Good chicken burger and good service.

Sterile building but food very good and service extremely fast. A much better experience than my previous visits

Really disappointing to drive 10 miles home to find that I’m short of items. I advise anybody taking food out to check the contents before moving on. Lesson learned!

Tried to order 2x 8 piece boneless boxes and a burger, the manager rudely shouted across the store that I will have to wait for 25 minutes. There were more than enough chicken pieces cooked in the heater. She then claims I complained too often about her food. The manager is rude, and doesn't like it when people have a legitimate complaint with pictures. And before people assume I complain regularly, my last issue with them was March last year when I had 11 drumsticks in a 14 piece bargain bucket (still have the pictures to prove it)

Just wanted to leave a staff review. Emily who served me and my boyfriend this evening at the drive thru window was very happy, polite and professional. Just wanted to give her a shout out!

Nice food with better atmosphere

Chips Absolutely rubbish chicken not too bad but not up to kfc standard. Won't be going back.

Kfc is not as good as it used to be in the '70s when it first came to the UK. The pieces of chicken were actually Wings, legs breast of chicken, not chicken chunks and now it's to get at least 14 to 16 portions out of one chicken buffalo wings, buffalo fingers breasts, whatever and break it all up and the flavour. The battered pastry crumble that used to be on the outside of it isn't there anymore. Kentucky fried chicken is somewhat wasted and needs a weed ramp and a look at the recipe and the good old days when KFC was at its best. But now it needs work because in 10 years time it just may not be here

Prices have increased quite a bit and chip portions have decreased quite a bit

Twice I had to send back a cold zinger burger. Seems some of the staff are arrogant an undertrained in dealing with customers. The manager was very nice an resolved my issue

I used to love KFC. Sadly, now it is just not doing it anymore. They close early, they always had excuses for not serving items on the menu. Sorry not hot drinks cos we run out of cups. No wraps cos we have No salad. SERIOUSLY. I have not visited KFC since 2021. No wonder they are struggling to get customer numbers up. Cos you get better service at McDonald's that actually do a better Chicken wrap.

Wanted 20 wings for offer price the manager refused to give in offer price, in the beginning she said we need to wait 25 minutes we said ok and then she said she can’t give for offer price, this not first time every time when we approached her with offer price they ignoring, especially the manager was very rude. Not only my experience my all friends says the same no one has a good review with them

Order not complete. No large corn no popcorn kitchen , that's £5 you owe me

Tiny fries and drink unless you pay an extra pound, the food was genuinely tasty but the prices are on the expensive side now. £2 for the gravy that used to be an extra side. £3-£5 more expensive than a comparable Mc Donald's!

They need to work on their hygiene. The server dropped the tongs to pick the chicken on the floor then picked them up and put them back into the tray to use next time with no washing of them. Additionally the same server was serving popcorn chicken dropped one and tried to catch it against his top, it rolled down his jumper onto the counter he picked it up and put it back in the heater with the rest of the popcorn chicken. Another server saw this but did not challenge his actions. I also ordered large and regular chips the large chips only have one extra chip in it, not really a large portion and yes I counted them. The chips were also disappointing but aren't they always from KFC!!!

I went KFC at roundswell Barnstaple yesterday evening and I purchased a family feast bucket 10 pieces of chicken and 4 chips with 2 sides of beans and coleslaw and a bottle of drink for £21:99 which I thought was reasonable value the food was hot and cooked well .The young lady who served me was very professional and friendly and attentive with excellent customer service skills, overall I was quite impressed

Litter everywhere, didn't have things that were on the menu. Staff don't care about anything really.. UPDATE: I've met a new staff member and she was so helpful and smiley. (Yes I keep going back occasionally it's my only local KFC 🍗 😆)

Staff rude don't care about different prices on website. Not my problem its IT.Grabbed my phone without my consent 😒

Got a takeaway, only to find our order was completely muddled, I had the spicy chicken in my tower, but the spicy sauce was in my husband's, so I didn't get much to eat and it was too far to drive back. Milkshake machine wasn't working, seems to be a nationwide problem for KFC

Good was alright, however they need to tell the girls to stop talking, chatting and giggling away while serving food except they have their mouths closed, lest they spit on the food... Overall it wasn't a bad experience

Horrible place no empathy for customers what so ever, Manager was about as welcoming as a dose of the plague.

