The best restaurants in North Devon South West

Ordered a veggie pizza with pineapple on and it came pretty quickly but was missing the pineapple and the extra dip that I had paid for. I called them and they offered to refund the extra cost or bring me the missing bits. Came 5 mins later with a big tub of pineapple and two more dips 🥰 Thank you!

Missing waffles fries and churros!! Can’t get through to the shop on the number to request they deliver the rest of my order, which takes you to the Exmouth shop!

The food was good and the staff were friendly and efficient. Sadly the pub has turned into a dog park. Our meal was interrupted by lots of barking which was stressful. Despite notices asking people to keep their dogs on leads and on the floor one couple had their pug on a chair and were feeding it from their plate. Not nice.

We have been coming to woolacombe for over 33 years now and have always payed a visit to the red barn and then go to the beach . We decided we would go for our dinner there today as i went in with my husband.I spoke to the gentleman behind the bar and he said it has now changed hands .so I thought great .this should be nice food. I placed my order for 2 meals and 2 drinks .to find the bill was so high so I questioned it at the bar and they they gave me my receipt as I said it seemed a bit high for what I ordered the young lad said the glass of wine was £10.95 which i said was too high priced .i accept the price of the meals if they was worth paying for but they was not worth what i paid .I was really shocked at the price .we had our meals come to the table to find they didn't look very appetising but they were just about edible .looking around the rest of the place there were dirty tables the floor was dirty .I spoke to a member of staff and explained how I felt .and said we would not be visiting the red barn again then left Overall very disappointing

Recently moved to the area and popped in on the off chance last night for food and today for lunch , and neither visit disappointed. The food was hot and very tasty and the staff were very lovely and friendly. We ve eaten at many wether spoons and I always have the ramen soup . It was hot and will be back again. My partner had wings that were also tasty and hot . We will definitely be back soon x

We actually came twice. It was really cosy and nice food. The fish pie was delicious as was the salmon but my friend felt the sea bass whilst nice would have been much nicer woth a sauce. Lovely staff and not unreasonable prices

This is a really good pub and does really spectacular food, they made my 60th birthday special as all staff came out and sang happy birthday to me. Would highly recommend it.

Good welcome, but very very slow food delivery on a quiet lunchtime. When the food did arrive it was terrible, burnt, very salty and greasy. One had to be sent back, another 20 minute wait! Had to go to another establishment to eat something to take the salty taste away. At least the bar man tried to recompense with free coffee. Will not return very disappointed as came on a recommendation on our day off!

Great pub, atmosphere lively and great grub. Portion sizes are generous - I had the dirty fries with chilli and hot dog another night. Busy so had to sit in garden but much quieter than inside.

My partner and I had a lovely meal here to celebrate his birthday. It was a quiet evening, so we were lucky enough to choose where to sit and eat. Naturally, we chose a table with a sea view to accompany our meal which added to the atmosphere of the evening. The service was excellent and we both felt very welcome, we received our food within 10 minutes of ordering and the portion sizes were great value for money. We will visit again the next time we are back in Combe Martin.

I like the pub, but they changed the food menu 4 months ago and I struggle to find anything to eat. It's all high fat food. Tonight (Saturday) there was hardly anyone in the pub and I choose Tacos with crispy chicken, that's what I got, nothing else, no guacamole, no sasla, no sauce, no sour cream, nothing to gel it together. Very bland. Shame. Simple food like Cod and chips and Ham, egg and chips. Maybe it would be fuller.

Not very nice, needs massive refurb. Garden disgusting, toilets disgusting and £6.50 for a pint of 1664 to add insult to injury.
