Jess, Finn and Sam were all so lovely and made me feel so comfortable while I was there drinking. I would deffo come back just to see them again. They definitely all deserve a pay rise :)

My wife and I joined our daughter in law for late drinks. We enjoyed this place and the doorman were friendly and chatty. We enjoyed our visit.

Well what can I say ,aaliyah was so attentive to me and my wife when we visited for the first time. A credit to her job, nothing was too much trouble. 6 plus stars.

Poorly ran establishment where they basically have staff that beg for good reviews presumably for some sort of rewards, management is clueless and have been playing music so loud I couldn't even order a drink without shouting or being heard at all. After leaving because it was full of drunken idiots being influenced to drink beyond recognition I could hear the music coming from the walkabout down the street to the end of the roundabout ,that in itself it's quite simply ridiculous. The bouncers are always overly aggressive for no reason even if you are sober on entry, it's sad because most walk abouts are nice but just like the Wetherspoons down the road these want to operate as nightclubs instead of decent pubs fueled by cocaine addicted tweens and drunk middle aged men wanting to harass young women and re live their disappointing youth. *Edit* as you can see from the replies to many reviews the manager clearly has no regard for professionalism and has the ego of a man far above their meager position and measly salary they think they are god's gift even when they are in breach of several laws and policies 👍 just because you have a little badge that says manager doesn't mean you own the place you'll do well to remember that 👍

Made a booking for a group of 6/7 of us for a birthday meal begining of Aug. Turned up on the evening of 13th to be told they had sent an email cancelling the booking due to holding an event. Check my emails and there was no cancellation email but a reminder email of the booking sent on 12th around lunch time. Spoke to manager who clearly didn't care about the screw up, very shocking customer service on their part for allowing them booking and then not to sent or ring to apologise to cancel. When I spoke to the manager there wasn't even any apology. Working in the industry myself they would have known about this event they had on before the booking was made, so why accept any bookings. And to have the cheek to send a reminder email the day before as well. I've been going to Walkabout for years, and fact we had 20 people joining us after the meal there for drinks. We all are now not bothering with this place after the rudeness from management and the bad communication.

Great pub atmosphere in the venue, really friendly and nice bar staff including James, Lauren and Jess who served me well made drinks. Seems to be a really clean and well run bar with a great local atmosphere with space for younger and older audiences both :))))))

Lauren and James gave me the best time, serving the best pints to me and my friends and always keeping such a big smile throughout, even when we might not have been quite as sober. I hope more bars hire people like her.

What a great place to come with friends and family for a few drinks it does get busy but the best places do. The staff are also very friendly and work extremely hard in this busy enviroment but credit to them we come here regually .

I've Just been requested today Friday 30th August 2024 to try out walkabout new menu and oh my god the wings were always amazing here but this new menu if waht I've just tried is anything to go by has just made my taste buds do a summersault, I just had and demolished their new Buffalo & Blue cheese chicken burger and chips for £11.49 it was for me a real Wow, that good i had to tell the chef personally how dam good that was. I certainly will be back after that mouth full.

Given a chance I would specifically rate this place a negative five. The chicken wings were so bad, i mean it was unapologetically pathetic. The staffs were least bothered with taking our orders as they were busy with their phones and were having a discussion among themselves.

Good music, good night, good service. as a fairly frequent visitor i cannot fault this place, will try the food here at some point too :-)

They didn’t let us in because of our colours they said to us your best bit is going to tescos and drink up in some local park.

Utter disgrace and disrespectful the security guard was part of the far right people… which he tried to ruin our night. If your mixed coloured person I would never go here again.

Booked a table for 7 at £10 per head to watch Euros final. Table was booked for 7pm to 12.30am. Due to work commitments etc part of my party arrived at 7.30 and were refused entry by the obnoxious neanderthal doormen who swore at us! NEVER AGAIN! £70 down the drain. Website unclear biggest rip off going! 3 of our 7 strong party left the venue as the rest of us were not allowed in! They had been there since 7pm and had not even managed to use the £70 credit at the bar because of the sheer volume of people waiting. BEWARE FOLKS

Glenn and the team are always fantastic, it's the only venue in the city worth watching any sports! The Disco Landlord hyping up the crowds and free beer showers! Incredible atmosphere! Shame about the football 😳

Well, what can I say after having an evening with my daughter to watch the euros and had a most enjoyable evening, the atmosphere was electric and the barman who served us most of the evening was called Euan he was so polite under the pressure and nothing was too much touble, Tried the chicken wings as a snack boy were they good, Look forward to coming back again soon. Popped down for the euros, was not disappointed! Spoke to the bar staff, kid named Zak was very friendly. Ordered some jerk wings that were great and the chef even came out to serve me. A very tall Scottish man who was very friendly and a good laugh. Overall very pleasant experience, keep up the good work fellas!

I was served today by a lovely gent called Zak, he went over both the drinks menu and the food menu which was very helpful of him, was also very cheerful and happy to be there.

Came in here a few days ago, and wow what we a night me and my family had. The bar staff was amazing so helpful and happy. We got specking to Zak the most and what a polite and happy man he is. Gave us some information to help my daughter who is attending university down here. And always served us with a smile, and helped us get the best drink deals etc top bloke x

Well tried this bar as it was recommended to us and can say I found it to be relaxing atmosphere nice food and a lovely pint of Guinness served by Zak with a lovely smile and nice warmth about him.

If you want to watch sport then it’s the best place in Plymouth by a distance. Great viewing spots and the best Walkabout I’ve been in. Beer selection is so-so and food is adequate, but for watching the football it can’t be beaten.

Brilliant sports bar and cosy area to pop in for a pint.

Had a nice chat with Lauren and she told me how much she loves walkabout and how she never ever wants to leave! Her prospects of wanting to be the new assistant manager are really great and aspirational. She has a long way to go but within the next few years I can definitely see her running things! Lovely girl and I hope she gets what she dreams of <3

Sports bar come nightclub. Plenty of TVs for sport. Typical pub menu. Drinks are on the pricey side. Music gets VERY loud later on - less of a pub when this happens. Never seen as many bouncers as there were when we visited - must be problems at times.

Came in for food with my son, place was spotless and staff friendly asked for ID on my 19 year old son. Food was outstanding and well presented. Guy behind the bar always busy cleaning and serving.
