Ellie and Dan were fantastic !! My mum and I stopped for dinner after a long drive… we were greeted by Dan who led us to our table, he was super friendly and immediately off the bat we felt looked after. Our waitress, Ellie, was attentive and very lovely… she deserves a raise

Extremely dated! In desperate need of a refurb! We went for the ‘all you can eat buffet breakfast’ but when we got there we were told that they are never busy enough to use the ‘help yourself buffet’ so we had to order breakfast off the menu & it wasn’t nice at all. Took half hour before anyone came to take our order & then another half hour for our breakfast to arrive. You don’t expect to wait an hour to be served breakfast when it’s supposed to be a buffet where you are supposed to just go up & help yourself. Won’t be going again.

I took a group of 30 school students here for a treat meal out on our last night of our Devon camping trip. The staff were extremely accomodating helpful and really went above and beyond. The bar staff were welcoming as we arrived. The meals were perfectly cooked well timed for a large group and every meal was spot on. The restaurant staff were fab and really made our student feel welcome. We will be back next year.

It was a birthday surprise from my granddaughters ( ages3, 7,9). The server was so good with the girls and they enjoyed the meal just as much as I did. Excellent food and service, definitely will go back again.

Some of the staff are awful about some manager I know. And I’m sure they know who they are! Maybe three members off staff actually work hard others just stand around parenting they are busy when not! Glasses plates everywhere when it’s absolutely dead! Appalling and something really needs to be done about this place had come so far and now has just gone down like a deflated balloon! Very appalling behaviour from the main boss!

Nice spot for dinner when staying at the premier inn. Had the Football match on but didn't interrupt dinner so best of both world's. Loz was a great waitress.

Visited as this is local to use and it was very underwhelming. Service was brilliant but the food and atmosphere didn't match. No quality to the food. So even if it's cooked properly it's a difficult job. Dark and unappealing decor. They really need a fresh bright makeover. Should do something to make people want to visit and come back. Honestly just go the extra mile into town for a better meal and maybe even less expensive.

Went here for a family meal on my birthday. Could not have wished for any better. Food was delicious, the atmosphere great and the service second to none. We all had such a lovely time from start to finish, so it was certainly well worth the visit

I ate at Table Table as it was the doorstep food option available during a work stay at the Premier Inn and I was pleasantly surprised. The food choices are fairly typical of similar extablishments, but having eaten at a few of these (as I work away regularly) I can say with a degree of confidence that the food I ate here was piping hot, flavoursome, hearty and hit the spot. Table service by Gaynor was faultless. She provided a perfect balance of professional and friendly. I would happily eat here again.

Last minute decided to go for a meal as we had family visiting. Phoned at 1730, booked for 1830. A bit of a wait for the food, but was worth it. Jayde was brilliant and bent over backwards to ensure we had a pleasant experience. Thank you.

Went in with low expectations and got a big suprise in that it was really good!

If I could give absolutely no stars then I would, we came for breakfast and we’re greeted by a rude man telling us breakfast is nearly over - we still had 45 minutes before ending! Staff were so rude & absent I don’t know why they bother hiring anyone, the glasses were dirty, the food was cold- my eggs were still raw on the top - STAFF DID NOT CARE!! Was still made to pay full price for 4 breakfasts - barely eaten just picked at! Staff eating around cleaning the tables which is unprofessional- have a break like other establishments & finally they DONT give you a receipt so when a Parking fine comes through the post at £95 (because again they don’t care you should of seen the signs) they don’t inform you when you go in either - just watch you struggle with the door and a pram so your left paying for a terrible experience I wouldn’t offer my dog & an ridiculous fine you have to go back and find proof you were there! DONT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE ONE BIT!!!

The food and service was top notch we had a sharing platter club sandwich and smothered chicken. The quality was really good and portions were more than we could eat. The service from Gaynor our waitress was very attentive and plesent. This is our second visit will certainly visit again thank you Derek

In May I parked in the car park as we had done in the past,went in to the restaurant had a meal paid in cash and left the barum gate,we then went on with our day, seams pretty normal thing to do, a month later a parking ticket has come through the door for £57.00. I gave Barum gate a call and all I got as an answer was nothing I can do mate you should have seen the signs here’s an email address, well I wasn’t really looking for signs in a pub car park as the only real reason to go there was to eat, we know we can always get a table as it never seems to be busy, the serving staff although a bit busy holding hands and having a little kiss behind the counter before showing us to our table never mentioned parking enforcement,not really down to them I know but would have been nice. Well I am £57.00 down but will never be back and will also make sure I do my best to let everyone I can know about this scam that can only target customers.

