Munchies in North Devon

The food (once received) was nice! But the service was tragic, we called up 3 times to check on the order and waited a total of 1hr and 20m for 3 kebabs and didn't receive it till 12:20 at night ! But the food was very very nice, just slow delivery.

I decided to buy small cheesy chips with extra cheese £5.10 altogether. They taste like leftover chips from the fryer and cheese not even melted. The chips weren’t even hot they were not even warm. I’ve barley touched the food to be honest as they don’t taste nice. Would want a refund to be honest. Very greasy as well…

This was amazing especially the spicy potato’s really good service and the workers there was really kind and sweet I will be coming back

Not much to say other than it’s your normal standard of end of the night quality food. Nothing good nothing bad.

Usually enjoy the food but recently it’s got bad. Had my usual chicken strips a few weeks ago and next morning came down with vile food poisioning. Can’t bring myself to go back at all.

Piss poor service. Charged £13 for what I had and watched leftover chips thrown into the fryer with my chips. This resulted in chips hollow and full of fryer fat and then I asked for a bit of chicken donner to be added to my food, which I would of paid for even though £13 was enough for second hand chips and slimy onions, to be shouted at no. Avoid at all costs

Charged me 1 £10 for cheesy chips and gave me them full of mayo which i cant eat, and told me i payed £5, absolutely joke. Wo t be giving my money to them weekly anymore!

Bought cheesy chips, got charged £10 and got told i payed woth a £5 note even though the cash point gives out only £10 notes, then got given cheesy chips with mayo and im allergic to it. Awful service. Do t listen. Dont recommend.

Not our first delivery this year (we been poorly) ordered online without problem, fast delivery, food nice & hot. Not one problem with any of our orders. We've had burgers, pizzas and kebabs and all were amazing :)

Great garlic bread so much for not much. Burgers were so much good it was entertaining to watch my brother try eat it haha. Overall great late night food.

Called to cancel order, as order was going to take a long time, and just didn’t have time to wait. Man on the phone was extremely rude, even though I was trying to be polite, he refused to cancel so we waited for the food. Which in their defence came a lot quicker than we initially thought, however when the food came it was awful, burnt pizza and over all and bad quality

Had a chicken donar tonight - ordered on the website. Beautifully marinaded chicked (as mostly) lovely mottzzerall sticks & onion rings. Burger was a little cold, but edible. Not our first, nor last time in ordering!

The food was lovely and hot, they were very friendly for my rather fussy family. The food was quick and tasted absolutely amazing. My favourite is the pizza, but we love the kebabs

If I could give Munchies 0 stars then I would. Ordered kebabs- Where to begin- Had to wait 20 minutes over my appointed pick up time, venue is dossy, staff not helpful. The main issue though was me violently throwing up my chicken and lamb kebab that evening… I think that says it all. Avoid even as a desperate holidaymaker. It’s not worth it.

munchies is a lovely place to sit and eat, or to take away. It is a cooked up fresh to every order and the food tastes amazing! The staff are very friendly and are extremely helpful for fussy eaters!

We were north Devon for holidays. This was only halal takeaway in Ilfracombe. Food was good and delicious. Staff Need to focus on hygiene. Entrance was disgusting. Prices were reasonable. We had mix grillz, chicken wrap,chicken nuggets and southern fried chicken.

Bought pizza & garlic bread. Pizza fine but got given 4 thin bagette slices for £4. Total Rip off. We often use munchies for a quick n easy take away but I'll be going else where from now on. Shouldn't rip people off man, it's bad business.

Placed 2 orders , got them home to realise they haven't given us one of the kebabs, rang them up to explain and they refused to accept that they hadn't put it in. They was very rude and unhelpful. Asked to speak to the owner as local and know who he is and instead was greeted with a rude worker pretending to be him. Disappointed. Left out of pocket and short of a kebab.

Do these people not know that if you put the pitta bread in the bottom of the tray and just chuck on the kebab meat and sauce on top, the pitta becomes a soggy mush and is now unusable 😡. A donner kebab without a pitta is just a pile of meat!!!!!!!!! Disgusting service.

Small mixed meat and chips £6.50 its huge anuff to feed 2 and the taste is pretty much 😋 finger licking

Seems a bit expensive but when you see the portion size and the taste, it's all worth it. Menu has Halal options but not everything is... ask the server and they are happy to guide you.

