Kebab meat always cold. Such a shame as otherwise great kebab. Have moaned twice but not improved. Them seem to be in denial. Chilli sauce not spicy enough either.

Perfect in every way food was lovely kebabs and pizza but the best thing is the spuds!

Asked for chicken but no legs . Guess what leg was sent out and one other piece of chicken well if you can call it chicken was all bone. Just wish they would do what The customer asks . Not good this time .

Tried this place numerous times and the food is excellent and great value for money. The portions are large so be warned. Their wraps are large and well filled, especially donner meat wrap. Great choice of fillings and sauces. The burgers are lovely as well and also a great choice or variations and sauces. I have yet to try the pizzas so that’s on the list next. Highly recommend this place.

Got three wraps totaling to £27 including postage Not happy the wraps were completely covered in sauce so they all went soggy and everything was falling out, so not enjoyable expecially paying £8 a wrap won't be getting it again!

Popped in to get some chips after a trip to the theatre. Really lovely chips, good size portion, tasted great, quick service, friendly staff. Very happy.

Went to barum takeaway last night. I ordered 4 piece chicken and spiced chips, when I head them say it costs £10.50 I was outraged. Ever since I ate the chicken I have had crippling diarrhoea. I have never left a bad review before but the food was so rancid and the chicken poisonous, I felt it was my duty to share my experience. Ive not been able to leave the house all morning because I’ve been glued to the toilet.

These people rip there customers off. Don't go in if you've had a drink they inflate there prices. When confronted they get very defensive and accuse you of racist remarks. Maybe get a free course in customer service they are a plentiful online. Food average.

It’s such a shame about Barum takeaway, we’ve ordered here for over 10 years but the place has drastically gone downhill, first it started with them changing their chicken sandwich a few years back, it used to taste like an amazing fillet of chicken breast coated beautifully, now you can pick up better frozen chicken burgers from Iceland. Then the place became super expensive and now to put the final nail in the coffin they only give you half as much donna kebab meat as they used too which tastes way saltier now. What a shame I hope they read this and take these things in to consideration, but for now we’ve actually found Iceland warehouse kabab meat is actually better, way cheaper and easy to cook for a Friday treat. Shame but saving big dollar at least!

Me and my partner tried lamb kebap and It was soooo delicious. Big portions as well. Highly recommended

Ordered an XL Donor kebab. Was a fair size for £10 tbh but not sure of the chilli paste. Not very sauce like. Salad was fresh and plentiful. Enjoyable meal

I ordered a ¼ pounder Gourmet burger which was a burger topped with cheese, bacon, 3 onion rings & blue cheese sauce. The onions rings were battered and not raw onion rings which I expected. There was plastic cheese which I did not expect on a "gourmet burger" and as for the blue cheese sauce: non existent. That blue cheese sauce is why I ordered that burger. Without the blue cheese sauce the burger is £4.80 - the burger I ordered was £6.00. Its a rip off. Not that £6 is really expensive, but the fact that they never put the sauce on and charged me extra. The bacon was rock hard. They advertise chips but serve French fries, disgusting rubbery soggy French fries. It was like biting into a really hard boiled egg. The bun was soggy too. This is the second time I have ordered from this place. The first time was as disappointing... only difference was the French fries tasted of fish. All in all, if this was the last place on earth to eat from, I would rather starve.

Fantastic food and great service! I often pop in after work for my tea ( sometimes around 11pm ) and my orders are always done promptly and well packaged! Definitely recommend this place to satisfy your tummy in a timely manner!. Their Pizza and Chicken are absolutely divine!! 😍

I would leave zero stars if that was an option. Ordered £70 worth of food for family and friends. When got back realised it was all wrong so called. Guy first tried to say its what we had ordered, but we don't eat lheir lamb! If it was what we had ordered why would we call to tell him it was wrong?? Guy told us to get stuffed and he didn't care if we never went back. We have used these guys for years. Will never buy food there agsin. Absolutely terrible.

We ordered dinner for a family of 7, every single order was wrong and we didn’t receive the items we ordered. When we spoke to them about this to return and swap the incorrect items they told us they weren’t interested and didn’t care for our custom. Avoid this takeaway there’s a load of way better takeaways in Barnstaple.

Best kebab shop in town, always get good service and food.

Ordered mixed kebab No garlic as allergic. WHAT did he do plastered it with garlic sauce didn't notice till I got home .When I phoned to complain They hung up on me No apologies nothing .Won't be going there again

And when I phoned up to try to sort the order out had a number of so called staff saying to be the manager and laughing and giggling down phone so getting no we're over phone so went to the shop they were not willing to right the order they rather ban me from the shop

On average & upon testing others that are the same this one seems to be the best kebab shop around. Good food 9/10 times, quick delivery, good customer service & friendly.