We came down from East sussex, and litrally walked into what could only be described as a pub scene from the tv series shameless...... swearing at the bar constantly from a large male with tattoos (who kept shouting in from london mate) after every swear word or talking badly about women and also a small female with blonde hair who was getting louder and louder every shot and vodka she drunk then continuedto talk about class A drugs! The bar staff then joined in with them which clarified they were all friends. Not really the place any family should ever stay or eat if you have half a ounce of decorum and respect.

Very good service from gaynor, made us feel welcome and nothing was too much trouble! Highly recommended!! 5*****

A gererous selection of all you could want for breakfast both in food and drinks Pity my Husband cut his finger on a chipped plate but an antiseptic wipe and plasters were provided immediately.

Incredibly rude barman when settling up. More concerned with playing to the gallery for his mates- even though we had spent over £60 on the meal. Ageist?? ( We are in our late 60s). Tried to belittle us. Not a good advert for Devon or the restaurant. P. S . we had sirloin steaks which were very poor as mainly gristle - but didn't complain, as we didn't want waiting staff to get the brunt. Wish we had now - but the barman would have no doubt have made us try to feel even more uncomfortable.

The meals were mediocre unfortunately. Portions sizes aren't great and the meals were served nearly cold ! My friend was still hungry afterwards.

We had not booked but Stopped off here for a meal and received 1st class service by Lewis and Gaynor , front of house . Excellent meal , best smothered chicken I have had in any of the chain of restaurants . Would highly recommend .

Loving the cooked to order Breakfast. Today we received a perfectly cooked and well presented Breakfast. Sally and James did a fantastic job keeping up with a busy restaurant with always a pleasant smile and jolly personalities, they work very well as a team. Plenty of choices and excellent allergy information.

Shame there is no Orange Juice therefore 3 stars instead of 5 Otherwise good breakfast and staff are friendly and proffesion

Fantastic experience! Massive thank you to the lady who greeted us, I can only presume she was the manager, as she was dressed very smart and different than the other staff. She was very welcoming. When she sat us at our table she asked if there are any allergy’s. This was music to my ears! My daughter who is only 2 has allergy’s and so many places she cannot have much off the menu and I am unsure what she can have. This lady offered me to see the allergy folder and was very helpful! This was fantastic as I could see exactly what my daughter could have and not worry about what she’s eating! This may seem very simple to some but to me it made the entire experience positive from the start! Thank you so much to this lady!

Went for a family meal, great service, food and atmosphere. Massive well done to gayna and jayde, they were the only staff members on that evening but still done an amazing job.

Food was very basic and they missed out a number of items on each dish - no avocado, salsa or soured cream on the fajita burger, no coleslaw and salad on the smothered chicken dish, and no salad or tomato on the gammon. I mentioned that the avocado didn’t taste fresh - had a mouldy taste to it, and was told that they use frozen avocado hence the mushy consistency. Service very slow even though the restaurant was only half full. The kids food was good and good value too but would not recommend for adult mains.

We enjoyed a very nice meal with two of our friends ,we also had a dessert and drinks ,we were served by Gaynor a very friendly waitress who knew her job well no complaints from us ,we have also booked for Thursday with two other friends .

We enjoyed a lovely breakfast at barum gate. It was cooked to order and came out nice and hot and served on a hot plate aswell just how I like it. Nice selection of jams and pastries too for the kids. We will be returning.

In regards to our meal we had booked way in advanced for for mothers day, we were in fact very disappointed with the service we received. We had a big party so with that in mind we had to prebook food a week before hand which was no problem at all. Turned up on our arrival time to then having to wait around for nearly 1 hour & 30 minutes with no one coming to let us know what the delay was with our food. When we finally got our food every single meal was cold, it felt like some food wasn't even cooked, we had asked for condiments 3 times yet no one brought them to us. We then had a further wait to receive our deserts as they were missing so people had to take them home. Now we have eaten here on a few previous occasions some big party's others not & the food hasn't ever been a problem & always come out hot! It's a shame that it feels like the restaurant has gone so down hill yet it was such a lovely place to eat out. We all felt disappointed in the service we had received despite it being such a lovely place. Unfortunately we won't be returning.

