Great food, good for lunch. Better when it’s quiet and we prefer booth tables that are sometimes available. Ordered arancini, rustica pizza and cheesecake.

Absolutely amazing place to dine, we were let down with another restaurant that was short staff, we headed straight into Zizzi and was sat right away. Food was delicious, had my first Calzone, which I very much enjoyed, my partner had carbonara special and he told me he loved it. Definitely on our list of restaurants to visit again. I don’t normally leave reviews but this place looked like it needed a deep clean. Looking up from where you sit there’s a layer of fluff coating all the services and sticking to the interior features. Gave me the ick. Food wasn’t great, but maybe I ordered wrong. The service was friendly.

My friend and I went here on a Monday evening at about 17:30. We were sat and ordered quickly as the restaurant was very quiet. We were still eating our starters and the waiter Ryan came over to check if our food was nice, typical with sit in restaurants, however he just took our plates away when there was still food on it without asking if we were done (which we were not). Our mains came out quickly and all of the food was amazing. When it came to getting the bill Ryan slammed it down on the table and stormed off, my friend had a blue light discount which meant that the bill had to be revaluated as we didn't get the chance to tell him when initially asked and again he huffed and stormed off and slammed the new bill on the table. I have never had such behaviour from a waiter which is a shame as the food was amazing.

The food was satisfactory. Service was slow. To the point of one party of prospective customers walking out after 10 mins of being ignored and going to Franca Mancas across the way! Our cutlery was slung on the table in a pile. Felt like a Wetherspoons. We visited as we had 30% off all food plus a free birthday meal. Told the waitress up front, she said fine show them when paying. We did, and lo and behold they refused the free meal, and turns out the 30% off all food is nothing off the sort. Don’t fall for it! Took the gloss off a bit. Won’t be returning.

We eat here a couple of times a year when visiting family in Plymouth and always have a lovely meal. Tonight was no exception but I need to mention how amazing Vicky and the manager Johnny were with understanding my little girl’s needs. She is 4 and eating out is very difficult for us for a number of reasons. Today they went above and beyond and she actually ate more food (the Hettie Spaghetti dish!) than she’s eaten in weeks. They were informative and patient about allergies and they didn’t rush us at all - even thought the restaurant was heaving with people being turned away. They gave us a table with a little extra space for buggy and highchair & everything was done with a smile. Nothing was too much trouble. Wouldn’t hesitate to go back - we may even go again tomorrow! We don’t have a Zizzi’s restaurant near us at home - the nearest is about 45-60 minutes away so it’s a treat when we get to enjoy the great tasting food. Plymouth Zizzi’s really is one of the best. Thank you to the caring staff - you made our day today!

From the get go we were greeted with a very warm welcome. The gentlemen who seated us was exceptionally understanding and accommodating and ensured we had the perfect space for my wife and I, along with our newborn son. Unfortunately I did not get his name but can only assume he was a manager, either way his customer service and interaction with my family was second to none. This was further supported by Tansy, who was our server for the evening. Tansy offered great recommendations and showed a superb knowledge of the products on offer. Thank you all for a great experience.

Would not at all recommend this place. It's very overpriced - we only went because we had half price vouchers - and the customer service was shocking. The waitress didn't catch something I said and instead of politely asking me to repeat myself she said in a very rude manner 'I didn't catch a word you just said'. The food itself I'd describe as passable otherwise would be one star review! Will not be going again.

We had a lovely meal at Zizzi this evening. The food was excellent as always and the cocktails were great. Our server, Tansy, was brilliant and made really good recommendations which is always appreciated. All of the staff members at the Plymouth location are so friendly and accommodating, they made sure we had plenty of space to fit our pushchair and took the time to talk to us about our baby, too. Thank you all!

Very nice food that caters to all palettes and dietary requirements. Tansy was a nice waitress and helpful in helping us choose our menu items. A bit loud but nice, clean atmosphere. I highly recommend the Rustica Picante pizza for people who like a mix of tangy meats and flavourful cheese and garnish (ask for a side of hot honey for a kick of spice!)

I went here yesterday on Valentine's Day and I was greatly impressed. They had separated tables so they had more tables and a full house and the stuff were incredible all the staff, they took our orders quickly but still said sorry for the wait, they always came over to check if everything was ok even though you could see they were run of the feet, the bar staff were running around like headless chickens but we still got our drinks quick and the chefs worked really hard so our food was amazing perfect temperature and no wait. I highly recommend this place and I will be going back. The staff there should be highly praised. Thank you x

Valentines date ruined. Only able to order off set menu which we were unaware of. Our server (woman with glasses and a bob) was so passive aggressive it made me and my partner feel really intimidated and upset. She was clearly overwhelmed with how many customers there were, maybe they overbooked? She got my starter order wrong but I didn’t mention as it was so busy but she then got my dessert order wrong 3 times and when I mentioned it the third time she just gave me a takeaway tub and told me to do it myself. Terrible service.

Great service , friendly and funny

It was quite quiet time, maybe a total of 10 tables including ours. I ordered the upgraded 5 cheese carbonara with the ribbon pasta and it wasnt until it came out i saw it was with normal spagetti, noone told me on ordering it would be served like that because they were out of the other pasta or i would have ordered something else. When the mid meal check was made i asked why was it not served with the better pasta as we pay more for it and the waitress said they had run out. She would take money off the meal to compensate. When the bill came nothing had been taken off but we were left 20 mins waiting to even say anything and we had to catch a bus so didn't have time for her to go take it off and wait more time to pay. Very dissapointed in being promised something that never materialised.

Very good pizza and very good dessert

The restaurant was relatively busy when I arrived, and I had to wait around four minutes to be seated. However, the staff were friendly, which made the wait more pleasant. The food itself was lovely, but the drinks were served warm in a cold cup—not the best combination. It would be much better if both were properly chilled. One downside was the extra charge of £1 per sauce on top of the bill, which didn’t really make sense considering the overall cost of the meal. Despite that, it was a good experience overall, and I’d consider returning.