Unbelievable, only a big company could get away with it. A small business would’ve seen the customer going elsewhere. I asked (what I believed to be) a simple question ie, how many hot wings are in a portion of hot wings and two colleagues at the till couldn’t tell me and distinctly made me felt like I was the awkward customer. Overall, just disappointed that the days where the shopkeeper knows more than the customer is a distant memory when it comes to large companies.

Food was soggy not even warm no crispy batter just so soggy and slightly warm. Not going to KFC anymore food is here in the fridge

Ordered on 3 occasions over 2023. On each occasion I ordered a “bucket”, but on no occasion was food actually served in the illustrated bucket. I raised this during one order inside but the server looked at me as though I was mad to suggest that food coming in a glossily-illustrated bucket probably shouldn’t be presented in a crumpled paper bag. I also raised this on-line twice, only to get standard bot-responses that it would be addressed. It wasn’t, and those buckets continue to look suspiciously like crumpled paper bags. No issue with the food, but seems like false advertising. A bucket is a bucket, is a bucket. Oh, and I don’t recommend any dishes. If anything shows then the site is telling porkies.

Love a KFC, a 43 mile round trip for this one and worth every bite

Food was good for value however, the service wasn't the greatest. Full on ignored by the front server when we approach her. Not a simple hello, or enjoy your evening. Customer focus cost nothing but has a big affect.

Turned up at 9:00pm to find the door was locked people inside cleaning and not wanting to serve me

Won't let you buy white meat only they insist 50% must be legs, dispite them cutting breast meat into three pieces, rib into two and then leg. That's 12 pieces from a chicken so why you have to have 50% legs??

Had a take away meal on Friday from KFC roundswell , the 6 piece chicken bargain bucket only contained 5 pieces of chicken, 2 thighs and 3 drumsticks ! and the chicken was flavourless and a tad under cooked .

Once I got home I discovered that my order was short I rang them and left a message as they couldn't be asked to answer over 24 hours later I have had no response this shows a distinct lack of respect for their custom

What can I say but I'm a big fan of KFC. I also live the gravy and they always have it available in this branch. Only con is that the prices have gone up around 30% in the last year or so.

I went through the drive in and ordered. My add on of two hot wings was not in the bag when I got home. I was not given a receipt and then discovered that the £14 that was displayed on the card terminal when I paid ended up as £17 when taken from my bank that for a two & three piece meal was obviously wrong

Easily the worst KFC I have been to, the management always seem rude and obnoxious and like they don’t respect their workers, drive thru is never open and the quality just seems worse than others. Often don’t have certain foods and it always looks filthy.

I recently visited Barnstable kfc and overall, I had a satisfying experience.the chicken was delicious and crispy.good and fast service.all good.

Rive through today both meals pink near raw chicken. Would have returned but 12 miles up the road

At the time we went there, the employees looked overworked, with no management around (you can typically notice it through their clothing) and understaffed. The cues were infernal, and probably worth mentioning that it was just after Christmas, so that might be a reason, however, it is not a reason for not knowing that during these times you should have a contingency plan (saying it as someone who understands these implications in a business). Because of the pressure, the staff gave the wrong order two times. And the third time I just decided to take it despite the fact I noticed that I do not have the chips with the burger.

Nearly always out of what we want. Quite often items are missing from our orders.

Went through the drive thru lady took our order paid luckily I checked the order & yet again missing items!! How can they get it wrong every time! The staff are clearly not trained to do the job. You pay peanuts you get monkeys!

Handy KFC next to fuel stop . The staff could be a little more cheery. Having said that they're probably payed a low wage.

Worst kfc in the uk. Chicken undercooked and cold. Slow staff. Only kfc in north devon and within a 50 mile radius.

Went through the drive through 20 minutes before closing, no answer at the speaker and so drive round to the window, two ladies looked directly at us and motioned for us to move along, shocking. Clearly open and failed to serve us completely.

