Staying in CM and visited for light lunch. Sandwiches were generous with fresh salad. Service friendly. Great views over bay where we watched beachcombers, kayakers, rock poolers and happy dogs racing around. Not much outdoor seating but large windows inside. Also has a typical seaside shop, buckets and spades, etc.

Mediocre service, food was as you'd expect. Shown to be dog friendly, but was a struggle to get some water for the dog, as they didn't have a bowl!

Typical English seaside cafe. A range of basic food, good selection of ice creams, good views down the beach, sticky uncleared tables. It is what is says on the tin.

Nice views and Dog Friendly which was great. Clean tables. Only two people in front of me but took 15 minutes to order, service seemed slow and not personal - felt like I was on a conveyor belt. Refused to pay the prices of the food so opted for drinks only. Ham, Egg and Chips -£14 and Jacket potato £10.

We had sandwiches and cold drinks from this café with outside seating overlooking the beach. The sandwiches were delicious and came with salad too. Friendly service and good prices.

We stopped here for a ice cream, and because they sell ice creams for dogs as well. Friendly place to have a ice cream and our dog enjoyed it too.

Absolutely disgusting attitude 771563521 Absolutely disgusting attitude and hygiene. How are they in business? Rude and discriminating. Will report to authorities.

I popped in to the redwood café to buy a couple of ice creams. The shop assistant was in deep conversation with a friend about the effects of Covid on the business and how difficult times were. I listened to the conversation for some time, I was totally ignored, not even acknowledged and left without my ice creams. No wonder they’re not doing very well.

I had a delicious smoothie whilst awaiting the return of my kayaking family. Can’t speak for the food but I’d go back for the smoothie.

Best flat whites and chai lattes with an ice-cream chaser and a pretty sea view, what’s not to like? We love this little cafe, have visited many times this summer on our 2 stays at the beautiful Combe Martin. The staff are really friendly and helpful. We tried Cornish pasties, cream teas, sausage rolls, muffins and the ice-creams, all were lovely. There is more on the menu that we need to try yet so must do that on our return. Looking forward to it. Can well recommend stopping by, you will not be disappointed.

On our tour of north Devon beaches we visited Combe Martin. Some competitors hadn't even opened for the season, so we were grateful we felt we'd found a nice cafe. And so it turned to be. Ok the service was reasonable; but fastest was not what we were expecting - had a wonderful view over the small bay & chatted while we waited for our coffee & heated snacks. In fact my wife wandered off to look at some of the clothing / gifts nearby. No rush for us & it was one of the dullest days too. Presumably very full in full summer season, glad we're not there. Drinks & food consumed off we go to other shops

Waiting staff very attentive and nothing is to much trouble. Oh!! and the Tea's flippin good....Try it for yourself. Dont take my word for it.

We visited at Easter. Café is nicely decorated and food good. The attitude of the lady who served us left a lot to be desired. Didn't make eye contact, kept walking away when we were trying to place our order. Have never had anyone so rude serve me anywhere. Suggest she has some customer service training. Would have given a higher rating had the service been good.

We recently spent a week in the area and ate at the Redwood cafe three times and had ice cream there several times. The staff are so friendly they can't do enough to help you. It's very family friendly and the food was fab. Everything is cooked fresh to order. The view over the sea is an amazing view to sit and eat you lunch looking at. Would go there again without hesitation.

Have just returned from a family holiday to Devon and was massively impressed with this cafe. The food was way better than I could of hoped for (the family also own the pub next door) which explains the high food quality. The view is second to none within the village and the staff are extremely welcoming and friendly.

After ordering, the waitress came outside to tell us our food was still sitting on the counter if we wanted it. They got the order wrong and told us we'd have to go inside to pay if we wanted anything else.

After visiting over the weekend just gone, I don't think we will be returning. We had been there early on in the week and it was a much better experience, friendly and good service. However when we walked from the car park to go in, there was a lady outside smoking, then as we entered the cafe there was no one else serving. So as we waited the same lady came in from outside, and served us. To our amazement she didn't wash her hands and frankly wasn't very friendly. Obviously didn't want to be there. It's made a great experience at the beginning of the week turn into an experience we probably won't return!! Such a shame.

Very friendly staff, food is prepared in the pub kitchen which is adjoining so food is piping hot and a better menu than you would find in a Cafe. Superb food and terrific value for money. Thoroughly recommended.

Grandkids wanted an ice cream and a drink! This place looked perfect, providing both! The young ladies serving were very patient, allowing the kids to choose what they wanted! The tea was good, teen enjoyed chocolate milkshake and the most amazing cadburys doughnut, GK's had fruit shoot type drink and ice creams! Perfect positioning on the seafront, great view! Well done ladies!

Poor service. Impolite staff. Terrible food. No wonder it was the only place with seats available when everywhere else was busy. Avoid avoid avoid.

Not very nice, needs massive refurb. Garden disgusting, toilets disgusting and £6.50 for a pint of 1664 to add insult to injury.

It was very busy and I'm not a fan of town centre pubs. However, for a quick drink before the theatre this was a perfect stop
