was great. Food was absolutely delicious and a great portion size. The venue itself is beautiful, would highly recommend.

We had our gym social here yesterday for a bottomless brunch! Was the best one so far. Massive food portions and such a massive range of drinks for the bottomless. Staff were so friendly and helpful and the building is absolutely beautiful! Will definitely be returning and spreading the word about this little hidden gem!

I hosted a birthday party for my husband and hired the Long Room. The venue is elegant and the food was delicious. There is a grand piano in the room which you can use, so I hired a pianist to play for a couple of hours. Staff were friendly and so accommodating and the event planner was brilliant - she responded quickly to any questions I had and was really helpful. Great location, fabulous food and a totally memorable experience!

A great venue in an iconic location. A fabulous place to host a corporate party or special occasion in their long room. The staff are extremely accommodating and the food was delicious and felt special. A beautiful building to enjoy and the private bar works well. They have a grand piano which you can hire a musician for which gives a beautiful atmosphere.

The space is nice and the drinks were good but the entire thing was ruined when I went to the bar and saw the manager talking to his staff so so poorly. I believe he was called Levi, and he belittled the guy taking our order right infront of us. The guy serving us (who by the way I cannot fault, was on it and really polite) asked Levi a question and he snapped at him saying ‘I’ve JUST said that to you.’ And then look at me almost proud of making the guy feel so small???? That is not how you manage a team, get respect from your team, support someone who doesn’t know something or impress your customers. To the guy who was serving us - I would look for a job elsewhere where you are supported and respected! This experience just ruined the entire rest of our experience and safe to say I will not be returning and neither will the rest of our group.

We had a party in The Long Room in The Custom House & WOW, what an amazing night! From the moment the planning started, nothing was too much trouble for all the staff. Down to the finest detail, they dealt with everything. All of the guest were blown away with the room, the cocktails & drinks but most of all the kindness & professionalism of the staff. Nina, who made sure the drinks flowed at the bar all night ( and with a constant smile). Levi, who is an absolute legend! The staff behind the scenes & finally the owners, Sarah & Charley. Thank you for everything!! I cannot recommend the Custom House bar enough, wish we could give more than 5 stars. Roll on the next one.

Drinks with the girls and was not disappointed, cocktails were delicious and great selection on offer, something for everyone’s taste. This place has a great vibe, beautiful decor and friendly helpful staff. The girls will be going back.

We came here after dinner, we just wanted a couple drinks. When we got in there the atmosphere was strange, it was absolutely dead in there. The music was playing off someone’s phone as it had Amazon adverts on it. We got given the menus and decided on the same drink, which the young waitress didn’t even know what it was. We got charged more for it then we should as she was knew and clearly didn’t know about the offer. We then got told we must pay for the drinks straight away which was strange. Off she went to the bar and chatted for ages, she didn’t know what she was doing clearly, it took about 15 minutes to get two watered down absolutely disgusting drinks. The staff were very quick to make their own drinks and drink cocktails in front of customers which isn’t great. We decided to leave and couldn’t wait to get out of there. We went to the bottling plant which was amazing and the service was great. Had high hopes for this place, I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone and would not return.

The Long Room upstairs. We used this for a business meeting, the room is wonderful, and the staff are fantastic. They were completely efficient right from the start when we booked the venue, helping on the day with everything I.T. etc. We got everything that we asked for our meeting. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the buffet food was delicious, many thanks to the chef! This is a fantastic venue for any event and can highly recommend it, and we hope to return again in the future. Thanks to Jo, Charlie, Levi, the Chef and all the team who were involved in making our meeting such a special experience.

Chilled vibe, great background music, brilliant cocktails. Highly recommended. The staff are really friendly and overall it's a new one on my regular visits to the barbican

Went here for a few drinks in the sun on a Saturday afternoon. It seemed chaotic! I saw one table have a tray of drinks spilt over them, before it happened to us. The poor staff seemed to be very inexperienced trying to wait with trays between tightly packed tables- accidents seemed inevitable not their fault either. First drink took 20 mins to come, then about 5 mins for the next one and 20 for the next. If you are going to do table service you need to do it well if you are charging top whack for drinks not have 20 min waits for drinks to arrive- that is a little excessive. Other location is great!

Amazing service, really attentive! We went to custom house for my friends hen party. We had afternoon tea/bottomless brunch. The new management really spoilt us. We spent the whole day there! Definitely the best bottomless in Plymouth! Thank you!

We booked the bottomless afternoon tea as it seemed to be a nice afternoon the selection and also different rinks options. My wife went for the bottomless Prosecco option whilst I went for the bottomless cocktails. I was concerned that maybe we wouldn't get many drinks as the cocktails were all made fresh - I needn't have worried. The 3 members of staff worked tirelessly throughout our meal, and despite the bar being pretty busy, our glasses were never empty for long. I decided to go for the espresso martini, and all the drinks mixed by the bar staff were great. The afternoon tea itself was also very good - really good savoury selection (sandwiches, sausage roll and scotch egg - all homemade and delicious), the sweet selection was also fantastic and plain and fruited scones - what more could you want. Would definitely recommend this

Beautiful building, lovely staff but this is a cocktail bar not somewhere to go for dinner. Food was ok but menu very limited and would have been no main course if you were veggie. Food over priced,overly seasoned and inconsistent. Two main courses of steak couldn’t have been more different although ordered the same. Go for drinks and a good time but better off eating at home or having a chippy tea!

Stopped early evening for a drink and meal. Shepherds pie was excellent and desserts of affogato & chocolate Orange rice pudding were equally good. Friendly and efficient service will definitely return.