Shocking food cold took back still only like warm new lot outside warmer than in no wonder it was empty

Working and staying locally so thought I would try this KFC however the till was not working and only the touch screens were working my order was extremely quick however I ask for a large drink and got a small one instead the mighty bucket for one was thrown in a bag the chicken was cold as was the chips the food tasted terrible and I put it in the bin it was a very bad experience and would not use this KFC again the chicken did not taste like chicken but more like pigeon it was a bad experience if the branch cannot cook food properly and serve it as it should be served then they should not be in the buisness I would tot recommend this KFC under any circumstances

I thought I would try again ordering on delivery hopeful of some positive change, I shouldn't of wasted my time. I rarely treat myself and was really looking forward to this. Food was cold, missing two hot wings, drink wasn't even cold so clearly was not refrigerated. 14 pound that order cost on delivery for a sub par 5 pound meal at best. I've eaten better out of a tin. Don't bother ordering from here, it appears nobody is experiencing a good service by the looks of the reviews. A management change is in order by the looks of it.

Ordered and paid for a 3 piece Colonel meal ended up with a 2 piece meal and large drinks rather than regular it’s not the first time imagine every customer on drive thru missing part of their order they must be coining it in ! I won’t be back !

I have put one star as its the lowest. KFC advertising Zinger Dual on TV, waited a while to be served even though empty and few vehicles. Eventually told 'no Zingers' and staff walked away, not even offering an alternative. Not impressed.

It's very hit and miss, I do think the chips could be bigger portions regardless. But it's OK for KFC.

For some reason KFC no longer serve coffee in the newer builds , the restaurant is basic , uncomfortable and cold plus there's no at.osphere.I don't drink fizzy drinks or juice but love a coffee, so this pla e is a no go for me.

Aparrantly, Didn't have enough mini fillets for x2 10 on there £6.99 deal. I was told I would have to wait 1.5 hours! Con, rubbish ended up paying same price but for 14 fillets! Stay clear

Shocking is the word , Oder dinner for kids , hairs all fryer in the chicken , what the hell going on ?

Made an order in the drive through ordered one drink as a hot tea. When collected at the window was given two cold drinks asked about one meant to be a tea and was told it was a ice tea (the so called ice tea was a pepsi aswell). i asked for a hot tea and was told kfc don't do hot drinks...... parked up walked in and asked a different member of staff for the Pepsi to be changed to a tea which she did. Clearly the lady taking the order got it wrong but instead of rectifying it just lied her way out.

Food bad counter staff believe 75% of chicken is drumsticks.

It's a shame. I would love to write a good review for this restaurant. The staff work hard and the food is good. However the staff just don't seem to have enough time to keep this place clean and tidy. Understaffing and penny pinching keep this KFC from being decent.

Waited at the drive through menu to place my order but no one came through to ask me it. Drove round after a considerable wait for an empty restaurant and drive through, where the staff member was chatting to a man stood at the window. Waited to explain I wanted to order and before I even finished she said she had been talking to me. I explained I didn't hear anything and assumed a fault with the audio but she instantly gave me attitude saying she wasn't going to argue with me. I wasnt arguing simply reporting nothing came through and certainly didn't deserve the tone she took with me. I left without placing an order.

Had KFC in the first time in ages and I was surprisingly how nice it tasted. I've heard KFC and it's been dreadful but this one was really nice

I can not understand why KFC allow this place to be open, It's run down ,untidy , Drive Thru is never operating, food is re heated and chips are non edible Gives KFC a bad name Yet the one in Exeter is great.

This place is terrible! Slow service, food arrived cold & even the replacement wasn't much hotter, missing items from the menu, card machine not working, overall just poorly managed. Definitely won't come back here, not fussed if I ever have KFC again. I can make it better at home for cheaper!

3rd time of going they have given me large meals when I asked for regular telling me at the till they only have large cups , I dont want my children having that much Pepsi. And the pieces of children are dry and more like sparrow size

The food is very good. Nice size portions. Restaurant is often not clean but last time we have been its been a lot cleaner!

DONT BOTHER!! Food hygiene obviously doesn't exist!! We all had really bad diarrhoea! Hubby had serious sickness and diarrhoea all through the night, he was so bad he passed out on the toilet and smacked his face on the bath and had what seemed like a seizure on the floor and couldn't get up!! He has been put on antibiotics and codeine for the diarrhoea by the doctor, we are never going to KFC in the future

The boneless bbq bites were cold. I was told by staff they are served cold as the bbq sauce is cold and makes the chicken cold. I have never heard such a stupid lie. As my brother ordered them as well and they were hot Terrible service. I don't recommend this branch at all.

Stale zinger burger, 10 cold chips and £7.99 wasted money, wouldn't recommend this place even if the meals were free
