Walked in on a Monday night around 9pm. The barman was so welcoming, put the outside lights in the garden especially for us. Thank you for your warm welcome 🙏. This place looks nothing from the outside but don't let that put you off, jem of a little pub x

We stopped here for lunch before doing the Heddon’s Mouth walk. We found a table, grabbed a menu and then went to the bar to place our order. We were told that orders were not currently being taken as the chef was very busy with a table of 10. Not sure why they couldn’t just take the order and say it would be xx minutes. So - we fully returned to the bar 10 minutes later and placed our order. We both ordered sandwiches. We had hardly sat back down when our orders arrived. How very dusappointing. Supermarket sliced bread and pre mixed sandwich fillers. £9 each. Hardly made by a chef. Very disappointing.

Ordered food staff very good, food arrived and the 2 pasta dishes were cold, so we took them back and they were reheated. The chicken on the pasta was in breadcrumbs and burnt . The third dish was Brie, bacon and cranberry hot sandwich served with fry’s and coleslaw, the bacon was dry and rubbery and the Brie was hard to find as there was so little. Fries cold coleslaw looks like it had seen better days. I did return the Third meal and got a refund which was offered. The staff out front were very polite and agreed that it was not acceptable.

This is as a traditional pub as you are going to get. Owners were really friendly and the food menu was spot on. This pub is located off the main road but is very easy to find. Not much parking outside but there is a road opposite, which is where we parked. These sort of hidden gems need to be supported so definitely pop in if you are local, even if it's just for a drink.

This is an AWESOME! Place. That Anchor inbedded in the bar is truly Brilliant. Giant chains, ships beams melted ships cannon for steel pins in the bar. The cannons outside really make this place remarkable. The staff are terrific, the drinks were great. A good stock of 0.0 Alcohol beer and ciders and Guiness. 😁 Loved it, and look forward visiting again, and again.

Going to The Rolle Quay Inn, Barnstaple for a traditional sunday roast is a must, not only is the food amazing with ample portions, the staff themselves are inpeccable too with amazing politeness. My one and only favourite place to eat.
