Thoroughly enjoy every meal I've ordered. Staff are polite and service has always been quick.

If you live out plympton or near colebrook this is one of the best chippys you can go to, highly recommend this chippy without a doubt. Fair and competitive pricing, friendly and always a service with a smile.

Just polished off regular cod, small chips and small Chinese curry sauce.... Oh my!!! It was so good!! I walked in and was served straight away. Food was ready in really good time and was perfect. Thank you

Service is good. People are friendly. The batter is just what I like, crispy and light.

Great local chippy (which is obvious when you see the queues at peak times) Always friendly service and good food, my personal favourite being the chicken balls! Worth a visit :) Tip - there's a short stay shoppers car park just up the road between the building site and the small industrial estate.

Fish covered in salt.so bad couldn't eat it,chips cold.had to complain, firstly owners refused a refund and argued with me.then refunded half the bill.

Love this chippy. Hot tasty food with a smile. We have eaten from here many times over the years and it's consistently delicious.

AVOID OUT OF PRINCIPLE - Never in my life have I received such appalling service. I travelled half way across the city to visit this takeaway, and when I got home I found that an item from my order was missing. This meant that my husband only had chips for dinner. I called them up straight away in the hope that they could refund this item over the phone, but was told I'd have to travel all the way back if I wanted a refund. So we drove back, only to be accuses by the owner (?) that we were lying, and how did he know we had not received the item. I asked him why I would lie and then drive back across the city if this wasn't true. He stood there and argued with me and said he didn't believe me! Eventually he gave me my money back for the item, but no apology, no customer service, no offer of compensation for driving all the way back over. And to top it all off, he told me to not bother ever coming back! Absolutely shocking! I would not give this company any business out of pure principle, and would not like to line the pockets of this vile man.

DO NOT give these appalling people your hard earned money! Reported item missing from order as soon as we arrived home. Was told to travel back to get it (in which time the food would be cold) Gave my name and said I would try to go back later. Went back only to be accused of being a liar! Owner said how do I know what you had. Why would I phone right away if I wasn't telling the truth! Was told by him not to come back. No worries will NEVER go back there. AVOID as food not up to much anyway!!! Would give zero review if I could. TERRIBLE!

Bang average, chips OK, service fine, price about right but awful curry sauce, had the chip shop style (you can get Chinese or Irish as well) but it was so weak and watery I had to leave it (can't ever remember chucking curry sauce away before).Please make the curry sauce thicker!

The staff are always really polite. Food is prepared quickly and taste great. The batter on the bartered sausages is nice and crunchy, not soggy like some places in Plymouth. Really recommend. Not bad price either.

Really great fish and chips. Fast and friendly service and great food. Chips crispy on outside and fluffy inside. Batter crispy and not overly greasy. Really impressed and will definitely return!

This is our go-to chip shop even though we live in Plymstock this is the best by far.Crispy batter on the fish lots of chips and friendly staff. The prices reflect the times but worth it.

First visit ever and very pleasantly surprised, had to wait 10mins But that was OK because the Fish was cooked fresh in front of me ,Very Nice indeed and a choice of 3 types of curry sauces.and I will Definitely return.

I have been frequenting this place now for a few years now. They are brilliant! Every Friday I phone them up and order a variety of dishes for my co-workers. They have been faultless! The chips are great and so is the fish. Not one complaint!

Ordered fish & chips and large chips. Waited for fish to cook. Drove home looking forward to our tea. The chips were dried out I would say reheated they were that awful! Why when you treat your family to fish and chips do they serve up food thats not of their best quality!

Chips taste good and fish are freshly made. All staff is nice and polite. This is my go to fish and chips shop.

The girl at the counter charged me for cheesy chips I asked for large chips. 8.80 for cheesy chips and a cheese burger is extortion for the rubbish meal you get. Never again.

Love this place. We visit here regularly when visiting family in nearby Plympton and these are definitely the best chips around. We love the face there is a choice of curry sauces: “chip shop”, “Irish” or “Chinese”. All good. All the standard fayre from a local chippy, but all delicious and great service. I highly recommend!

Stuck at work so decided to try them the young lady was very pleasant and polite had regular fish as didn’t have small very nice chunky cod crispy batter was cooked fresh had small chips so was just enough and chip shop curry was abit runny and tasteless so only disappointment will try the chines curry next time overall very good chop shop

We decided to have a change from our usual chippy for once and this shop always has plenty of people queuing so figured it would be worth a try. The shop is operating an efficient process given the Covid situation and its location, staff were polite and friendly. Unfortunately on this occasion the fish and chips were just average and the portion sizes were smaller compared to what we were used to (but still enough). We will try again at some point as plenty of others are giving it 5* ratings but on this occasion the experience wasn't quite good enough to tempt us away from our regular fish and chip shop.

