The best restaurants in North Devon South West

New management really giving it a go to turn this pup around. Some food offerings starting up but this time we only had a drink. Kind staff new management looking to do the right thing. Been newly decorated inside. Warm and inviting and the beer good.

Had a takeaway from here twice in the last 2 weeks and food was lovely both times! Good prices too

Poor service. Impolite staff. Terrible food. No wonder it was the only place with seats available when everywhere else was busy. Avoid avoid avoid.

Avoid Avoid Avoid!!!! With a dislike for meat, I ordered the vegetable curry with vegetable rice. Got it home & found a huge lump of beef in it. Rang them, they argued we'd ordered a different item. When I argued back I was told to bring it back then... A 15 mile round journey! Even my partners meal tasted awful. Lost a couple of customers there, well done, great for business

Great cafe and great service. Went during a busy period and the food was excellent. Reasonably priced too. Will be back!

Always good food here and never have to wait too long, cash only which I fully support. Seems very clean and the staff are great.

Unfortunaltely the chicken was just not fit to eat, it was completely over cooked and 1 fillet barely the size of coke bottle lid Chips were ok

This place is a total disgrace the landlady (Lou) who is a alcoholic with shaking hands serving your food . Poor quality of food too add All microwave or pre cooked food And Gloria is even worse total nut job I strongly advise not to visit this place. I miss the original owners, they knew how to run a campsite and a pub But these to women (Gloria and Lou) have no clue And I hope they lose this place and replace them with true people who care about the site and the pub AVOID THIS PLACE

Walked into the restaurant on a Sunday at 1.30pm with my wife an son for a Sunday lunch. Was told by the staff that we'd have to book and they couldn't surve us any food. I have never been in a situation as stupid as this in an empty restaurant before. There was 2 people sat in the whole place and 3 staff members, so hardly packed out. The rough looking blonde woman behind the bar seemed to take great delight in telling us she couldn't serve us.

Had a very good long weekend break in the recently refurbished bedrooms. Could not fault the staff who helped us during our stay.

Great place for coffee and cake especially if you have little ones. Coffee good and best value in the town. Staff always efficient and friendly. Seating inside and out both with good views and the kids have freedom to play. Even got a loyalty card.

A lovely friendly little cafe with lots of choice. Delicious breakfast and drinks ❤️ grandson loved his hot choc! Would go again for sure!

A very welcome find when not much else was open on a wet post- Christmas morning. The menu looked interesting and delicious although we were only there for a coffee which was excellent! A nice atmosphere with friendly staff.

Staying in CM and visited for light lunch. Sandwiches were generous with fresh salad. Service friendly. Great views over bay where we watched beachcombers, kayakers, rock poolers and happy dogs racing around. Not much outdoor seating but large windows inside. Also has a typical seaside shop, buckets and spades, etc.

We bought 2 meal deals, 3 fillings in a bap with coffee. We chose sausage, bacon and hash brown, all pre cooked and either stone cold or inedible due to being sat for a long time in a warmer, and this was about 10 in the morning! Asked if we wanted butter on the roll well that was non existent and then the coffee was just brown water, no coffee flavour at all. Yes it was a meal deal but come on let's at least make it edible.