Was a bit sceptical because of the negative reviews but was blown away by the high quality of food! The lamb doner wrap was amazing!! One of the best we have ever had! Highly recommended! Thank you for the tasty food:)

Absolutely disgusted! Spent £30 on a donner kabab and cheesy chips and a chicken burger with cheesy chips, £30? Ridiculous! The kabab meat was cold and like leather chicken burger was chewy and overall just not satisfied. Would not recommend 🙂

Asked if I could close the door while I eat as it was cold and windy, guy said I can’t close the door as the customers couldn’t walk in then, like wth? I thought ok no worries I’ll eat in the car. I initially ordered chicken doner wrap meal, but the guy deep fried some frozen chicken and wanted to make a wrap with that, I said I asked for doner wrap meal, then he asked for more money. Some tall dude walking round in his sweater proper money and self orientated. Overall not a happy customer, would never go there and would not recommend to anyone. Poor service and food isn’t that great. 👎👎

Bad Food, Bad Service They over charge you. when my other half had an awful experience when he went there. He was was served awful food which wasn't fresh and which had loads of salt in it and he couldn't eat it. advise you NOT to go there

Its not a bad place but its expensive plus they forgot to put any salsd or sauce on my 2 chicken wraps plus I had to wait ages for my order which when your hungry its not good 😟

Having enjoyed food from munchies in the past I was disappointed with the service I recieved this evening. I ordered a chef special kebab. The delivery said it would be about 50 minutes and arrived at about that sort of time. Unfortunately the delivery was missing the pitta breads (quite a big part of a kebab!!) I phoned straight away and I said I had just received a delivery the lady on the other end of the phone said 'your missing a pizza' so I was obviously not the only one missing items tonight. When I explained the pittas where missing the lady apologised however could not say when or if we would receive these items. Really disappointing as the service has been spot on in the past. 3 hours later pitta has still not arrived 😕

Good portions for the prices and good place for halal food. However the wait for our food when dining in was extremely long! The staff are too occupied preparing takeaway orders. Food was nice but the doner meat was dry and chewy, wouldn't recommend it. There wasn't a huge variety of sauces either.

Would honestly say munchies are better than chick 'n' land. You get big portions for your money, and plus I live quite a bit away and the food stayed warm till I got home

I Ordered a meat feast pizza the pepperoni was not nice kebab meat was burnt up the ham didn’t taste like it and the base of the pizza was dry would not recommend

Ordered for delivery, waited an hour and 40 mins for delivery only to phone up and be told it's in it way then when I arrived it was basically stone cold and the inside of the bag was condensated which meant that it had been sat there for a while... Not Impressed to say the least...

Staying locally for a short break and found out after a long day of costal path walking that our resort were unable to provide food on site this evening. So we searched Google for someone local offering delivery and we were not disappointed. Munchies gave us an approximate delivery time of 50 mins but arrived within 30 mins. Food was plentiful and tasty and greatly enjoyed...thanks Munchies :)

Very poor cold by the time it got to us. Order wrong missing 2 portions chips and 2 cans of coke. After phoning to complain they wouldn’t refund said they couldn’t refund but would send out the rest of the order which is to late. When it arrived still 1 can missing

Very disappointed with the chicken kebab I had there last night. It was processed chicken that tasted like hotdogs meat. Genuinely disgusting. Chicken isn't expensive, why use something so horribly cheap, I'd much rather pay an extra few pence for the real thing.

Did a big order to feed all the family. Pizzas were done to perfection! Loads of toppings to choose from. Nice garlic dip too! Spicy chips are awesome. Burger was great quality - rooster wrap massive - kebab juicy! Finished with a chocolate fudge cake....

Ordered kebab, large size but it was huge, full of meat, proper lamb thick and juicy. Just the right amount of salad, separate container with sauce and the chips were lovely. My directions were followed to the letter. Definitely recommend. Thank you 😊

Ordered takeaway around hour and a half later. Husband had chicken Shiah kebab and at 6.00 was nothing to it very poor. I had chicken and chips , chips were soggy and cold and the chicken undercooked. Absolutely dreadful place, avoid like the plague

Prawn cocktail no sauce advertised with pitta bread that didn’t come with it chips are not nice mixed kebab. Prawn cocktail had lots of lettuce and not many prawns. Won’t be visiting again

Delivery was OK, food wasn't great at all. The chocolate fudge cake was so stale it was completely inedible. Emailed and called with no response very poor customer service. The easiest way to avoid bad reviews is respond to your customers complaints well.
