I was very exited to have my first experience eating at Taco Bell but unfortunately, the experience was very disappointed. The portion size is quite small with hardly any filling. You will get more from Mcdonald for the same financial value.

Great fan off Taco Bell food, only criticism is when you do not receive correct order.. contacted via email to raise this issue as not the first time..the reply was very quick while investigating..final email was very disappointing as told had to now contact delivery service🤷🏻‍♀️ Felt like I was being passed over, why they could not respond in a positive way.. this left me even more disappointed.. If food is not available then make contact to update, medical conditions govern dietary requirements.. Due to the nature in way it was dealt with or lack off, I leave a negative review.. Food arrived lovely and hot..

Almost every table, station and floor was filthy not like karen levels filthy, im talking “hasnt been cleaned since we opened” filthy. health and safety would have a feild day. The restaurant only had 3 families in there, mentioned how dirty everything was incase the acting GM/ supervisor wasnt aware and he said “we are too busy” If 3 families is“too busy” to spare 20 mins whizzing around then I genuinely feel sorry for any new GM that starts there (they are advertising) they have some serious work to do managing sloths. Kitchen was filthy also and everyone looked.. I dont know, kinda spaced out. This franchise owner needs to step in, a fast food place should not be this quiet or filthy.. Yikes.

Taco Bell has never been the best, but this time it was really bad. Burritos were filled with sauce mainly. Almost no meat in them. Tastes like eating a sauce with bread.

Nice food, tastes a little bit processed, but it is fast food after all.

Gave me just what I needed, a spanish/Mexican fast food fix. It was quiet on a Sunday lunchtime. Food served timely and with well presented salad in the chicken taco.

First time using Taco Bell. I thought it was good, pretty cheap and tasted good. Fries were really good! I ordered wrong and they made me a new order without any problems, good service. Would come back.

After waiting more than 15 minutes for some supreme fries (It was extremely quiet) I drive home over 20 minutes away and open the box to an absolute disappointment. For £4.29 to get old chips and a measly spoon full of cheese, what a joke.

Food tastes great! Shame they have taken the fast out of “fast food” plus most of the time the place looks abandoned

It wasn’t busy when we arrived but due to the incredibly (almost unbelievably) slow workforce which consisted of three dreary eyed grumps - my partner and I ended up spending the majority of our evening sat watching the three stooges twiddle their thumbs benignly. The food is as expected - luke warm and mostly correct which would’ve been fine if not for the airport length wait. Shame.

AWFUL! It wasn't busy at all, my boyfriend ordered for me and him, 20 minutes go by and no food. He's order 128, a lady goes up and asks for her order 113 to put into perspective how far behind they were with the orders. A family sat down who was in before my boyfriend still hadn't even got their food. How bad of a shop do you have to be to be that far behind? I usually don't complain but when you're drenched in rain, cold, back hurting and you find out your order might take 20 minutes longer in a non busy place, I kind of needed to make a comment.

Amazing food as always, compared the mcdonalds, KFC, ect this is always a healthier option. Good salad in tacos and other food. I recently switched up watch I got from a taco supreme to a crunchwrap supreme ans it was worth it! Much bigger and better. Service was a bit slow but that is rare and there was only one person doing orders. That person was very nice and helpful.

Recommend eating as a delivery because after you eat it you go to toilet.

Third time here and no toilets available. Food was ok, portion fillings seem smaller and only the chips were hot. As a disabled person I must have toilets, so I’m afraid I won’t be back again.

For some reason the beef texture has changed to a mushy paste And the volcano burrito is now the size of the cravings baby burrito It’s awful, shame as when the store opened it was alright

Seriously bad food poisoning! Everyone that ate this the day before contracted a bacteria called campylobacter! I’m still violently ill never again

First visit to a taco bell, good food, good value when buying value box. Slow service, used self serve machine but had to wait 20 minutes for food- only 2 people working but they were trying their best. Back half of restaurant always seems to be closed, so only 3 tables free to use, which when busy isn’t great, management sort out staffing and open the rest up!!

Been a couple of times as the first experience wasnt great so thought it was only fair to give it a second chance. Sadly the second time was as bad as the first. Poorly organised, food wasnt anything great and the place was pretty grubby.