After hearing many positive reviews of Colebrook Chippy, me and my family decided to visit down Plymouth just to have a taste of the "best fish & chips" in Plymouth ourselves. We were NOT disappointed at all! Even better than anticipated, staffs wore masks, they were nice and friendly, the fish was so soft and flakey inside, batter was crispy, fried to perfection, chips and sausages were amazing as well, highly and genuinely recommend! If I can give it 10 stars i would! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Having tried the 2 largest chip shops in the area and been very disappointed I decided to try Colebrook and will be using it in the future. Great tasting chips which had been cooked in clean oil and the fish and sausages were first class. The other bonus was they were so much cheaper and the young staff were very pleasant

Best chippy around plympton In my opinion. Good price and good food.

Well to start was greeted by a rude staff member... As a disabled individual with the legal ID, Government Vulnerable letter and emergency needles! Visited the shop to purchase a takeaway. Although a notice was on the door stating masks did not need to be worn if exempt I Was refused entry and told to leave. This disgraceful behaviour, worse still contempt for disabled individuals is beyond comprehension- Let alone a breach of the equality laws and current covid legislation. My partner was allowed entry and i was left outside in the pouring rain. Be warned these lawbreakers have nothing but contempt for disabled people and the law. Nil stars would have been given if possible.

Ten pound 20 pence for cheesy chips, and curry sauce. And a cheeseburger. The cheeseburger was to a very poor standard. Definitely not worth the money. The curry sauce was more like brown water.and not fake comments buddy. The prices I've put down are true. And you're cheeseburger was disgusting. Stay well clear of this place.

I'm glad I found this little chippy, the food is lovely, none of those barely cooked, white powdery chips that others places serve up, these chips were actually golden brown and well cooked. Nice staff, very clean shop. I will definitely be back again!

Extremely disappointed, the curry sauce was so watery you could have mistaken it for dirty dish water, all you could taste the battered sausage grease, the chips felt under cooked and a little raw in the middle, first time I’ve been there for years after a terrible Experiance that time, given a second chance, won’t be giving a third!

These really are the very best fish n chips in the area. The service is always friendly, and the staff and premises are Covid compliant. Each order is freshly cooked, so there is a short wait, but it is well worth it! We travel some distance from our home to buy our takeaway from here, and we are never disappointed.

Without question one of the best fish and chips that I have eaten. Haddock in a very light yet deceptively crispy batter with a very healthy portion of tasty chips - all cooked to order (we phoned) at a reasonable price. Topped up with a serving of friendly staff. I'll be back!

best fish and chips in the south west. been around the south west coast and this is definitely the best place to go for a good fish and chips. there's another one down the road called Kingfisher but dont go there. this one has better batter and the chips are great.

Took my family here after a day out in plymouth. It has amazing cod, which is flavourful and moist. The batter is not greasy and the chips are nice and crispy. Also great portions for the kids. Will be coming back again next time.

First time eating from here and have to say it was the best fish and chips we've had in ages! The chips were really good and no broken rubbish bits. The fish tasted amazing and the batter was perfect! Will definitely be eating from here again.

The food in here is delicious cooked to order,batter on the fish is light and crispy,chips are excellent,and there isn't too long a waiting time ,I don't want to recommend it too highly because more people will come and the queue will get bigger,but hooking aside it's the best fish supper we've had in Devon since moving here 15 years ago.

Best fish and chips in Plymouth. I took my friend there last week, she completely agreed. Food always hot, well cooked, fresh and tasty.

I have tried all the chippies in the area and this is my go-to. The fish is beautifully white, the batter crisp and not dripping in grease and the chips cooked well and also free from fat. Good local chippie.

Well very unimpressed with tonight as had to pay alot more than I wanted to pay chips were like there the dregs of what was left. dry and tasteless chucked curry and sauce as had to pay extra on card for them to except so last and final visit here !!!

A regular haunt for us and would usually rate it 5 stars, however sometimes get the dregs of the chips and can be small and bitty. I know probably all chip shops do this. Also offer a few Chinese dishes and several different flavour curry sauces. Well worth a try if you live in Plympton.