Salad tasted weird. Rung barum to express this to be told to contact food agancie to check the salad. Got spoken to rudly by one of the staff and told this is first time a complaint about salad has happened. Spoke to manager and was very polite but didn't rectify the issue

They would not let me order over the phone they said I had to visit shop to order I even offered to pay over the phone I don’t understand they must have trust issues I don’t really get why they would refuse an order. Terrible service do not use this takeaway

Very disappointed is an understatement. Family have been ordering from this restaurant for years and food has been pretty good, but the last several months its been unedible, tasteless, burnt, and vile. Food has been thrown out and put straight into the bin, not even my dog will touch it, and trust me my dog eats anything. Spent nearly 30 pounds on food orders. 1 x pizza which was burnt ... 1 x lamb shish wrap which was disgusting, meat burnt and chewy, plus grisly, salad was non existent, only salad was red cabbage which tasted sour.! 1 x Small roast potatoes which where discoloured and overly cooked. 1 x Small chips again discoloured soft and soggy. 1 x Donner wrap which was dry tastess and salad tasted stale. Would of given 0 stars but can only give 1 star and that's being generous.

Was left very upset after I called for our order! This was the same person on 2 occasions that ended up with us calling back to cancel. Been a regular for years and will now take my business else where. So very very rude on the phone absolutely no customer service skills!!

Food was tasty although portion size was pretty shameful. A large should definitely be LARGE especially for the cost. After trying else where i would like say the portion size is terrible. A 1 star review saves them on the fact the food was reasonable quality.

firstly £18 for a wrap meal and chicken nuggets, curry sauce and coke??? chips were oily and soggy, nuggets were chewy and tasted odd, curry sauce was so watery. only thing that was ok was the wrap. wont be ordering here anymore!

Best place to go for quick and amazing food

Ordered last night after over an hour after ordering I was told the food was on the way, I waited another 40 minutes to be told it was just about to leave, another half an hour later i rang up again to be told the driver had gone missing with my food, overall waited 2 and a half hours and didnt get an apology, driver was rude and the food was bang average.

food on arrival cold and not as was ordered, meat in kebab looked and tasted like it was a week, I old asked for spuds and got chips the only nice thing was the coleslaw I had been a customer for years but in the last year it has gone so downhill I will not be going back

I was disappointed that the meat feast pizza did not have much meat on top. I have always enjoyed the pizza which was value for money and great quality but sad to say it has changed. :-(

They always cook my kebab exactly as I like it. Only once did I have a problem and they rectified it instantly. Love this place

We ordered a pizza takeaway last night. I had the seafood and the wife had a margarita with roast potatoes and some chicken. It was a all ok. Personally I would have preferred more prawns and anchovies on my pizza but it was cooked fresh and delivery was quick. Always enjoyed there kebabs and burgers

Myself and my husband had some food from here and it wasn't very nice. The chips tasted like they have been cooked over and over again and the chicken wrap had more salad in it than chicken. Very poor.

Absolutely shocking portion of food served to us the other night. I was gutted to find the Chicken wrap I had was cooked far too much. We had a shish aswell that was BURNT. Our chips were frozen inside. At this point it went in the bin!!!! ALL OFF IT!!!!

Why only 9 reviews for long established business? I expect it is because of the poor service they offer, they have wiped all bad reviews? Late delivery.....advised would be 30 to 45 mins but an hour and quarter later it arrived. It would have not been a problem if person delivering had said sorry for the delay but all they could do was ask for the payment. We assume as our order was not big we were the last call. We have used Barum before and food arrived late and warm to cold, but not prepared to accept this time. One time too many. Too late for our custom again but would advise you to improve your customer service. As already stated, if you had just offered an apology and been understanding of your customers position, we would have understood. Will be interested to see how long this feedback stays on for?

Often go there, not just a kebab after a night out, getting old and fat now so put the beer to one side but still frequent here as the food is very tasty, the place is kept very clean and the staff are friendly and a great bunch!

its typical late night Take away. full of drunks, all swearing and screaming at each other. Ok to get food when drunk, and dont care what you are eating, but if not dont bother going very late at night. Try to go there earlier on it may be ok

I visited in April 2015.The customer service on this occasion and every other occasion I've visited in the past has been very good, despite the amount of grief they get from fellow revellers on a Saturday night!I opted for a large doner kebab with all the salad. There was plenty of meat in the kebab which was great. The lamb was very tasty and not very greasy either which was a bonus.The salad that came with the kebab was pretty good too and included cabbage, onion, lettuce and tomatoes.The only criticism I had was the pitta bread wasn't very nice and was rock hard so not very easy to eat.I paid £5 so not too bad value.