Tables and floor is Always filthy. Toilets are filthy. Food is pretty meh. It's all just the same flavours for everything. Low quality and quantity of food for the price. The staff are always friendly which is the only good thing! Music is always very loud so atmosphere is awful.

Didn't go there went to subway next door

Food was fine and very reasonably priced. Staff were fine. The music though - the worst music I have heard in years. Made me want to leave it was so annoying and mind-numbing.

I came here to try the place with my dad and it was AMAZING!! I had never tried a taco before and loved the flavours in even just the basic one, and their fries are the best I have ever tasted! I could immediately taste the paprika and fell in love with them! I'll definitely be wanting to take the drive up here to be able to try more from the menu here!

Taco bell , high price , small portions Just about feed a mouse for £10 , Tasteless Some sort of bread wrap with lettuce & red bits no taste , white cream stuff and a few tiny scraps of meat , If you like lots of meat like i do , then buy a kebab instead , the small portion of chips were nice , and that's about it .

Limited menu options, but does 'what it says on the tin'. Some options were smaller than expected. Limited description of what each item is. The seasoning on the chips was really nice and the kids enjoyed the churros. Bonus was free sauces!

Slow and hell really small meal

Bad food poisoning that was very likely caused by this. Ate it at 5pm, the very next day I’ve had vomiting and diarrhoea. Absolutely gross.

Absolutely love the food here but it looks nothing like the pics on the board. Most staff are wonderful but one of the managers was soo rude to me. Think he's had the boot since so all good (nothing to do with me!!)

Didn't get a photo, I'd already eaten it before I could take a picture. Chips were excellent, taco was okay it just lacked any volume of meat. I'm aware this is profit related but some substance would have been nice. Overall very good but only because of the spicy chips.

Never had taco bell before, heard the hype from others and gave it a go - was pleasantly surprised! The food is delicious, the fries are amazing. You get what you pay for generally but for the prices and portions I wouldn't have a single complaint. The service is always friendly and very welcoming, it's a nice little restaurant and I don't really think you can go wrong. And if you like churros, then you'll love these!

Decent food, fresh for most part, super nice staff, quick service. It’s not like an authentic “Tex Mex” restaurant some of us are used to but it will take the craving away 😋

After a brief stop for dinner, myself and my partner grabbed ourselves a bundle meal for two and it was delicious! It's much cheaper and much more efficient than other fast food chains. : D

I came here for a little meal after the gym, it’s very convenient and the staff were lovely. Gail had a big smile on her face and was extremely friendly. The staff and food weee both very good, I will definitely come again :)

Exceptional service from staff, very friendly and extremely efficient. Food was all fresh and hot, portion sizes were very good, place was really clean, felt very welcome and would highly recommend. The manager should be very proud of service provided. Will be back again

I popped in for lunch in Barnstaple this week and was pleasantly surprised by how good it was, the food was great and so much quicker than when they first opened. The lady who served me was so friendly and helpful and seemed to genuinely enjoy her job! I would definitely recommend

Always polite and clean and never hhhad a bad meal

Not very impressed. The food, the place and the staff were all mediocre.

Food was nice Service was typical fast food, no smiles and just get the food out. The air con was on a full blast so the place was very chilly especially at the service screens whole placing orders but they did turn it up on request. The place itself needed a clean an untidy up, not the staffs fault as they were busy but they should have someone on to clean and tidying up. I ended up wiping down to drinks area so other customers didn't have to deal with the mess. My wife used the toilets and said they weren't clean with urine splashes, this could've happened just before as they are unisex so need checking regular if small boys are using them. The atmosphere was very sterile and I think even a little back ground music would've helped improve this and apart from going there for a quick take out I doubt I'll go back.

Food has always been correct and hot. Staff are lovely. Gail was especially helpful when the app wasn't working properly.

Service is quick and the staff is friendly. Food can sometimes taste and feel greasy but not all the time.

Got take away from here, food was ready quickly and well priced.