What an absolute disgrace of so called customer service!!! Arrived at 6pm for dinner sat by the door which in itself was ok, until someone used the door. After asking if we could be seated elsewhere we were told no all the other tables are booked out throughout the evening.. we could see at least 10 tables empty and not even set up for customers. At this point we asked about the section with the fire, told be abruptly told “you can’t sit there we need to set up for breakfast” Remember it’s 6pm on a Saturday evening!!! Then an elderly couple came in with the gentleman in a wheelchair, that had the same issue seated somewhere cold. Again the restaurant supervisor (hopefully he wasn’t the manager as zero management skills) said no you have to sit where you are.! I then jumped in on this and pointed out her husband in the wheelchair, at this point (15 mins of complaining) he advised “we can sit in the warm part but be quick!!”. Totally unacceptable customer service, and a disgrace to the brand of Table Table….

2 hours to get a main (roast ) absolutely disgusting was not Fresh all from Frozen! For the price very disappoint .

I went with my family for Mother’s Day and I wish we didn’t. We were sat right next to an external door, every time someone opened the door we were cold, we had to sit the whole time with our coats on. Both my boys had smothered chicken burger. They said it was very nice but very few chips. My husband and I wanted a roast and were told we couldn’t have it, this was 6:30pm although it didn’t say it was unavailable on the menu. My husband had hunters chicken and asked to swap the garlic bread and salad with chips and peas, this came wrong, however, the waitress changed it.

Was greated and sat at a table, a member of staff took our drinks order. A lovely waitress brought one drink over and said the barrel was being changed for the other, said pint was then brought absolutely dripping and had to use a napkin as a beer mat. Food was ordered and then delivered. Food wasn't overly warm but not one member of staff in sight to comment too so ate said food which was nice but cold. No check back was done and after finishing meal yet again no member of staff around so went to the bar to pay. Was greated by a male member of staff chewing with a mouthful of food ! Not once was asked how my meal was, no please or thank you either just a grunt ! Absolutely disgusting service !

Unfortunatly our experience here was utterly terrible. Absoltuly appaling. They fail to stock food up at the buffet. You wait 10-15 minutes for eggs or bacon while everything goes cold. They don't take bookings at apporpaite times. If you book for 10 or after you wont get a decent breakfast; thats gaurenteed. Appaling waitress stated was incredibly rude to my mother. She actually should have been sacked on the spot. Pretty sure it was Charlotte (dark haired girl). Disgusting custoemer service. Been to some really truely great table tables; this one dont bother until they have changed thier junior staff or bothered to teach them some custoemr service and manners. AVOID.

Absolutely fantastic service today, the staff were very welcoming and polite and couldn’t do enough for us. CHARLOTTE was very friendly and her table service was impeccable, an absolute credit to the company. Also the other lady who was working (didn’t get her name) was lovely. The cooked breakfast was cooked to order but still unlimited was clean, fresh and hot. Really enjoyed my time there this morning

Great food, and brilliant friendly staff. Try the chicken and pulled ham pie - really flavoursum. The weekday £11.49 for two main meals is a real bargain.

Stayed at the premier inn and went for breakfast and was served by two lovely ladies Charlotte and Sally who made us feel very welcome and catered to all our needs as vegans such as alternative milk and meat products. Cooked food was served fresh and hot no complaints. We then had a meal in the evening service was excellent as well! James served us and once again amazing choice with vegan options and James helped us with all the information we needed.

FANTASTIC BREAKFAST! We enjoyed our amazing breakfast here with our work team. The service by Sally and Charlotte was excellent. All our needs were fully met with soya milk available and allergy information given. Plus the bonus of very good vegetarian sausages.

My breakfast experience was delightful during my stay, thanks to the warm ambiance and impeccable service from Sally and Chelsea. They ensured a seamless experience, making my mornings truly enjoyable. The food was delicious, freshly prepared, and served with care. A great start to the day!

Went for a roast, the service was excellent we were very well looked after but the veg selection with the roast was a bit disappointing, amazing roast potatoes though.

I booked a table for 13 online, and it couldn’t have been simpler. When we arrived the table was set up and we had an area of the restaurant to ourselves. There was plenty of choice for the adults and children, and also there was plenty of information about allergies, which was especially useful as one of the children is celiac. The food was excellent and good value for money. I’d like to give a special shout out to all the staff that attended to us during our visit, who were all friendly and helpful and let us stay for as long as we wanted, and didn’t once make us feel like we were outstaying our welcome; in particular, our thanks go to Stacey, Kerri, Brooke and Gaynor who did a marvellous job.