The food was good, but the service not. Staff didn't seem to be enjoying their job and the place wasn't clean. Staff replied on customers clearing their rubbish, but didn't check. Tables hadn't been cleaned

Filthy restaurant, mess all over the floor, sticky tables that I had to clean myself with baby wipes, awful food, tasteless and hardly any filling, just watery lettuce in a wrap 🤢 which we were charged £28 for! Staff didn’t want to know, all stood behind the counter looking fed up and we’re no help at all, so I made a complaint and eventually got a reply, took a few weeks though!! 🙄 Worst Taco Bell we’ve ever been too, don’t waste your money!!

This is an edited review from when they first opened. Food is good, fresh, everything is in place. Took a few months for this store to find their feet but I regularly eat here. Thumbs up. I'll leave the first review for comparison..... Forgot food on our order, place was under staffed. They've been open over a month and twice the experience has been ridiculous. I love taco bell in the states but the Barnstaple location is a constant mess. Cold sloppy food and long waits.

Helpful staff nothing is to much trouble.. took their advice on the menu and selection.. We made a good choice and had the best meal ever in a fast food restaurant... Bar none.. Well done to you all

Should be giving zero stars across the board, as this place is a stinker. If we ignore the serious food poisoning my wife suffered, there is still nothing to recommend this dive. New, shiny premises, can't hide the fact the service is slow, the staff can't be arsed, and food is diabolical and the atmosphere non existent. A funky American concept made sterile and grim by the Brits! Poorly prepared chicken is the suspected cause of the sickness, and it's no real surprise, when you watch the food prepared to such a poor standard. Avoid at all costs!

I recently visited a Taco Bell and had a fairly good experience. The food was hot and fresh, and the restaurant was clean and well-maintained.

One of my favourite fast food joints since it can't to Barnstaple. I recommend the Volcano Burrito

Typical fast food, with the portions a bit small for my liking, but very tasty! The interior is a little 'anticeptic', but the staff were very friendly, and helpful.

My local Taco Bell, food is always good and the team are always happy and smiling.

Food is delicious, but don't go if you're in a rush. Been numerous times since they opened and it will take anywhere from 20-40 mins to get your order even a small one i.e. 2-3 items for one not a family order. I personally think it's worth the wait but only advice would be expect a wait even when only slightly busy!

After I saw all the bad reviews I was hesitant to go but since we were close we stopped by it was very good all the food was hot and it was all Nicky seasoned I don’t know why this place has bad reviews

Clean, quick, food exactly what you would expect from a Taco Bell.

Ordered for delivery. Not only did they miss out two items I paid extra for, the food also arrived cold and they forget to put any beef in a beef quesadilla 🤦‍♀️ will not be ordering from here again.

Made a simple order of 4 items they were busy but after an hour of waiting and they hadn't even started our order, staff were miserable and one of the chefs constantly wipping his nose in his shirt and the state of the kitchen I wouldn't even give that kind of food to my dog. If they have more than half a dozen orders on the go my advice would be to cancel your order and go somewhere else because you won't get your food.

Waited an hour with no food in sight. In the end I walked out order was meant to be with me at 2:15 and by 3:00 there was still nothing. 4 members of staff running the whole thing one wiped his nose on his shirt in front of everyone. There was food all over the floor and was just being walked on top of. No one was manning the tills.

A new branch to the area with lots of variation on the Mexican theme. Not the largest of portions and not the hottest of sauces. Major problems with the printers of the self service points not working.

Seems like a empty wrap, flattened and attempted to warm no chicken tiny amount of cheese The beef taco left a disgusting after taste very dissatisfied !

I was looking forward to trying Taco Bell what a disappointment there was more filing in a crisp packet. Don’t eat here if you are hungry do eat here if you are on a diet. There was very little food in the taco and the cheese was dried powder. I have given it a star but would be more inclined to minus 5 stars.

Been here many times. Been tolerant with other issues because it’s my local Taco Bell and they’re new. However, today was ordering online earliest is the following day. So I went in, ordered via screen it was error, tried again and the rest of the screens were errors. Had to go on a queue to order through the til, after half hr standing there no one attended the til. All young staff in the kitchen like half of them were confused. No manager around. I just left. Wasted my time, very disappointed.

Really good, staff were helpful, food was fab and prices were very reasonable. Will be going back, probably more than I should. Also makes a nice change from all the usuals we have around here.