We arrived about 7ish on a Friday evening, there appeared to be very few in the restaurant, however it took nearly 5 mins to acknowledge that we were waiting by the door when we were informed someone would be out to see us shortly we waited several more minutes, about 10 in total, after which my partner and I decided to go elsewhere. There appeared to be about 5 members of staff in the bar area but not one was available for that amount of time to attend to us.

No waiting staff, booked a table was seated then told would have to order at the bar. Restaurant prices for a bar meal. Was quiet but still had to wait 45 minutes for food.

Went with my partner and my son. Stood for a while before being greeted by a morose member of staff who made us feel in the way, but seated us. The waitress was lovely and friendly and took our order. We didn't have to wait...

The last thing you want on a relaxing night out is a member of staff hoovering at 9pm, you don't expect that on a night out

The restaurant was clean, staff attentive and quick service. It was lunch time on New Year’s Eve so we got to make the most of the Christmas themed menus too! Everyone was happy with their meals even the fussy eaters. The highlight was the amazing desserts… I recommend the banoffee cheesecake! Thank you to the team at table table!

Went for breakfast on Christmas Eve, the service was shocking, when we arrived our table was set up with insufficient seats for the booking, we asked for more seats, to be told they were all taken, we had booked,and the error was theirs, these things happen, but instead of offering to sort it out, the "man" behind the bar said "you don't have to eat here" not what I expect from a customer faced job role! Eventually a more helpful member of staff sorted us out, but to be honest they had over booked and weren't able to cope with the food needed to deal with the number of customers waiting for food to come out from the kitchen, when the scrambled egg finally came out the queue had several people in it, and enough scrambled egg for 2!!! The food was tasty, just painfully slow Not the best experience I've had here

Went over for a 3 course meal there where 16 of us and when the main come out it was cold absolutely shocking never again . I'm a local and this has happened on numerous occasions. The bar staff where apologetic and friendly.

Needed to feed my kids before their school play so popped in Barum gate for a quick bite. We were greeted by Gaynor, who was an absolute delight, and she helped us sort our order quickly and made sure the food arrived as soon as possible! She went above and beyond in regards to customer service and, despite the fact I was in a rush, I felt so relaxed and my kids had a great time! They loved their food and we will back again in a few days thanks to Gaynor's welcoming attitude!

Expectations were never going to be high, but here we go… A reasonable broad menu that was let down with it all not quite being right. Veggie Thai curry was an after thought to vegetarians - a plate full of broccoli with a handful of red chillies for good measure. Chicken curry was drowning in sauce. Tasty if a bit runny. Kids chips and sausages was exactly that (although it took a couple of goes to get that right) To top it off was a smash igloo ice-cream that the kitchen staff had thoughtfully smashed before serving. Along with heaped tablespoons of icing sugar…. Un-trained but friendly wait staff pulls me up to a three star review.

What a dreadful place this is , please take the warning and avoid . we used this place as it was attached to the Premier inn where we stayed and had breakfast there. The food was a hot buffet and looked good however it was stone cold ! , I got a refund and ended up at McDonalds across the road ,,,,, even the coffee was luke warm and very weak . After a busy day and a combination of different circumstances we found ourselves desperate to eat so reluctantly we ended up back here . I decided to order basic food that could not be messed up ( Nachos and chips ) and my wife had a burger . My food was again completley stone cold and my wifes ,, just edible . Bearing in mind that this was 8;30 at night on a Saturday the place was deserted ( cant think why), in fact the waitress had to check that the chef was still serving !!. Never will I return to this god awful excuse for a venue , it is simply the most apalling place I have ever set foot in . You have been warned ... go to McDonalds across the road for a far superior experience .

Had a nice lunch with our noisy kids. All staff were friendly and attentive, shout out to Gaynor. It was the first time in as long as I can remember that the kids' meals didn't come out nuclear hot and were ready to eat. Nothing worse than having the kids melt down because they are sat staring at food they can't eat, waiting for it to cool down. Price didn't break the bank, which was an added bonus. Will certainly go again.

Arrived it was a ghost town, took at least 5 minutes if not more for a member of staff to greet us, the couple said behind said it's always like this... Allergy menu absolutely spot on and really helpful in regards to catering to it. Staff were friendly and very helpful. I was quite cold but we had been sat near a door.
